How can I make my iphone not auto open iphoto?

I have an iphone 4 and I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7 on MacBook Pro. My iphone is running iOS 4.3.3.
My problem is, is that every time I plug my iphone in to my Mac it automatically opens iphoto 8.1.2 Vers.
How do I make it stop?

Go into iphoto preferences and tell it to do nothing when a digital camera is attached.
It will not open when any camera is attached.

If you're trying to decide between using POP and IMAP, we encourage you to use IMAP.
Unlike POP, IMAP offers two-way communication between your web Gmail and your email client. This means when you log in to Gmail using a web browser, actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a 'work' folder) will instantly and automatically appear in Gmail (ex: it will already have a 'work' label on that email the next time you sign in).

I know it is not dead because I can see the apple logo on, and every time I connect it to a USB port to charge, or a wall charger, the battery appears with a bit of red. Still, it wont turn on. It's been like this for three days now and I haven't stopped charging it. IT just WONT charge? Any tips I can use to solve the issue?

It sounds like the iPhone is experiencing issues upon startup, and may not be loading the firmware or operating system correctly. If you have not already done so, try resetting the iPhone while connected to power:

I wanted this function as well and I just downloaded "BBClendar Free" and it works perfectly for this, better than an inexpensive digital watch!
Just go to the Advanced section, enable the hourly beep and even set which hours (mine is 8 AM - 10 PM) and what minute of each hour it beeps on. Just be sure to leave the program open when you go on standby or it won't beep.
As the App's description says, "Hourly Beep helps you to take a moment to rest in a busy day for every hour."

Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

You cannot have the keyboard gone altogether, because it has to come up when an app needs input. The best way to do what you want to do is make sure that no apps are running when you are to go gaming: double click the Home button, swipe up all pages that show (not the app icon but the app page). then start the gaming. It it then still comes up, you look at what app is asking for it and set push notifiactions and autotarting off for that app in the settings.

I have a BT internet account which I use with my PC and my iPad. The iPad is set to leave all messages on my server for subsequent download to my PC on which I keep a copy of all messages. I have now got an iPhone but I cannot select it to do the same. So when I read a message on my iPhone it is deleted and I cannot download it and deal with it later on my PC.

         Thanks for your reply. I am indeed using an IMAP account on my iPhone, but the problem is that I am using the same account on both my iPad and my new iPhone, both using the same ios. .
   When on the iPad I go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Account, I get a pop-up overlay on which there is an Advanced option which takes me to a page where I can select an option under the Incoming Settings section to 'Delete from Server' on which I have selected 'Never' (The Server Port is 110).
When on iPhone, and I go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Account, I get a similar page but when I select Advanced I get where the Advanced option appears in the iPad under the Incoming Settings , ther is simply a statement saying 'IMAP Path Prefix /', and the server port is 143.
   Any suggestions, please?

My thought exactly. I would like to know why Apple designed it this way. I think you should be able to manage your files on any computer with any product. This has been my biggest gripe about Apple. If I have a song or photo on my desktop computer and want it on my iphone great. I should also be able to take that song or photo from my iphone and put it on my laptop at work. Hmmmm.
