How can I make an image link to a movie?

I noticed something really awesome in the free Biology textbook on iBooks, and I wanted to try to recreate it in iBooks author, however I cant quite seem how to figure out how it was done. In the Biology book, there is an image of a gentleman on page 8 that has a play button on it. Upon clicking that image, a video plays and opens up full screen. I originally though this was done using the Hyperlink inspector and making the image LINK to play a video, however upon further review I noticed that you cannot LINK an image to anything. My next thought was maybe that it was an HTML widget of some sort, but most HTML widgets, when pinched are separate from the page, where as this acts more like how an image acts on a page and doesnt really the move. So does anyone have any ideas on how this was done? I really like the idea of having a masked image be interactive and turned into a video.
Any ideas?
-Mike

If the folder is outside the Muse page, you will have to insert manual HTML to define a more complex URL like e.g. ../_stuff for going one level up and then into a folder called "_stuff" The deeper you are in the hierarchy, the more ../ you will have to add to climb up.

  • How can I make a image like this one? (image in description)

    Hi guys I need to know how can I make a image like this one http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/2710/69823211.gif
    I need step by step instructions please. How can I animate it like that? Whats the font? Tell me everything please.

    To do a step by step instruction on here will take someone a very long time, as you havent really said at what level you are at.
    On Youtube there are a lot of animation tutorials for PS. But essentially in this case you are moving that white streak across a few frames at a time.
    The font might be found with the help of http://http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

  • How can I make an image appear partially in front and partially behind another layer in Adobe Illustrator?

    How can I make an image appear partially in front and partially behind another layer in Adobe Illustrator?

    Put the image behind the layer (at the back of it or on a layer below). With it still selected, Copy.
    Now Paste in Front (Ctrl+F). Depending on your Paste Remembers Layers setting, you may have to bring the newly pasted copy to the front, or to the upper layer.
    Draw a shape over the image to define the portion of it you want to appear "in front."
    With the shape and the image selected, clip the image using the shape. (Object > Clipping Mask > Make)

  • HT204053 I just changed my apple ID, how can I make my icloud link up with my new ID?

    I just changed my apple ID, how can I make my icloud link up with my new ID?

    Did you simply change the primary email address of your existing AppleID at
    https://appleid.apple.com/
    Or, did you create a new AppleID.  If you created a new AppleID, then you cannot.  All you can do is use the iCloud with the old AppleID, or create a new iCloud account with the new AppleID.
    If you changed the primary email address of the exisitng AppleID, you may need to uninstall the iCloud account on the iPhone and reinstall it to get it to use the new email address and password (you won't loose anything, its just there a means of resetting the cached credentials associated with the iCloud account).

  • How can you make an image change every time you refresh a page?

    Hi.
    I've recently redone my website and was wondering how I could make the image on my main page change every time you refresh the page?
    Like is there a certain script you can use?
    Here's my website
    www.liamfawcett.com
    Thanks

    Copy & Paste the following JavaScript code between the <head> and </head> tags in your HTML document, in Code View of course.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--//Random Banner image on Page Reload
    //store the images in arrays below
    images = new Array(5);
    images[0] = "<a href='http://www.example.com'><img src='some_image.gif' </a>";
    images[1] = "<a href='http://www.example.com'><img src='some_image.gif' </a>";
    images[2] = "<a href='http://www.example.com'><img src='some_image.gif' </a>";
    images[3] = "<a href='http://www.example.com'><img src='some_image.gif' </a>";
    images[4] = "<a href='http://www.example.com'><img src='some_image.gif' </a>";
    index = Math.floor(Math.random() * images.length);
    document.write(images[index]);
    //done
    // -->
    </script>
    In the array, change URLs (http://www.example.com) to your own links.  Change images (some_image.gif) to your own images.
    Save page.  Preview in browser.  Hit refresh (F5 or Ctrl+R) to see the images change.

