How can I move mail from the offline folder inbox to a local folder?

I have an IMAP account and my provider lost all but the last week of my emails. I still have them in the offline folder in Thunderbird so as long as I stay offline I can see the emails but I want to move them to local folders so I can go back online and sync the account without losing them all. How can I do this?

She can choose to either enable the setting on her iPod to Manually manage music and videos. With setting enabled she can sync content to her iPod from multiple computers without it affecting whats already stored her iPod. --> If all you want to do is keep your history, make a local folder on your mac and drag all the mail messages there (both se4nt and incoming). I am not sure what will happen if you later drag those into the new Xmail account

In the 'new message' window click the three line option button to 'Customize…' the window.
Enable the 'From field' & click OK to save the new field settings. If these accounts are setup in Mail you can now select them when replying or sending new mail.
Also check the 'Mail > Composing tab' preferences. There is an option to 'Send from selected mailbox' that may help if Mail is setup with all of the relevant email accounts.
Otherwise you may need to log in to gmail on the web & reply from there. Apple Mail cannot understand how gmail & forwarding from other accounts is setup so it cannot try to reply from another account that isn't setup on the Mac.

Do you want to copy some pictures to the external drive, or do you want to move your whole iPhoto library? The latter will free up hard drive space on your start up disk; the procedure is explained here:

Note this is not the same as a Time Machine backup.
If on the other hand you want to copy some photos from one drive to another, you can just drag and drop them from one location to another. This is a true copy, the originals will remain intact.

You could do it by setting up a Shared Photo Stream. Select the photos in the Photo app then tap the Shared button selecting Photo Stream. Just don't enter any email address and it will appear on your other devices. Only photos can be added and not albums so you will have to re-organize then on the iPhone.
I would recommend getting the photos to the computer as well though. Create a photo library on the computer and sync then over to the iphone with iTunes. The photo library on the computer can be added to a more reliable backup.

I have setup icloud in my Iphone 6 running 8.1.2. and it is logged in by enabling Contacts in icloud settings. My contact list contains 1718 Contacts. I manually backed up my data into icloud including my contacts without Passbook & Documents data. But when i logged into iCloud.com to see the contacts it is not there.
I also find when i checked only the Icloud contacts "there are no contacts showing in my contact list". I think this is the reason why there is no contacts in icloud web too. Then how can i move contacts from other accounts (eg: gmail,hotmail etc) to icloud.

I assume you're using GMail as your primary e-mail account? Try this. This is how I am setup. Not only will it move all your contacts to your phone but any changes made in GMail or on the iPhone will be sync'd with the server.

Note... I think this will delete your existing contacts from your device. You will want to use iTunes to back them up and get them imported into GMail before you sync your device wtih GMail.
