How can i mimic the look of some other movies?

Hello, i enjoy using Color to try and mimim how some movies look. I know how to make things look like Minority Report but i was wondering about other movies that may have a cool look to them. Is there a site that may have a lot of them or do any of you know any ideas off the bat? Thanks!

The lines are definitely blurred now, even more so than in the past ten years. People who do not do this on a day in day out basis cannot know what is possible, impossible, practical or somewhere in between. A creative producer brought me some 16mm film (a little more than 10 years ago) and stated that the look he was going for was reminiscent of Degas' "Boater's Party", Oil on canvas, 1880.
"Sure", I said, I'll just slap on the "Degas" filter -- which is not the "DeGauss" button, by the way.
... I don't think I'll finish this anecdote, to protect the guilty.
Photoshop types are used to layering up these kinds of treatments and some day we might be able to, too. (And finish the job within the same fiscal year!)

Its frustrating. I also have this problem with Dropbox, a great service but they dont have a 'delete cache' button. Dropbox told me to log out and back in again but nothing. If i delete the Dropbox app (And Facebook app and Twitter) and then re-install its back to its original size
If you go into settings/general/usage and see all the apps, press the app for Twitter (Or Facebook) and you'll see how much extra the app is keeping under 'Documents & Data'
Delete those apps and re-install and the documents and data will be 0 and the app back to normal.
Its frustrating as some of these apps can get huge, after viewing a video my facebook app went up to 450 meg ! Same for twitter. I tend to use 'Twiterrific' as the app size doesnt get silly unlike the official Twitter app

Unless you did it in pse7 or pse 8, then you really can't change the interface colors in pse 9 or pse 10.
The only color you can easily change in the interface of the editor is the padding color around the document by right clicking outside the document bounds.

You can share it with other Macs under your control (not your neighbor's). You just need to be logged in under the buying AppleID for updates or to download again.

To William Lloyds recommendation I have to add the following: I tried to implement the suggestion and thus to have the Mobileme-account closed to avoid the lenghty process mentioned, however, I am given to understand that if one choose to have the account closed, ALL of the galleries/albums etc, so far hosted within Mobileme will ALSO be deleted within APERTURE!! How can I change the look of URL Icons?

I have created several web site URL shortcuts and put them in my Dock (actually I just drug the web site URL's to my Dock, Apple crated the ability for me to do so). I have a iMac desktop, with OS X Mavericks 10.9.1.
My question is: Is there any way to change the look of the icons for the URLs that I have in my dock? (so far I have 5). They all look the same, an @ sign on top of a pedestal with a spring. I would like to at least change the face of the icon, the @ sign, to a picture of my choosing that would enable me to tell the difference of each one at a glance rather than having to slide my mouse pointer over each one to get the name of the web site to pop up.
Below is a picture of three of the icons on my dock. As you can see they all look the same, almost like the "Contacts" icon which is an @ sign on a book cover.

Your post helped me a lot. After all of the dust cleared and after sorting through all of the answers, the post(s) that solved my problem were from Kenichi Watanabe. However, I did have to go through all of Kenichi's posts to get the complete method that worked. Some of the other posts were difficult for me to comprehend and did not seem to work for me. I probably didn't do them like the writer's intended? Again thanks for taking the time to read my question and dig through your memory bank to come up with the thread that helped.

How can I change the look so it doesn't look like java? pictures included.

Hello everyone.
I made this JPanel in netbeans, and I clicked preview, and it looked very nice. I then copied and pasted that code into Eclipse IDE and ran it. When I ran it, everything lined up the same but it didn't look as good, it looked like Java (not saying I don't like Java but I would like to make it have a different look.)
Is there a way to make it look like it did in the NetBeans preview?

Any ideas how I can make take over the theme of the Operating system? (So if its windows, it looks like windows).

How can I choose the target image in Magic Move?

Hello,
I'm trying to use Magic Move to transition between slides. There are multiple shapes that are the same size and color on the target slide. Is there a way to control what the "target" shape is in Keynote?
Here's what I mean (please pardon my corniness):
Could I make it so that this image "shrinks" into the box on the far right ("Already")?
Right now, it's defaulting to the third box from the left each time.

Thank you for providing the details of what you are trying to do with Magic Move in Keynote. I found a couple of resources that I think might help.
To use Magic Move, you set a target location by moving the original object to a new location or changing the size on the following slide. I found an article with some tips on how to set this up:
The Magic Move transition uses graphics and text that appear both on the current slide and the following slide. During the transition, the objects are moved into their new position and size on the following slide. This transition only works when you use an identical image, shape, or text box in a different location or with a different size on the next slide. Magic Move doesn’t work with tables, charts, or movies.
For best results with a Magic Move transition, duplicate the slide and apply the Magic Move transition between the original and the duplicate.
To set up a Magic Move transition:
Create a slide and place the objects (text, shapes, images) where you want them.
Select the slide in the Slide Navigator and press Command-D to duplicate the slide.
On the copy of the slide, reposition and resize some or all of the text, shapes, and images on the slide.
Add any additional text or graphics you want to add to the copied slide, and delete any objects you don’t want on it.
Select the first slide of the pair and apply the Magic Move transition. For detailed instructions on how to add a transition between slides, see Adding Transitions Between Slides.

How can I read the raw data by other program?

How can I use other program (such as C, MATLAB) to read the raw data acquired by biobench (*.bb)? Since the export function of biobench 1.0 is not convinient, I hope that I can read the data directly by decompressing the *.bb file. In other words, can one tells me the format of *.bb file?

For example:
I have installed this suite in drive C: and all the scripts are saved with in it..But i want to save the script in other drive whereas E: drive ...........
How can i do.....

hi
you can store the scripts in one of the workspace available in OATS.
you wont get a chance to create the work space in other drive then in which OATS is installed.
but if you need to make a back up of scripts then simply copy and paste it wherever you want them,and whenever you need to run the script then copy it and paste to one of the workspace of OATS.
