How can I make a table cell liquid?
Let me explain...
I have a table on one of my photo pages. It consists of 3 columns, the first which is merged all the way through, and 5 rows.
The last 2 columns house my thumbnails, and the 1st column acts as the "container" of the selected thumbnail.
Now when I select a vertical photo everythin looks great. But when I select a horizontal thumbnail, it is squished to fit in the 1st column.
Is there a way to make that 1st column a "liquid" width so that it can adapt to the size of whicever photo it is displaying?
NEVERMIND - figured it out.

How can I make a table cell extend beyond a page? The text disappears when the cell becomes bigger than the page. I want the table to continue to the next page.
As a student, you might be able to get Office for Mac from the college bookstore at a substantial discount. Otherwise, I think your best option for documents that need to be shared with Office users is to get one of the free Office clones such as LibreOffice.

How can I make a table screen-reader accessible?
I need to make a table screen-reader accessible prior to publishing on the web. Is there any way to make a table accessible in Numbers?
This is difficult to answer without more specifics. How are you publishing to the web? And which screen reader are you targeting? In general you can get data out of a Numbers table quite easily in csv format (either comma-separated or tab-separated). With some work in AppleScript you could export it as a table with html markup. Presumably from there you have tools to convert and publish.

How can I make fact table?
Hi all
I would like to make fact table in oracle 11g using SQL syntax. how can I do so?
Is Analytical Workspace Manager available by defult in oracle 10g or 11g?
Do you recommand good book for implementing star schema or ROLAP? i want the setps and sql syntax examples.
thanksHi,
You can make a fact table through any number of ways viz:
- CREATE TABLE syntax , your table design would correspond to the dimensional model (Star Schema / Snowflake Schema) specifications
- You can alternately use an ETL Tool like OWB to design your star schema
As far as I know i dont think Analytical Workspace Manager comes by default with an Oracle DB Installation
- Read any book you find on Dimensional Modeling to get a hang on building Star Schemas and OLAP Concepts. You would definitely find one such book in "The Oracle documentation library" -
How can I make a table span multiple pages?
Hi guys,
I really hope someone can help me out. First off I am a indesign novice. I have primarily been using indesign scripting to take other user's indesign documents and generating dynamic previews and PDFS with indesign server 2014 (it's pretty cool stuff).
Someone gave me an indesign document that has a table that starts off in the middle of the page and depending on how many rows they want the table to be it should bump the overflow'ed table rows to the 2nd page.
In indesign I have tried to link the text frames together. It looks ok in indesign as the linked content shows up on page two.
Whenever I run the script to generate the preview JPEG the table on page 1 gets cut off and doesn't render anything on page 2.
Using a script I was able to examine all the textframes on the page and none of the text frames have their "overflows" property set to true.
What am I doing wrong here? I'm sure there are a million things I'm missing but what are some of the basic things I can look for. I'm totally lost here guys.
Thanks,
DustinDustinMichaels1982 wrote:

I'm not familiar with the script you are talking about, but if you want to make Jpegs of your pages, the best route is to export the document as PDF, and then open in Photoshop, where you can save as Jpeg. If creating Jpegs was not your goal, can you explain further? -
How can I get a table cell to change color if its below some value
Hi everyone, I use JDeveloper with JHeadstart and just finished the tutorial using the predefined HR schema. I was wondering how would I go about making the color of a cell to change to red if it falls below 5. So for example if I was to measure the amount of printer cartridges we had in storage, and it falls to below 5, in the table that has the equipment the cell changes color to red?
You better aks this question on the jdeveloper forum as it is not related to jheadstart.
Once you know how to do this, this forum can help you woth keeping your page generatable using a custom template.
See also the chapter on customizing generator output in the jheadstart developers guide.

How can I make a table tent in PAGES with both halves of the info and pictures turned towards each other? I can figure out how to turn just the picture upside down AND the text sideways, but not upside down with the picture included so that it is at the top and not the bottom!
Layout the picture and text (in text boxes) the way you want them in the lower half of the page. Then Select All and Group them. With the Group selected, type Cmnd+D to duplicate it and then hold down the Shift and Command keys and grab a corner box (you’ll see a double headed arrow) and rotate the box until it’s upside down. (Holding down the Shift key will constrain the rotation to 45 and 90 degree positions.) Now drag the box into position in the top half of the page.

