How can I merge two iTunes folder, one with music and the other without?

Two years ago Apple support suggested moving my iTunes folder out of my Home folder to the HD level in order to share it across users. This is no longer necessary. How do I move my music back to my Home folder since now I have an Itunes folder at the HD level (along with application, library, system, users folders) and an Itunes folder under Music in my Home folder. For example both those itunes folders have a mobile application, album artwork, and previous itunes library subfolder as well as itunes library extras.itdb and itunes library genius.itdb. How do I merge them or which ones do I delete? The files in the mobile app folder in my Home folder have a newer "last modified" date. Currenty under Itunes-->Preferences-->Advanced, it says Itunes media location is /itunes/itunes media/ music. I assumes that is the HD level folder. What happens if I hit reset?
I am using Itunes 10.6.3.

If you are willing to continue helping, here's what I found.
Just to clarify the two iTunes folders I am refering to are:
username-->Music-->iTunes
HD-->iTunes
I am presuming each location has a full set of files as outlined in the above links?
Not all the files are in both locations. Most are.
- The Itunes folder in my home folder does not have itunes library.xml.
- The Itunes folder in my home folder has a subfolder called Mobile Applications (username-->Music-->iTunes--> Mobile application). The Itunes folder at the HD level also has a Mobile Application folder but it is a subfolder of Itunes Media folder (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media-->Mobile applications) and has no files in it.
- I do not have an iTunes Media in the iTunes folder in my home folder.
- also the Itunes media folder (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media) has subfolders by type (books, movies, itunes u, music etc...) but the iTunes Media-->Music also has some of the same subfolders ( iTunes Media-->Music-->books, iTunes Media-->Music-->Movies, iTunes Media-->Music-->iTunes U). Is this normal repetition?

but it is important to note what comes before all that.
There is nothing as far as I can tell before that first forward slash. Since the only iTunes Media folder I have is in the iTunes folder that resides at the HD level (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media folder) not the iTunes folder in my home folder (username-->Music-->iTunes) , I assume that's the one that holds the music.
Keep iTunes media folder organized and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are both checked on
Does that give more clarity into my problem?

Unfortunately, in your case, there isn't really a way to separate them as far as I can think.
You could try restoring from a backup, and choosing an older backup perhaps

Sorry - you can't. You can keep the music from each iTunes account in the same library, but the purchased items will always be "owned" by the iTunes ID under which they are purchased.
My husband and I both purchase music and other stuff on his Mac in iTunes under our own iTunes IDs. Both IDs are authorized to the Mac, and everything is housed in one iTunes library. I can download his music, and he can download mine.
However, if, say, some of the music was removed from the library and we wanted to get it back in there, we would each individually have to go to our Purchased list to download the items that we purchased in order to get them all back into the library.

I used Migration Assistant to import my music library from an old dell to my new MacBook Pro, however 2 profiles were created and now half my music is on one profile and the rest on the other and neither profile can access the music on the other. Please Help

This is indeed an excellent question. I am looking for what seems to be the exact same solution. I have two libraries, where the ratings, checks, and play counts are included in the itunes xml library files. I have found that using synchronization software only compares documents and replaces one with the other. If I modify one computer (in terms of collections, ratings, or play counts), and then don't synchronize before modifying the other computer, then my libraries do not match.
If there were a quick solution to compare and merge libraries, then I would not have to re-synchronize libraries each time I switch computers (assuming I'm not adding/changing mp3 file structure).
I suppose there could be a very long-winded applescript to do this, but I'm not familiar with scripting, nor interested. Any help?

How can I have two Apple IDs (one from Canada and one from the UK) for the same device?

I originally bought an iPhone in Canada and had my first Apple ID while there. I still want to have this account, as there are some Canadian apps that I wish to have and keep updating. However, I am now living in the UK - yet when I try to search for apps that all of my friends have I can't find them because they are particular to Britain. Do I need an new Apple ID for the UK, and is it possible to have both Apple IDs feeding into the same iTunes account?

If you want to move your iCloud account to another existing ID you'll have to delete the existing account, set up a new account with the other ID, then upload your data to the new account. To do this, begin by going to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is turned off you can scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up the new account with your other ID and turn syncing for calendars, contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new account. Note: this will not migrate your photo stream photos. You will need to save these prior to deleting the existing account.

I am currently trying to debug a system that used to work.. but sadly isnt anymore
A single computer contains 2 PCI cards (6110 & 6036E). The 6110 card is controlled by a fairly old software, programmed in labview, and hence, using Traditional NI-DAQ. The 6036e card is controlled by a more recent soft, programmed in LV as well but using DAQmx.
the AI/AO of the 6110 card is only momentarily used (20 sec consecutively, every minute) while the 6036E card is continuously receiving and sending data on its AI/AO.
Now the problem: the program that control the 6036E card freezes every time that the old prog access the 6110 card.. and then it works again perfectly until the next time that the 6110 card is used.
So my question: how can I make those 2 cards work simultaneously?
I dont think that it is because of the software nor because of the computer lack of memory/CPU if it used to work in the past. It might be about a wrong configuration of cards in the MAX but I couldnt find anything wrong there (no problem when accessing AI/AO of both cards through "test panel")

That's what bugs me. The only thing that those 2 cards share is an AO of the 6110 connected to an AI of the 6036.
For the rest, nothing is common. The 1st program only deal with device1, while the 2nd prog only access dev2. There shouldnt be any problem and everything is working fine separately. Hence, why I was wondering if the traditional daq and daqmx might conflict on a same computer.
I just cant find out why the 2nd program controling the daqmx card just freeze everytime the 1st program access the traditional card. It actually doesnt freeze completly but becomes soooo slow, with about only 2 iterations of the main while loop during those 15-20 sec (instead of the normal 3-4000 iterations during such a period).
The computer specs are a 2.2ghz proc for 1G of ram and running XP, so it should be ok.. even though the computer does slow a bit down when the 1st prog access the traditional card.

My father uses a BEFW11S4 router with firewall for his home office. It uses a Dynamic IP. I have my computer up stairs and the internet conenction is set up through the router via wired connection. The problem that I have is that in order for several of my online games to work, (Final Fantasy XI and the Playstation 3 network) I need to add Port codes to the router to gain access to the online features in the games. To add the port codes to the router, I need to change to a Static IP.
My father does not want to change to a Static IP and so I am unable to connect to the online services that the games provide.
Is it possible to connect another Router to the same internet connection? This one would be a static IP.

Ok well My father's computer is wired and so is mine. My ps3 is wireless. My father needs the dynamic IP on his computer or he will not be able to use the things needed for his work. I need the router to be Static so that I can play the games. So What you are saying is that I can still use 1 router and have both dynamic and Static IP set up at the same time of the one internet connection?

Items purchased from the iTunes Store are permanently associated with the account from which they were originally purchased. Apple provides no way to change this.
However, if you wish to put content from two accounts into a single iTunes library, you can easily do so. Use the command File > Add File (or Folder) to Library.

I imported a CD that I had burned previously with the 2 tracks of sound effects that I had downloaded from the internet (MP3 files), but I did not see an option to join the tracks when I imported the CD. In the upper right corner there were three buttons: Options, CD Info, and Import CD. When I click on Options, the drop-down menu has two choices: "Get Track Names" and "Submit CD Track Names". I cannot find an option to Join Tracks. Help!
