How can i mount an OS9 volume under os 10.4.11?

I have an old OS9 volume that contains a lot of video footage that I would like to save on my current OS 10.4.11 volume but I can't seem to mount that drive. The drive is seen under Disk Utility but when I verify it it says it needs to be repaired. If I try to repair it I get several error messages as seen in this screen shoot:

If I remember right, i never installed the OS9 drivers when I originally formatted my current OSX drive. Would that have made a difference? Is that what this option is about? being able to mount OS9 volumes on your OSX desktop? What are my options now?

Nope, not related at all.
Somehow the OS9 disk has become damaged, You must repair the HD, your best bets are DiskWarrior from Alsoft...

If it should fail to repair it then Data Rescue II...

This last one would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to, or plenty of space on your OSX volume.

In iTunes(on a Mac or PC) just tap on 'Albums' rather than 'Artists' and you'll see them all together.
You may find that there are songs mislabelled. In which case right tap on the Album or Artist and tap 'Get Info', then change to the correct name and the songs will join the rest of the songs for that Artist or Album.

Only Pages, Preview, Pages for iCloud beta, and Pages v2 or later on IOS 7 can open native Pages v5.2.2 (.pages) documents. Sending a Pages v5.2.2 document to someone without Pages v5.2.2 is futile.
If you are using Gmail or Dropbox, you will need to right-click on that Pages document, and then choose compress from the contextual menu. You can then attach filename.pages.zip, because it appears as a single document, and not a folder.

Which "volume limit" do you mean?
All iPods have a volume limit feature that you can set yourself and on your iPod, go into Settings/Music/Volume Limit. There, you can set the volume limit to maximum, which is the same as turning it off.
However, if you mean the EU (European Union) volume restriction, on all iPods sold inside the EU, you cannot turn that off.

I couldn't say, as I let Mac OS X do what it wants with the / root directory. I don't know how sticky can hurt, as you need to have elavated privs to do anything in root anyway.
But if it is working for you, have fun. Just make a note to yourself somewhere that you have made this change, so that if something stops working, you can take this change into consideration. And if this change does not cause problems, but does something useful for you, you can use the note to remind yourself that you need to re-make the change when installing a new system. So take notes on your changes. It will make your life easier in the future.

1. In case on this device was created just one slice on whole disk:
lofiadm -a <path_to_mage>
mount /dev/lofi/1 /mnt
2. In case was created more than 1 slices. You can use dd for copy every separeted slice to separete file
and create many lofi-devices.
dd if=<image> of=<slice_image> skip=<start cyl for this slice> count=<cyl_num> bs=<cyl_size>
In case you don't know original partition table for this disk, you can read
/usr/include/sys/vtoc.h
and try get reguired information with od

How can I mount / fix my Windows 7 partition?

So a while ago my Win 7 partition was "unmounted" and it wouldnt show up in my Finder. When I tried mounting it in Disk Utility it would never work. I would click Mount, and it would't do anything. I wasn't really bothered by it since the partition would still show up when I booted and held 'alt'. I could boot Windows fine.
I was experiencing some problems with my Mac so I figured I'd reinstall the OS. After I did however, the Win 7 partition didnt show up in the 'alt' boot menu. In Disk Utility, the partition still exists, and I still can't mount it. I honestly have no clue what to do, other than to start over again. I REALLY dont want to do that, becuase I have a lot of data on my Win partition.
So im asking how the flip do i fix this...
Any help is, obviously, very apprechiated.

I think you missed my point. Something you've already done has resulted in corruption of the boot loader or boot block making it impossible for you to now boot from your Windows system via your original Boot Camp installation. Reformatting the Windows partition will just remove everything already installed on it, so that would not sound like a good solution for you.
It may be possible to recover the Windows volume using CampTune, but I don't know that myself. I've not used it. The other possibility is to install a new boot loader:

How can I mount a CD Drive in Single User?

I need to run single user mode on my iMac because of a disk problem. I would like to be able to mount the cd drive while I am in single user mode. I would also like to be able to mount usb hard drives with confidence, so that I can copy off files from the internal hard drive.
I am in single user mode, which I get to by holding down Command-S on startup. I can look at the disks that are attached to my computer by executing
ls -l /dev/disk*
However this appears to be adding disks. I started with /dev/disk2 and /dev/disk2s1 etc which I understand are partitions on that external drive. Now when I list /dev/disk* I have /dev/disk3 and a couple of partitions on those devs. Is that normal? Have I not unmounted disks properly?
I have been using a directory that already exists as the mount point for my usb drives using
mount -t hfs /dev/disk1 /cores
which worked fine. Alas the disk I mounted on that directory was too small. Now I can't mount a disk on there. Do I need to unmount or fix up that assignment?
If I were to create a directory in /Volumes is that advisable? How do I make the root directory readable is that by using 'mount -uw'?

I think you need to post this in a different forum. I think the Developer Forums would be the right choice.
In any event from the little Unix I know you can't mount a removable device until it's connected which means you need to put a CD/DVD into the optical drive. At that point if you enter 'df' you should see the device if it is mounted automatically (which I believe it does.)
In single-user mode the entire drive is readable and all files accessible. You are the 'root' user. In order to put the system into write mode you must enter 'mount -uw /'. Note the '/' at the end of the comnmand line. That makes the entire system writeable.
You do not need to create a directory in /Volumes. When the CD/DVD is recognized an entry in /Volumes will appear unless the disc is unformatted.
Now take some of the above with a grain of salt. I'm certainly no Unix expert.

If you think VirtualBox is technical I think you are in even more trouble.
Boot Camp - Windows on Mac / running Windows natively - is much clearer and cleaner
If the othr drives are formatted as NTFS and external you may need Paragon NTFS to see them in OS X or if they are HFS formatted then the only way to mount and see, and to read/WRITE would be MacDrive for Windows.
VB will not link to a native Windows OS but is easy to use and can use Windows 8 Preview.

duplicated on my husbands iMac. On his computer, under Calendar accounts, I had included iCloud and also my iCloud ID. I thought that because I had two accounts listed that were connected to iCloud, that might be the cause of the duplication. When I deleted ithe calendars from one of the accounts, it resulted
in deleting all of the events on all of our network devices!
I have since entered some new events into Calendar from my iMac and from my iPhone. These appear correctly on all devices except my husband's iMac where they are again all duplicated.
I have two questions: 1) How can I eliminate the duplicated events on my husband's computer and 2) How do I retrieve the old wiped out Calendar events from
Time Capsule. I don't know how to find Calendar in the Time Capsule. If I find the Calendar information in Time Capsule, how do I transfer it to my current Calendars?
I was obtaining phone help from one of the Apple techs at Apple Support, but our call was disconnected part way through. Didn't know how to reconnect with the tech.
