How can I move Whatsapp or google photos from the camera roll to a different folder
The only way to remove photos from the Camera roll is to delete them. You cannot move them directly from the Camera roll to another album.
Sync the photos to your computer, remove them from iPhone and resync the photos to your iphone.

How can I get all photos from the camera roll, and all new pictures taken, to get on the photostream so they can share between iphone and ipad?

When turning PhotoStream on with photos available in the Camera Roll, only photos captured by the iPhone or saved on the iPhone are placed in the PhotoStream.
For all photos that were in the Camera Roll prior to turning PhotoStream on, import the photos with your computer and add the photos to your PhotoStream on your computer.

How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an already existing album in ipad?

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes.

  • How do you Remove a photo from the camera roll album without deleting from other albums

How do you Remove a photo from the camera roll album without deleting from other albums

If it was originally on the camera roll try this: take another unimportant photo for test purposes, copy it to any special folder you have created within Photos, connect your iPad to your computer, locate it as any other external device, and most likely that Photos folder will be the only thing that will show up, locate the photo, delete it and then sync your iPad.
If the test photo is gone from the camera roll but still in another folder within the app then you know that the system works so go ahead with the process. I understand that there are other photo apps which might let you achieve your goal much quicker.
    Hope thi helps.

  • Is there a way to delete a photo from the CAMERA ROLL without deleting the same photo from an album?

My camera roll album is too big so I set up different albums to 'move' the phots out of the camera roll.  After I moved photos I went to delete the photo from the 'camera roll album' but when I did, it deleted the photos from the other album I moved the photo to. Is there anyway to remove from camera roll while keeping it in the particular album?.

    "Why doesn't Apple fix this ?  "
Because it is not broken.  it works exactly as intended.
"If Microsoft can do it certainly apple could figure it out."
Apple has it figured out.  That is what is on the iphone.

  • My iPhone 4 is unable to upload photos from the camera roll onto facebook. Keep getting the message "unable to upload now"

My iPhone 4 is unable to upload photos from the camera roll onto facebook. I keep getting the message "unable to upload now, try later"

I suffer same.  AppleCare can't seem to solve the problem.  I did a restore from backup. Then I did a restore as new phone (virgin). Then I did a restore as a new device and then backed up from a stored backup (which does not replace media).  To no avail.  Some days it works fine, and on others it's extremely bothersome. The major symptoms:
    1. It can take 5+ seconds to delete a photo.
    2. It can take 10+ seconds for the camera app to activate. In many instances, the moment is long gone.
    3. Switching from camera to video can take 5+ seconds.
    4. Saving a photo that's been optimized in iOS 5 can take 30 seconds. Absurd.
Note that Photos and Camera aren't the only affected applications. What'sApp can have the same issues on occasion. Voice Memos don't respond like they should, either.  I suspect that there's some behind-the-scenes operations with network feed to which iOS gives its full attention (contrary to the UX getting full attention is is historically the case). This makes the user interface painfully slow at times — and, as most of us here would agree — painfully annoying.  This might have to do with changes designed around iCloud, but I'm not even (yet) using it.
The bottom line is that what used to be a quick, pretty good phone camera is now totally lackluster and unreliable for fast shots.  Sometimes I think Apple spends too much time worrying about form and not enough about function.

  • I am unable to e-mail photos from the camera roll

I am unable to e-mail photos from the camera roll, but if I paste the photo into an e-mail I can send it just fine. This seem to be an "exchange"-problem from looking at people with similar problems (ex. Hotmail, but this is a company server), but I've been unable to find a solution. I could do this a week ago, other users on the same server can do it. Tried a soft reset and tried removing and adding the e-mail account, but still the same problem. Ideas anyone?

More info: I can "send" the e-mail, I hear the "swoosh"' but it is never received on the other end.

  • My iPhone's screen is unresponsive when emailing a photo from the camera roll

Hello all, first time here, and I have an odd issue with my iPhone 5, running iOS 6.1.4
If I go to my camera roll and select a photo, then go and select "mail" from the options, it brings up the typical email message(I use gmail)
but if I go to tap the address section, it takes 5-6 taps to get the phone to bring up the keyboard to enter an address. The weirdest part is,
if I go into my email and start a message normally, it only takes the 1 tap to get the phone to bring up the keyboard for the address. I have
tried to reproduce this in other apps, and it appears to only happen when I email a photo from the camera roll.
Any ideas? Maybe a backup/restore? Thanks in advance.

Restored as new, did not restore from a backup. Set up my gmail account, took a test photo and tried to email it, and problem persists. Guess it must be a hardware thing, just so weird it only happens in the camera roll and not in regular email.
Thanks for the advice and help everyone!

