How can I make my ipod stop freezing and refusing to boot up?

My ipod will randomly, about 25-50 times a day, refuse to start up and I have to reset it (Hold sleep/power till...etc)
Is there any way to make this stop?
I have kinda gotten used to it, but it is still really annoying. It will also not exit apps and not recognize any buttons. After a while of this, it freezes, and may or may not unfreeze.

One of you needs to use a separate Apple ID for iCloud, FaceTime & iMessage.
The Apple ID needs to be a verified email address. Once you have an email address, that can be verified, go here & create the ID:
https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId
Then on one of the phones, turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you both share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.

When I first got my iPod I chose for it NOT to sync automatically but I should have. I have no idea how to get back to those settings but want to change it so it syncs on it's own. Rightclick the video in iTUnes, hit Get info then the "Options" tab. Beside kind you can set it to movie. music video. or TV show
