How can I modify supplied WP template & keep the changeable fields eg date

Sorry couldn't find any details on this. If I use one of the supplied 'letter' templates - it includes a date field which is created when I create document. If I modify the rest of this template and then save it as a template - I lose this automatic date insertion facility.
Also is there a method of automatically inserting the document name into the 'insert filename' field when the file is saved?
Has anybody written a guide on advanced template design?

It seems that the OP is facing a behaviour which was described several times.
In some Apple delivered templates, is a date field which grabs the current date when we create a new document.
This date remains as is whe we re-open the saved document some days after.
If we create a template, we may insert a date and ask it to update when re-opening the document.
If we save such a document as a template, it will apply the creation setting so, when we use it to create a document the date of this new document will continue to change on opening which is annoying.
Getting the behaviour of the Apple delivered template requires a bit of surgery in the Index.xml file of the custom template.
This trick was described several times in a Pages forum.
A quick search with the keystring *_template AND date AND index.xml_* brought the dedicated messages to the surface (of course I enlarged the time range to search to All).

We would like to open an Excel template which is stored in the BPC 7.0 MS server.
We could do that by using EVMNU("OPENFILE", "Open", "Input Schedules/HQ/H01 Currency Input.xlt")
in OutlookSoft 4.2 environment, but we cannot do the same thing in BPC 7.0 MS SP7 environment.
In BPC 7.0 MS, we can open the Excel template on the client PC only...

Are you trying to open the template from a custom menu?
You can open the templates on the server from the client system by going to data input and selecting "open an existing schedule". This will list you the templates available on the server.
However, for the general purpoe, you can use the following MNU commands
MNU_eTOOLS_OPENSTANDARD: opens the report template library
MNU_eSUBMIT_OPENSTANDARD: opens the input schedule library
MNU_eSUBMIT_OPENMY: opens my schedule folder

When I export the video and import it again, it changes the date to the date of today. It doesn't happen with the photos, only with videos.
I changed the dates of a lot of videos and then re-imported them again, I realised I lost all my work of editing.

You can only modify the File Created date with a 3rd party application after you export it to the Desktop. Video files do not have EXIF field that image files do so can't be modified by iPhoto or Photos. What I do is rename the file with the date created and a brief description like: 2005-01-08-LaHanbraSpain.mov
You can do that with one of the Automator/Applescripits that léonie has posted in the User Tips section:Photos for Mac

Then export the original out with the option File Name = Title

I have developed a Web Dynpro Application that calls a FM.
Values are written into the database (I use a standard FM for that).
After that, values a read from the database to be show in the Web Dynpro Application again (Again, using a standard FM).
However, the data is not being updated, that is, the data delivered by the function module is not the updated, new data, but the old data.
If I select the data using simple select statements, ist is provided correctly (new data). That means the database already has the correct data, but the FM uses some sort of buffer which does not seem to be up to date at this point in time...
How can I tell the FM to update is buffers before being acually executed?
The function module in question is called HRIQ_ACAD_READ_TIMELIMITS, but I don't think this information is required to answer my question.

aye, thats ecaxtly what i meant.
Displaying the data in a new process. i know this is not what you finally want, but if the data is correct in your new process we might get better ideas what is causing your buffer problems.
BTW is your system scaled? do you have more than one application server and may this be a synchronisation error?

We have the same requirement. We want to do some format changes to "Generic FSG Drill Template" (GENERICFSGDRILL_en.xsl). I am able to do few changes. But when we run the report, we are able to see PDF, html output. But 'Excel' output comes with blank data. Can you help on this. How were you able to do the changes.

One way to delete a book is to select it, choose Edit from the menu and Delete.

How can i get popup blocker to keep the allowed sites that i add?

Here where I work, we have a site that opens in a popup window. I have added it to the popup exceptions list, but after a day or so, that site disappears from that allowed site list. Not sure what keeps going on. It's been doing this for a while, even on previous versions. The browser is on the most current version, 33.0, just FYI.

Can you find a pattern to the disappearance? For example:
# Every time you exit Firefox it is cleared?
# Every time to shut down and restart Windows it is cleared?
# It is cleared on a schedule?
For #1, make sure Firefox is not set to clear too much history at shutdown.
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
If you have "Firefox will: Remember history" then there shouldn't be a problem. If you have "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" then make sure "Clear history when Firefox closes" is NOT checked, or if it is checked, click the Settings button and make sure that Site Preferences are NOT set to be cleared.
For #2 and #3, utility, privacy and system cleaning software sometimes clean up browser settings beyond just clearing cookies. You may need to check their settings if you have one or more of these programs.

How Can I Modify an Existing Schedule using the WS-SDK?

I'm trying to modify the scheduling info of a pre-existing schedule. I've got the schedule details from the database and modifying them, and then called BIPlatform.Schedule with the modified infoObject. However what it does is create a new schedule with the new schedule details, leaving the old one unchanged. Is it possible to modify the old instance, or do I need to delete the old instance andjust create a new one?

If it is in Pages '09, be prepared to to lose features and formatting by converting it to Pages 5 format.
Do you have Pages '09? If so why not continue to use it, there is nothing to be gained by downgrading to Pages 5.

Back up all data before proceeding. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility window, select the icon of the startup volume from the list on the left. It will be nested below another disk icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar. When prompted, enter the login password of a user authorized to unlock the volume, or the alternate decryption key that was generated when you activated FileVault.
Then, from the menu bar, select
File ▹ Turn Off Encryption
Enter the password again.
You can then restart as usual, if the system is working. Decryption will be completed in the background. It may take several hours, and during that time performance will be reduced.
If you can't turn off encryption in Disk Utility because the menu item is grayed out, you'll have to erase the volume and then restore the data from a backup. Select the Erase tab, and then select
Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
from the Format menu.
You can then quit to be returned to the main Recovery screen. Follow these instructions if you back up with Time Machine. If you use other backup software, follow its developer's instructions.
Don't erase the volume unless you have at least two complete, independent backups. One is not enough to be safe.

I'd have to say I think this is one of the biggest flaws in the OnDemand system currently. The solution I have come up with is to create reports and put them in webapplets showing the data I want to show. I have then removed the standard Related Info List Objects and added weblinks to create new records as the button on the List object is also gone.
Keep in mind that doing this does slow things down a little, so it may not work if you have a big user base.