  • How do I get iPhoto to import & store from the camera roll?

Under iOS 6, it was possible to import photos from camera roll to iPhoto, where they were stored, even if they were deleted from the camera roll.
Now, iPhoto has access to the entire camera roll, and I don't see a way to import into iPhoto.
My goal is to have a copy of the photo in iPhoto, but at the same time, delete it from camera roll.
Is this possible under iOS 7?

    My iPhoto is v. 4.0.3.
Is your QuickTime up to date?
Video importing requires QuickTime 7.6.2 or later.

  • How do i get pictures back i deleted from the camera roll?

Not from the fotostream folder. I wanted to split up my pictures into smaller folders, so I copied the pictures to my new folder and deleted them in the main folder. They're all gone now.
There is a backup from early last night, but I'm looking for a solution so I have a way of just getting my photos back without having to install the backup.
If there's no other way, then that's what I'll do.
The photos on the camera roll are alot older than the ones on the fotostream. The oldest ones are from when the iPhone 3GS just arrived in stores.
Please help, I wasn't smart enough to put them on a disc first, but I'm sure this among other things is what iCloud is for.

Aaaaaaand in addition to all of the above, the pictures i lost didnt show up in my fotostream. Does that mean theres no backup of those? Only sat in the camera roll, and they were taken with this phone.

  • Can I move photos from the Camera Roll to a new Albumn (not to add)?

I added some photos from Camera Roll to a new albumn and now I have two copies in two albumn. I tried to delete those photos from Camera Roll and the photos in the new albumn are also deleted. Can I move them instead of adding them to the new albumn?

No, when you 'copy' a photo into an album in the Photos app on your phone you are effectively just creating a pointer to the original photo, you aren't creating a second copy of it - if you then delete the original photo you will also be deleting all pointers to it.
There are third-party photo management apps such as Photo Manager Pro which allow you to create albums in them and move photos into those albums - they can also copy photos to/from the Photos app (and a computer), so you could do your album management in a different app.

  • Using the crop tool in Lightroom 5 I can only move and crop my photos from the top. Am I doing something wrong?

I am new to Lightroom 5 and find I cannot crop my photos as easily as I did in iPhoto. I would like to be able to drag them if I choose a custom size or crop them from the bottom as well as from the top but my two sided arrow disappears when I work at the bottom of the photo. Am I doing something wrong?

I would suggest you trash the prefs.
    Quit Lightroom
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following file:
    com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
    Then re-launch Lightroom
It’s then worth clearing each cache. Go to the top menu bar:
Lightroom >> Preferences >> File Handling (tab)
Click the Purge Cache button under Camera Raw Cache Settings; then click the Purge Cache button under Video Cache Settings. Finally click OK.

  • How do I delete multiple photos from the Camera Roll?

How do I delete multiple photos from camera roll without doing it one at a time?

Thanks for your posts on this - it's something I've been wondering about, too.
I do agree with Bonzo that it seems strange that there isn't a way to do it *efficiently* without having to hook the iPad to a computer.
I know there is an alternative: in other words, you're right, Lawrence - it is possible to delete multiple files at once by following your instructions (i.e. tapping on each photo once, etc.) - but if you want to delete lots of photos, it takes ages to tap on every one of them.
Does anyone else out there know of a way to delete multiple photos on the iPad/iPhone/iPod touch without having to tap on each photo separately, or having to hook up to a computer?
I'd be really grateful for any help on this. Thanks!

  • My iPhone 4S hangs (gets stuck or unresponsive) when deleting photos from the camera roll or use Messages app

I am now on my third replacement phone from Apple because of this issue.  My iPhone 4S frequently hangs (gets stuck), without response, when I click on the trash icon to delete a photo, for about 20-30 seconds before becoming responsive again. I notice that this problem of freezing happens also when I use my Messages app for texts. There is no crash that occurs because the app responds after hanging for some time, therefore does not create a crash report to be sent to Apple.  I never had this problem on my iPhone 4, and truly regret upgrading to the new device. I bought this phone for the faster processor, however I ended up with a device that is much slower and unresponsive. At the instruction of the multiple geniuses at the Apple store, I've restored the phone numerous times and set it up as a new device to no avail, and have lost app data every time.  I've had three different phones now, and the genius cannot resolve my issue. they've even done what's called a DFU mode restore to restore the device firmware, yet no fix.  Is anyone having similar issues? I'm starting to think its a software issue, although the apple store kept replacing my phone with a "remanufactured phone" even though I was within the 30 day return period. When I asked to get a new phone from the box, they told me it couldn't be done since I had my device replaced with a repair model already.
