How can I manually move photos off of my iPhone 5S to an external drive connected to my MacBook Pro?
My iPhone does not show up as a device on finder. My 4S did. So how do I force move photos from the 5S to an external device? I do not see an option for this on the NEW iTunes .
Import the photos to you computer. Copy them to external drive.

You can't, if the photos are in photostream you need a compatible device, if they are in a backup, you can only use the backup to restore to a new device. -

Great question! The answer is going to depend on how the photos were originally organized:
A) The albums were synced to your iPhone from iTunes
B) The albums were manually created on your iPhone from photos in the Camera Roll

you can also plug the device into your computer with itunes, go to the photos tab at the top center and uncheck where it says 'sync photos.' then press 'apply' in the bottom right corner. this will erase the photos that were synced to your phone from the computer -

How can I get my photos off my iPhone 3 eventhough I don't have a sim card any longer?
I have an old iphone (pre iphone 4) and moved to Sweden. I want to get my photos off the phone, but no longer have any Sim card of any kind. Is there any kind of workflow or solution I can try to get them to my MacBook Pro? (My itunes says it can't read the phone without a sim). Any help would be much appreciated!!! Even if I could use my wi-fi to access the device? or blue-tooth??
I know the photos are on the phone, I can see all 915 of them. Itunes can now see the phone, but I'm afraid to update or sync with the phone as I believe it will delete the photos off my phone. I used to be able to get the photos off using Image capture, but Image capture no longer see my phone in the device list. That was my problem before I moved to sweden and chucked the sim. I used to mail the pictures to myself, but now that obviously doesn't work. I have image capture 6.1 and read on wikipedia there is a 6.2 but I can not for the life of me find it anywhere. Isn't there some app that should be able to transfer the photos over? I have iphoto and aperture, but they don't see the device either (using OS 10.6.8 on my macbook pro btw). These pictures are of my daughter, I just can't bear not getting my hands on them. Help!

I have a photo library on my iphone which was synced to the iphone from my pc. Now I have a mac laptop and I cannot figure out how to get the photo library onto my mac from the phone. The photo stream has transferred over but none of my other albums.
If the photos are in your Camera Roll on the iPhone connect the iPhone to your Mac, launch iPhoto and import directly into your library on the Mac.

How can I upload from photo library in my iPhone
I recently added pictures from my mac (iphoto) back on my phone (after getting a new phone etc.) Now I have pictures in camera roll album, which I understand are the pics I am taking with the phone, then I have photos in the photo library which are photos I imported back from iphoto.
What I don't understand and need help with is that photos that are in the photo library on my iphone I am not able to upload in say..facebook or instagram.
Is there a setting I need to turn on? It only gives me an option to choose pictures to upload from the camera roll but not any other folder. HELP!!

I had my hard drive crash on the computer that my Iphone 4s was backed up to. I bought a new Iphone 5 and computer and I want the songs on my Iphone 4s on my iphone 5. My library is empty but my old phone still has all my songs. How can I get them? Would iMatch return all of my songs?

PhilippGo into your camera roll and create an album and then select the pictures you want in the album. Note you will have the same pics in your album and camera roll.

How can I find out the serial number for my FCE 4.0 that came with my old MacBook Pro?
When I try and open my old FCE projects on my new MacBook Pro, a dialog box pops up and asks me to input the serial number for my Final Cut Express program. The software came pre-loaded on my old MacBook Pro which died. Luckily, my local Apple store was able to transfer the fcp files to my new MacBook Pro, which came with FCP X installed. I just can't open those files without the serial number of the FCE 4.0 program.
Message was edited by: Garyb1978It is almost impossible to transfer FCE as there are so many essential hidden files that workers in an Apple Store will know nothing about. The app needs to be installed from the original DVD.
Other than buying another copy your only chance (very remote) is to contact the Apple Store and see if they are able to get a replacement number from Apple.
