How can I manage multiple devices in iCloud?

I have 30 devices that I need to manage.  I want all devices to be managed under a single iTunes account.  Attempting to have a separate itunes account for every device would be a huge headach, and serious time-waster.
I do not care one whit about iTunes on a computer, so please don't point me to the article on using multiple iDevices on a single computer.  These devices are not synchronized to computers, unless individual users decide to sync their phone to load up music, photos or whatever.  Further, when the phones come into IT I do not care at all for the data stored on the phones.  These are business phones. So if a user chooses to put anything on the phone, that user is responsible for backing it up / reloading if we have to wipe it.
So, with those criteria -- HOW do I manage all of these devices on a single iCloud account?  Most specifically, I am trying to get "Find My iPhone" to work, but it says that all devices are off-line.  I have my assigned phone in my hand, turned on, and using the internet.
In truth, I actually don't care about anything except the Find My iPhone functionality -- we do not sync our phones with iCloud.

  • How do i manage multiple devices and multiple libraries?

    Hello,
I have 3 computers (mine, my mothers, and my son's).  I have 3 ipads, 2 iphones, and 3 ipod touch's that I need to manage and organize.
I want to take all the "kid stuff" off of my ipad, ipod, and iphone, and my mother's ipad and iphone, and put them on my son's ipad and ipod.  Son's ipod used to belong to my mother, so it was started with her itunes account.  I just synced it with his computer, but had to use her itunes account info to do it.  Son's ipad is new and will be delivered soon. My 3 devices have been synced with my computer and my itunes account.  Mothers 3 devices are synced with her computer.  I just created another itunes account on my son's computer.
How can I get all this data moved around and put on the correct devices and the correct computers?  OR, is there an easier way to do this that I don't know about?  I'm pretty computer savvy, but my head hurts thinking about how to try to do all this.
I also have a Stora device that I would prefer to have all the media live on, rather than 3 individual laptops.
All of the ipads are generation 1, the phones are 3s and 4 (soon to be 4 and 4s), the ipods are all touch, but do not have cameras, and all the computers are window's based.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Sarina

If I can do this, I am usually on Music, but how do I purchase a movie from iTunes store?
Having achieved this, how do I get it onto Apple TV?
    Many Thanks

Maintaining multiple libraries is feasible, but ultimately a bad idea unless you have absolutely no other choice. iTunes can handle switching between multiple libraries, but it is not designed to properly manage multiple libraries. The better option is to move your entire music folder (media file library) to a larger, dedicated volume. You have a Power Mac G5 so you have a number of options, but first there are some things that you need to tell us:
    1. What is the capacity of your current hard drive?
    2. Do you have a second internal drive? If so, what is the secondary drive’s capacity?

  • How can I Manage Multiple Users?

My wife and I both want to organize and edit our digital photos with PSE10.  Up until now, I have managed all of our photos by myself, and I have synchronized all data on both of our computers (and backed up all of our data to an external harddrive).  Now that my wife also wants to organize and edit our photos on her computer, I am finding it difficult to synchronize the PSE Catalogs and photos on our two computers.  So, I am looking for a better procedure.
Should I (and can I) keep my PSE Catalog & Photos on:
    (1) an External Harddrive (which would be connected to only one computer at a time, while that computer user is organizing and editing photos), or
    (2) on a Home Network location where both users could access the photos for organizing and editing (with a "lockout" for photos which are being edited by the other computer user)?
Are there other good or better procedures for managing multiple users of PSE?
My computer is running Win7 Home Premium 64-bit.
My wife's computer is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

