How can i make the AirPort 'unignore' my timecapsule
Hey there,
i am currently trying to include my time capsule in an existing wireless network without any cables (which is the one problem but not my biggest at the moment).
This morning, i klicked the "ignore this time capsule" button in the AirPort Software by accident and since then i am trying to get the timecapsule unignored and back to a connect with my Macbook.
Is there anyone who might know how to do that. I guess there must be a way to erase the list of ignored things or something like that.

This is a guess, but you might try deleting the preference file for AirPort Utility. With AirPort Utility not running, in the Finder hold down an option key while you pull down the "Go" menu. Select "Library" from the menu list. In the resulting window look for and open the Preferences folder. Look for files with names that start with "com.apple.airport". Create a new folder on your Mac's Desktop and drag all those files into the new folder. Now launch AirPort Utility and see if it has forgotten your "Ignore" action.
If this causes anything to go wrong, move those files back, then try moving one of them at a time out of the Preferences folder.
Finally, when you're happy with the result, you can trash the folder you created on the Desktop.

Hi, I’m visiting my family in China, and now trying to help my dad, with his Airport Express and how to set up a PPPoE connection.
We have currently set up the Airport Express in bridge mode (not distributing IP adresses and selecting DHCP under the Internet tab in admin utility). The Airport settings on our two computers is set up to connect using PPPoE using the given login name and password. (ps! we can not see the Base station in Airport Admin Utility when using these settings, we would have to select a new location from the Apple menu to see it and make condigurations.)
What we want is to do, is to have the Airport Express connect to the ISP using a PPPoE connection and not through the computer.
I know there is a 'Connect using PPPoE' option in Airport admin util, letting me input account name and password. If I select this setting instead of DHCP, enable distribution of IP addresses and configure my Airport card to NOT connect using PPPoE, I will see my base station in the Airport admin util with the IP address of 10.0.1.1 (or similar) and my computer will have x.x.x.2. Next to the Airport icon in the menubar, a scrolling message will say 'Looking for PPPoE host' without anything happen. I am sure my account name and password is correct as they've both worked when using this computer to connect to PPPoE (like now)

Ps! Both me and my dad have iPhones whom we can’t seem to get to connect unless its been distributed an IP address cause there's as fars as I know, no options of inputing a PPPoE user name and password.Any solutions to this? I'm in China also, in Beijing, trying to get my Airport Express to work with an ADSL modem.
Direct ethernet cable connection to my Macbook works fine.
When I configure the Airport Express with the ID and password that seems to be fine also – Airport Express shows a green light.
But I cannot figure out the settings to connect wirelessly from my Macbook to the Airport Express. I get a constantly scolling message: "Looking for PPPoEhost..."

How can I make the combo box turn to the value of black.
When the show button is pressed (and not before), a filled black square should be
displayed in the display area. The combo box (or drop down list) that enables the user to choose the colour of
the displayed shape and the altering should take effect immediately.When the show button is pressed,

I have moved my library to an external hard drive and changed the location of the iTunes media folder in Preferences, but every time I close and re-open iTunes, I have to do it all over again. How can I make the iTunes media folder change permanent? I have an older machine with Windows XP.
I don't believe mounting the hard drive should be necessary, unless you have several external drives and want your computer to recognise them as folders, rather than drives. I've never had to mount a hard drive, ever. If you don't know how to do it, then it shouldn't be necessary now.
Try this:
Prepare iTunes so that it can see the external drive.
Make a note of which drive-letter the external drive has been allocated. (Look in Windows Exploer)
Look at the file location for a song. Make sure it plays (and therefore that iTunes has found it). Highlight it and select File/Get Info/Summary>Where: and make a note of the drive letter for that song.
Close and shut down the computer.
The next time you turn the computer on again, connect the external drive
Before you start iTunes - check the external drive in Windows Explorer. Is it ready, does it have the same drive-letter that it had last time? Can you go into the drive and see the files on it?
Once you can, start iTunes. (If the drive lettter has changed, you need to work out why before going any further.)
If iTunes fails to find your external drive, you need to check where iTunes is looking for your Library.
Select the same song you checked before (presumably iTunes can no longer find it). Follow the procedure for locating it. You should be able to see where iTunes thinks the file is. It's the drive that counts. Which drive letter is iTunes looking at? Is it the same one that it was previously (which should also be the same one that the drive has now).

Why do you recommend not place things like iTunes libraries or photo libraries on the drive? It was what I am looking for...
I suggest that you ask the experts over in the iPhoto Support Community about their opinions on placing an iPhoto or Aperture library on the Time Capsule....even if you plan to use a wired connection for your Mac and the Time Capsule.
But, if Terrence Devlin answers, be prepared for a lecture about why you should not ever do this.
If you place the iTunes library on the Time Capsule, be prepared for iTunes to give you messages about not being able to find the library.
In addtion, LaPastenague has the answer for you in a nutshell......corruption problems.
Bottom line....the Time Capsule is for your backups.....not "everyday" files and especially not libraries. -
I have a new iPhone 5C, have the sounds alerts set up. But I'm not getting sound alerts for new voicemail, only the red circle on the screen. How can I make the sound alert work?
I have had this same problem for weeks now with my 4S. I just got a new 5S after being extremely frustrated and the same thing - no sounds. After searching posts all over, I couldn't find a solution. I just told my friend of the issue and he asked "Do you have the Do Not Distrub on?" I didn't even know such a function existed. Upon looking that was exactly the issue.
To resolve, go to Settings> Do Not Disturb> Manual. If it is green, turn it off. You will now get phone calls and text alerts.
This functionality is also on your quick access utility menu (slide up menu). I assume this is how it was enabled on my phone.

From the Photoshop menu bar: File > New > Film & Video Presets. Choose one that suits your FCP project pixel dimensions. Make the background black. Place a white rectangle with rounded corners on top (the white will determine how much of your picture is visible). Flatten Image. Save as TIFF. Import into FCP.
Move your video clips up to V2. Place the imported TIFF on V1. Highlight all clips on V2.
Go to Modify > Composite Mode > Travel Matte Luma. Done.
If you want soft edges, no need for a matte. Double click your clip to place it in the Viewer. Open up the Motion tab > Crop > Edge Feather. Nice and quick. Copy and Paste attributes for the other clips. -
How can i make the optimiser to skip this full table scan ??

I am trying to tune the below query, I have checked up all the possibilities to skip the full table scan on vhd_calldesh_archive, But am unable to find the predicate in the where clause, which is letting the optimiser to choose the full table scan on vhd_calldesk_archive table, which is very large one. how can i make the optimiser to skip this full table scan.

How can I make the spry accordion remember the panel open
when I refresh the page or jump to a new page?
I am using the accordion feature on all my pages as a
navigation aid. It has three panels. When you refresh the page the
panel goes back to the default pane... Is there a way of
controlling this so that the browser can remember the pane that is

When I try to download mozilla it says "can not create temp folder archive"
I click 'run' and after it is done loading a window pops up saying 'can not create temp folder archive' So basically it won't let me download mozilla. What do I do to fix this?
