How can i make my songs playable?

since i updated to ios 5, i lost all my songs, even though i clicked the "update" not "restore" now i gotta start all over again, but this time when i tried to put some songs on there it showed up as this i dont know what that gray area means, im thinking it was the iCloud but i already chose to put backup on my computer, instead, then when i also checked on my ipod touch, nothing was there. so how can i make my songs playable offline?

i figured this out, you have to go to settings > general > itunes wifi sync OR when you're plugged in with itunes you have to check "sync with this ipod over wifi" so that way, when you try to transfer your files, it goes back to black mode instead of gray.. i know, its kinda dumb.. idk why they make things hard for us to figure it out. but thats how it works.. hope that helps

As long as you don't mind doing a little post publish editing of your .js files, it's fairly easy to do. You will find them in this path on your iDisk, using the Go menu in Finder:
Go/iDisk/MyiDisk/Sites/iWeb/Nameofsitefolder/Page_filesFolder/Page.js
Open the .js files for that particular page on your iDisk with any text editor (I like Taco, and it's free) and make the following changes to the script code that controls your movie: (you will find the movie code near the top of the page in the .js file)
Change autoplay="false" to autoplay="true"
Change loop="false" to loop="true"
Changing controller value="true" to controller value="false" will remove the controller from the page entirely. Make these changes in both sets of tags, (object and embed).
Make the changes and just "Save". Clear your browser cache and you should see the changes take effect immediately. Bear in mind you will have to make this modification each time you republish your site. You can also save this modified .js file and replace the republished file with it, as long as no other changes were made to the page in iWeb.

You know, like professional artists- the sound quality is full and all of that good stuff, and I was just wondering if you all had any suggestions on how to get the sound fuller and better. I have a rock duo (which will be expanding, now that we've discovered our new sound)- but we recorded a few demos when we FIRST got together and they don't sound as "professional" when it comes to the sound quality. That's a big, big question.
Short answer, it's a matter of using good recording techniques. Then learning the tools in GarageBand for mixing and mastering, etc. It can take a lot of trial and error, reading, perhaps downloading some AU's and plug-ins that GB doesn't have built in.
But you can start with the Graphic EQ, the Visual EQ, Parametric, Compression. GB has some pre-sets which are a good starting point to see what settings get what kind of sound.
I could go on but this is the short answer. And there can be as many ways as there are recordings.

Sorry, you cannot open the project in an earlier GarageBand version. Upgrading a project is a one-way route.
If you absolutely must work on the project in an earlier version, try to reconstruct the project in the 10.6 version on the machine where you want to use it. You would have to create a new project, export each track separately as an audio file from the GB'11 project, and then import each audio file as a separate track into the reconstructed project.
That would be a lot of work, and you would lose you software instrument tracks - they would turn into real instrument tracks.

The computer can tell the difference between your two iPods. When you first plugged each one in, you named them and the computer recognizes each one as a separate disk.
Now, when you plug in your iPod, and you are looking in iTunes at your iPod contents, you will see four buttons in the bottom right corner of iTunes - the first one is to display iPod options. Click on this, and under the music tab, select "Automatically update selected playlists only". Then, you scroll through your playlists and select only those you want to be transferred to your iPod. Your mother can do the same thing. Now you can each make your own playlists from the same music library, and only those songs you want to go onto your iPod will transfer when you plug it in. You can make the same selections for all the other options too (video, podcats. photos, etc), so that you only have to have what you want on each iPod.
I have two iPods, a new 5g video iPod and an ancient 1g iPod, and have no problems syncing each of them with different playlists and options.

I'd say your sister messed up and your iPod is toasted.
Think about it... She plugged it in to another computer, she doesn't remember what she did (yeah, right), and now your iPod is not being recognized by your computer...
Also take into consideration how old is your sister, and how much does she know about electronics?

GB for iPad doesn't have volume automation, you'd need to import the project into GB on a Mac to create the fade with a volume curve.