Thank all of you for your replies.
    Re SOFTWARE CHOICES:
I decided that my wife and I will each use different software on our different computers.
I decided NOT to upgrade my wife's software from "Windows Live Photo Gallery" (WLPG) to "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10" (PSE).  After a detailed discussion of my wife's wishes, I discovered that she only wants to (1) move our pictures into folders, (2) cull the pix, and (3) create "Album" folders (with only our most memorable pix) to be printed as 8.5" x 11" pages for the Albums.  She wants me to crop, edit, add captions, and print the Album pages.  See the image at the bottom for our current Photo Mgmt Plan.
I will continue to use "Lightroom" (Lr).
    Re SYCHRONIZATION:
I decided that we both can use the same picture files.  I use "GoodSync" to sychronize files between my computer and my wife's computer (and between my computer and my backup HDD).
My wife's "WLPG" does NOT appear to use a database.  My changes (including "Keyword" edits or adds) show up in her "WLPG" program, when picture files have been changed by myself in "Lr" and sychronized with her computer.
After my wife adds folders and/or changes the folder contents, I sync her computer with mine.  I open her folders (which are now also on my computer) in "Lr", and "Import" any of her new and duplicate pictures into "Lr".  Surpisingly and thankfully, the pictures that have been moved to a new folder by my wife do NOT show up in "Lr" in the previous folder (i.e. I do NOT have to find and delete any "Missing" images which were in the previous folder location).
Re MULTIPLE USERS OF A DATABASE:
I do not need to use this now, but I read that "Lr" is designed to work with the "Lr" database (and pictures) on an external HDD.
Thank all of you again for your very helpful replies.

  • How can I manage multiple iPads for different students?

Problem: I need to manage multiple iPads for my students with special needs. I need to download different apps to different iPads and I'm not sure how to keep their apps separate but still keep ultimate control of the units (i.e. lock them from loading anything on the apps that we at the school district haven't approved).
I need to be the only one doing updates, loading software, etc., and don't want to keep using my own personal iTunes account...any suggestions?

If the presenter is using a computer and everyone else has an iPad this is very easy and free. Just use http://join.me and on the iPad just download their free app

  • How do I manage multiple devices for multiple people?

I have an iPad and iPhone. Both of my sons (7 & 9) have an iPod touch. What is the best way to manage our accounts so that hey can't purchase things on my credit card or see my email etc., but, allow them to have access to some items that I purchase?

Open itunes, connect one ipod, select what that person wants, sync.
Do the same for each ipod.
Each will ONLY swync what the user of that device chooses to sync.

  • Managing multiple devices with iCloud

I currently have 3 devices (two iphone 4S and one ipad3) linked to one iTunes and iCloud account. One iPhone and the iPad is for work and I want to completely seperate all contacts, email, calendar, apps, etc. from my personal phone. I currently have contacts and calendars turned off on my personal iPhone, but new contacts, etc are not syncing through iCloud on either device.
What suggestions do you have to seperate my one iphone from my other devices? I tried to create a new user and new icloud account but it does not allow me to change my email address on either icloud account.
    Thanks.

This worked very well! I was searching for a way to merge accounts...and every article i read said almost the same thing; they were working on the idea, but do to copyright laws, it was a difficult maneuver. You provided a 2 sec solution! Many thanks!
-Side note: I would like to find the most efficient way to manage the 5 different devices I am grateful to own. I am a digital media consultant and it is a nightmare trying to go between cloud storage accounts, file conversion, personal CRM, etc.
Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated. Even if its just to the appropriate "discussion" within our community.
I am a newbie to this forum so I apologize if I have posted incorrectly

  • How can I sync Multiple devices with I tunes

Hi, I only have one Itunes account but I have an I phone, my wife has an old i phone and my daughter a new ipod touch.
Is there anyway that I we can have our own music all on my i tunes library but when I sync any of teh 3 devices it would just upload their music. Hope that is clear but example...
In i tunes I have Joy Division for me and JLS for my daughter but when i sync my daughters ipod it uploads all of the library?
    Any help much appreciated

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
I assume you already have all the music in iTunes and yiou all log into the same account?
You could set up three playlists, one for each person and put each persons music into the relevant playlist. Then when each device is connected to iTunes tell it to only sync the relevant playlist, rather than syncing all music.

  • How can I manage multiple JTrees by establishing a link between them?

    Hi guys,
I have a program that load 2 JTree in a separate panel by JSplitPane.
Now what I want to do is that if I click on a node in one of these trees in one SplitPane, I want the other tree to do something correspondingly in another SplitPane.
I know I can make the game big as 2 threads, but I try to solve it in a minimum solution.
Is there any hints and examples?
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi, again,
I have 2 JTree objects. I wrote a JTree node selection listener extends the MouseAdaptor to respond to mouse click in my first JTree object.
The listener works fine and can return me what I need, for example return me the node I clicked and some associated nodes which located in my second tree. These 2 trees locate in separating splitPane in a GUI window.
My idea is let the second tree be updated spontaneously upone the clicking in my first JTree node..How could I inform the second tree about my mouse event in the first tree?
    Thanks to your replies.