How can I make the current row in a different color in ADF Table 10.1.3
Hi all
in JDeveloper 10.1.3 ADF Table ,
How can I make the current row in a different color ?
thanksAnd what exactly would "the component" be?
I tried the af:outputText, but it just creates a <span> around the value of the cell, and if I try the af:column it just won't use it at all!
Any suggestions? -
How can I make a chart ignore cells until their value is changed from 0?
In the corresponding table, I used conditional formatting to hide zeros in the highlighted row by conditionally changing the text color to that of the table background. However, the zero value's are still represented in the corresponding chart as you can see in the attached photo . How can I make the chart ignore certain cells only until their values are changed from zero? Thanks in advance!
RyanHi Ryan,
Leave the cells empty until they're needed, or, if the cells' contents are determined by a formula, revise the formula to insert a null string if the value is zero.
=IF(your formula = 0, "", your formula)

In Numbers, how can I make a cell reference a constant in a formula?
This is a basic question, but I am not sure of the answer. I am trying to calculate a previous SUM that I have by a column. But when I calculate it, it keeps looking for data in the cells after the SUM that I already have.
In other words, how can I get a constant cells value into my equation?
Any help would be great!
(In excel, I could do it just by placing $ around my cell field. Like H23 would be $H23$. THanks!)JJ,
Numbers works exactly like Excel in this regard. To change H23 from a reference that will change if the formula is moved to a fixed cell reference, make it $H$23.

How can I make that the cursor of a table ...
Hello,
how can I make that the cursor of a table (on the frontpanel) go to the starting position? I have placed a table that give back the number of the row if I doubleclick a row on the frontpanel, but when I restart the vi the cursor of the table is on this position. If I have many informations in the table and after restarting there are just one or two, I can`t see this information without scrolling to the top of the table. I want that the cursor (that I see) is at the first row. How can I make it?
thankyou

Row 6 in this spreadsheet is the result of Row 2/Row 3 as evidenced by the formula listed while Cell Y6 selected. How can I make the values in this row appear as durations of minutes and seconds rather than 3-digit decimals? For example, rather than appearing as 9.84 I would like the value of Cell Y6 to appear as 9:50 or 9min 50sec. (obviously .84x60seconds 50 seconds). I tried changing the cell formats from "number" to "duration," but no change is made. Using the "duration" format does however work if I am manually entering the decimal value into the cell rather than allowing it to result from another caluclation within the spreadsheet. Is there a solution to this within Numbers '09? You can see why I would want the "pace" displayed in minutes and seconds. Thanks in advance!
RyanHi Ryan,
You wrote:
"The problem is that my "Distance" is a row of automatically generated values resulting from ((Row1/60)*Row 6). Changing the format of Row 1 to minutes causes row two to be expressed as a duration, which obviously it shouldn't because it is a distance. The spreadsheet has to be designed so that all I have to manually input on each entry are Row 1 Values (Time) and Row 6 Values (Average Pace). The rest of the cells must be automatically poulated as a result of formulas."
I'm assuming that where you say "Row 1" in this you mean "Row 2", which is labeled "Time" in the example in the OP.
In the original post, you presented a formula from cell Y6. Replacing the Header labels in that formula's cell reference with the Addresses of the referenced cells, the formula was:
Y6: =Y2/Y3
In this post, you are saying that Y6 contains entered data: "...all I have to manually input on each entry are Row 1 Values (Time) and Row 6 Values (Average Pace).
Which is correct?

Note: cpu costing is offI've tried to look thru your sql and changed it a bit. Of course not testet :-)
Your problem isn't the archive table! I tried to remove the 2 selects from the select-clause. Furthermore you have a lot of nested loops in your explain, which is a performance-killer. Try getting rid of them, perhaps use /*+ USE_HASH(?,?) */.

How can i make a CHECK in an ALTER table, to compare 2 Variables of TWO different tab
I have 3 tables:
EVALUATION (No_expert, No_article)
EXPERT (No_expert, origine, name)
AUTHOR_ARTICLE (No_Article, Code_author)
AUTHOR (Code_author, Name, Original)
and my question is: How can i make a check to refuse each time an EXPERT ADDED to the EVALUATION table. If this one is an AUTHOR, in other words, the EVALUATION.No_expert must <> than AUTHOR.Code_author.
This is what i did but it doesn't work:
ALTER TABLE EVALUATION ADD CONSTRAINT No_expert
CHECK (EVALUATION.No_expert <> AUTHOR_ARTICLE.Code_author);
thank a lot
