How can I "mark" changes I have made?
Hello!
At the end of a project, I like to go in and make minute changes. My documents are usually over 1,000 pages each.
Is there a way to "flag" or "mark" or otherwise indicate to myself, "Hey, don't forget you make minute changes to the kerning on this page..." ??
Just a tiny suggestion.
If all you ever do is change the kerning or tracking, there's a setting in Preferences > Composition that allows you to highlight custom tracking and kerning.
The highlight is a tasteful green/blue that is easy to see.

I have an irritating problem with mail autofilling info in email addresses. Emails sent to me the from looks like this: Holiday in the United States <my email address>. I have no idea what this Holiday in the United States is or how it got to be there...How can I fix/change to my name?
I fixed the To: autofilling incorrectly by deleting my email address from the Previous Recipients List, but is there a way to stop that from coming up on emails that I receive?Have you checked your Mac address book? If your email is saved somewhere in your address book with the name "Holidays in the United States" it might be adding the name automatically in Mac Mail.
Alternatively, try this:
Delete an Email Address from Auto-Complete in Mac OS X Mail
To remove an email address from the auto-complete list in Mac OS X Mail:
Start typing the recipient's address or name in a new message.
Select the desired address from the auto-complete list as if you'd compose an email to them.
Click the small down arrow in the recipient.
Select Remove from Previous Recipients List from the menu.
You can also search for the unwanted address directly in the previous recipients list:
Select Window | Previous Recipients from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
Highlight the address you want to remove.You can highlight multiple addresses by holding down the Command key.
Click Remove from List.

It was never tested on anything later than Tiger and running anything under Rosetta is a crapshoot as well.
Be aware that when CS6 ships sometime this spring (no official announcement yet, but all hints from Adobe point to a second quarter ship date) you will be completely out of the upgrade loop and will have to buy a full priced license for CS6 or move to Creative Cloud. There are some pretty good deals out there on CS5.5 upgrades.

When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.

Since 2012 I have Photoshop Elements always worked without any problem, however now the language is suddenly German how can this be changed, removed the program and re-installed, not working. Program is downloaded and updated via the apple app store?
I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html

when i go out of detail1 and detail2 blocks after doing some modifications it asks me "Do you want to save the changes you have made"?
i want to avoid this message as well as my changes should be posted in the database. what is the solution for this big pblm?hi
may be you are trying to modify the database item or reassigning the database item value which is not actually needed.
try to comment the reassigning database values
and give clear_form(do_commit);
most probably u will not get the message again

I have been posting a handful of questions within the DreamweaverCC forum.
I notice that there indications that 5 people have marked the replies as 'helpful'.
How can I mark some of the responses to my posts as helpful ?
I am unable to do this.
Under my 'Actions' button it says "no actions available".
I also do not have the ability to edit my own posts.
For instance, I have resolved one of the problems and I would like to clean up my own post eliminating the 'noise' and leaving the relevant.
This is for the sake of others. I have noticed that one of my posts has 200+ views. I do not want to waste people's time.
During the first week of may, the Adobe FORUMS had a message for a couple of days that they were doing a major overhaul of the Forum.

Besides changing the LabVIEW.ini, is there another method to achieve?I was about to post a new one on this old thing but came across this when running the exe file from a vi with a blinking and back/foreground color property. In the vi mode everything worked properly as intended with the properties (different color and transparent other than the manual setting under the options->color), including changing the the color under options menu. But the exe file made the BG/FG color to red and yellow while blinking. I came across this topic a long time ago but never used the blinking indicators in the .exe files. NI or someone else has said this is a bug or the default in .exe running environment, please confirm this so I do not have to play around with this.
Also attached is the .ini file from the .exe file and how I add a BG/FG color line to get it working like blue when visible and transparent when not?

How can I mark an email as SPAM without "opening" it?
When I go to "the cloud" to read my email, I might see spam there.
But when I click on the email message to mark it as spam or even
delete it, I've "opened" the email. I don't want to do that, right!!!

spam -- something I almost never got with me.com. just fyi...]You need to have the account set up as IMAP or Exchange (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. automatically do this if you choose that option when you create the account). POP3 accounts do not supporting synchronizing between clients and the server.

using bootcamp, was installing windows xp, at the select ntfs or fat format mistakenly selected "leave the current file system intact." How can that be changed to a correct choice. Mac side opens correctly. Windows shows disk error. and doesn't respond to press any key. When looking in the startup disk section, windows on boot camp can be seen, but not selected. (13"MacBook Pro 10.6.8)