  • How can you make an image adjustment on all images in a Stack

    If one had a stack of images that need a brightness adjustment. How can you preform the adjustment a stack of images that need the same amount of adjustment?
    Many times I have a stack of images that need a +10 brightness adjustment on them and it would save a lot of time if I could do it on a whole stack of images.

    good points, as l/s takes every adjustment ... including autolevels/exposure ... BUT DOESN'T make them auto to the next image(s), it just lifts the current image settings !!! which is fine for a five shoot series all at the same exposure, but not so much when it is not !!!

    See which form of ActionScript you used to make the site.
    Open the Actions panel and see whether you've chosen AS versions 1
    & 2, or AS 3. If you've picked the earlier versions, you can
    attach a link easily to each button by clicking on the button, and
    adding a little code in the Actions panel. Turn on ScriptAssist to
    make it easier. Click on "on" and choose "release" or "press" or
    both. Then scroll down the commands on the left and add getURL. You
    will then have a few lines that say something like, on(Release)
    getURL("putyourpageurlhere"). See bottom for exact syntax. That's
    all. The new .html or .php page will load when the button is
    clicked.
    If your buttons are not actually four-state buttons, but
    graphic or movie clip symbols, you will have do it a little
    differently. Instead of attaching the code to a button, you attach
    it to a keyframe. You give your symbol an instance name in the
    property panel, then in the Actions panel create a function that
    says essentially: when you click on this instance (onRelease)
    getURL.
    If you're using AS3, the concept is similar but the code is
    different. With a quick search you can find dozens of code examples
    that you can cut and paste.
    Here's that AS2 button code...

  • How can I make multi-colored links change their rollover or hover color?

    I have made links with seperate colors using css, but the links with new colors have no hover property. I want these links to change color when the cursor hovers over them the same way the other links on my page do. I have tried making a new css rule for <hover> and tried writing the property into the css code but to no effect. I have searched the web and this forum for an answer and found notheing that works. Does anyone know how to give links with multiple colors a hover property that will make them change color? All of my other links change color as defined in the page properties, but the links with new color rules don't change color anymore. This is probably pretty basic. I'm new to DW, using CS6. If anyone can provide a step by step and show where the code should be inserted, this would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!

  • How can I make my images look good when exporting to PDF document?

    Hello! I'm struggling here with a PDF Brochure that I need to create (intended for web only, not print).
    There are two images that look horrible and pixelated when I create my PDF file. I have tried everything, making the images bigger and smaller, using 72 dpi images and 300 dpi ones. Everything results the same way... It looks perfect in my InDesign file, but in the PDF it looks all damaged. Here are two screen shots, one of how it looks in the PDF and one of how it looks in InDesign.
    Could you please tell me what I need to do to guarantee that the image looks good quality in the PDF? (My document is 40cmx20cm, I don't not if using cm is affecting the document).
    To export to PDF I'm using the option: Adobe PDF pressets --> Smallest file size.
    If you can help me I would really appreciate it!
    Thank you,
    Nataly.

    If it's for the web, why not export to JPEG?  Why PDF?
    Terrible idea. In a JPG the text will not be alive, you loose all interactivity.
    And making JPGs with InDesign is not what the program is meant to make.

  • How can I make an image appear partially in front and partially behind another layer?

    I have a drawn vector image that is behind a layer with a stroked ellipse like this:
    However I need just one part of the image to appaer in front of the stroke.  In this image I need the paw on the right to be in front of the stroke but I need the other leg to be covered by the stroke:
    I'm guessing I need to somehow make a copy of just the paw and place it on a layer above the layer with the stroke in order to achieve this effect however I don't know how to do that in Illustrator.  Any help would be appreciated.

    What program was the artwork created in and what version of Illustrator are you using? ALWAYS provide this information first so we know what features you have available.
    If everything is native Illustrator artwork, then you can probably copy the portion of the paw you want outside the circle and use a PathFinder command to merge that shape with the circle, then put the resultant shape behind the artwork.
