How can I manage multiple devices in iCloud?

I have 30 devices that I need to manage. I want all devices to be managed under a single iTunes account. Attempting to have a separate itunes account for every device would be a huge headach, and serious time-waster.
I do not care one whit about iTunes on a computer, so please don't point me to the article on using multiple iDevices on a single computer. These devices are not synchronized to computers, unless individual users decide to sync their phone to load up music, photos or whatever. Further, when the phones come into IT I do not care at all for the data stored on the phones. These are business phones. So if a user chooses to put anything on the phone, that user is responsible for backing it up / reloading if we have to wipe it.
So, with those criteria -- HOW do I manage all of these devices on a single iCloud account? Most specifically, I am trying to get "Find My iPhone" to work, but it says that all devices are off-line. I have my assigned phone in my hand, turned on, and using the internet.
In truth, I actually don't care about anything except the Find My iPhone functionality -- we do not sync our phones with iCloud.

How can I manage my data sources better?

I'm learning WebLogic and my installation already has a data source configured to point to one of our eight databases. As we move through different phases of development, I need to point to a different database and changing it in WL is cumbersome. What I would like is to have all eight databases added as eight sources and enable only one at a time depending on our needs. I'd like to know:
1) How does WebLogic know which data source to use for my .ear?
2) With more than one data source, how do I ensure that only the one I want is used by my ear?

How can I restore deleted data from ICloud?

Hi,
I just lost my IPhone 4S 32GB. Using find my IPhone app in iCloud, realised that, because of being shut down immediately after loosing, there will be no chance to get it back. So I choosed to remote delete all data from that device.
Although one day later I still had all my data in iCloud, after another two days everything was lost! After another day, I was able to see only one contact in my contact list, as well as calender activities up to one month before loosing the phone.
As sync was activated also with my outlook, I have there an empty database as well.
Mails are also missing, from all the servers (even if for one of them IMAP was the setting), also for the last month.
Please HELP me get all the info back. Thanks.

An iCloud account doesn't store multiple copies of a single note,
This can appear to happen if you are saving them to multiple locations
Notes can be saved to
       Email accounts
       iCloud
       iPhone or device
You most likely lost access to one of the sources of Notes.
Make sure that each of the accounts that can use notes has them turned on.

My hard drive crashed with no backup. How can I get the data from iCloud onto my Mac?

My hard drive went bad and needed to be replaced and I've lost everything that was on it (no backup - I know, I know...). Fortunately much of my data was backed up either on icloud or my ipad but I haven't been able to find any information about restoring it FROM icloud or ipad TO my Mac, only about how to restore to an ios device. I guess what I meant to say was that I can log on to icloud to see my contacts, calendars, etc but is there a way to get that data onto my computer? In other words, how do I associate my new hard drive with my icloud account? I am probably not phrasing this properly - sorry. How can i manage old data on my file server that as not been used for over 2 years?

I have 4 file servers and more then 50% of the data is older then 2 years
I would like to move that data to another san, slower but i would like the user to have access by shortcut on there share
Would make it faster to backup because the drive would be 50% less big and would not affect users because they would see the same thing in there share it would just be a little lomnger to open file upon need.

How can I restore my data from iCloud to my iPad?

Hi - I have noticed that all my calendar entries from January 2012 to the end of June have disappeared - I was advised by Apple to restore my data from the iCloud, where it is backed up - but this doesn't seem to have resolved the problem - please can anyone help?

When you restore from an iCloud backup, you have to erase the device first, then set up the iPad again using the iCloud backup. If you tried this and the entries did not download to the iPad - they are gone. They should be in the backup - but if they were not restored, then they apparently are gone.
If you still have access to a computer go to your icloud.com account using a web browser and look in the calendar to see if the entries are in there.

I'm sorry to hear about your phone! I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

Restore from the iCloud backup - assuming that you were backing up to iCloud in the first place. If you weren't using iCloud for backup - then you are out of luck.
If you were backing up to iCloud - you have to erase all contents on the iPad in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings - before you can restore from the iCloud backup.

Data still in mical, but was deleted via icloud in ical. How can i save my data?

still in 5.1.1, and I had general data in ical saved on my iphone but not in the icloud (which was a mistake, I didn´t notice). As I syncronised the ical data with the icloud, these general data were deleted. I guess they are still in mical, which I use, but I don´t want to open mical as it would immedeately syncronise with ical and the general data would be lost forever. Does anyone have a solution for the problem? How can I retrieve my data?

I guess, I really don't understand iCloud and how files are stored and where. I gather when I was asked to set it up I should have declined. Anyway, it looks like some of my files are stored in the cloud. If I shut off "documents" in the preferences it will remove those docs from my macbook, but they will remain in the cloud and I could get access to them for another computer if I set it up.
I also gather to avoid this, I have to, on a file by file basis, save them to my mac and then they will be on my mac. What I don't get, is that these files must exist on my mac because I can edit it without being connected to the internet. Maybe those files I see when disconnected from the internet are on my mac and I wouldn't be able to see cloud files unless I was connected to the internet.
My concern is that when I deselect "documents" in the iCloud preferences it warns me that those documents on my mac will be removed from my mac. I am afraid to deselect "documents' or "calendars" as a result.
If I seem confused, I am. Please don't feel obligated to reply if my message is too muddled.

If you mean backed up in your iCloud backup, you can delete the backup by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, touch your backup and tap Delete Backup, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.
If you mean data synced to your iCloud account like contacts and calendars, you can either delete if from your device or go to icloud.com on your computer and delete it there.
