How can I only autorotate the Background of my Adobe AIR application??

Hi Guys,
I made a game application which runs on a landscape position.
Now I would like to make use of the orientation function, but I only want to rotate the background of
the application. I cannot figure out how to do it .
Does anyone have suggestions? Please help me!

You can turn off auto orient and do the accelerometer readings for yourself, then rotate the background based on those readings.

On the printer driver documentation, Page 5, in the Imaging setting, although the options are not specifically shown, there should be an option on that screen of the print driver to click and select "B/W" or 'black and white' or 'grayscale' or 'monochrome' as Print Mode rather than the "Full Color" option shown in the illustration below.
You access these settings once you have selected 'Print' from an app.
If necessary, you might need to click on the 'Down arrow' button next to the printer name (OS X 10.6), or 'Show Details' button at the bottom of the print dialog box (OS X 10.8) to see additional settings.

If the data is on a remote server (for example, PHP running on a web server, talking to a MySQL server) then you do this in an AIR application the same way you would do it with any Flex application (or ajax application, if you're building your AIR app in HTML/JS).
That's a broad answer, but in fact there are lots of ways to communicate between Flex and PHP. The most common and best in most cases is to use AMFPHP (http://amfphp.org/) or the new ZEND AMF support in the Zend Framework.

Why can I only see the background?

I recently trie changing the resolution on my MacBook Pro, when it didn't work I did an NVRAM reset, this has now caused my useable window to disappear and all I can see is the background. I have no side bar, no bar at the top of the screen, nothing to be able to use my laptop. How do I get it back?

If you mean that you see only the iTunes bar and nothing else, not even the normal menus, you probably have iTunes in full-screen mode. Press the Escape key or move your cursor to the very top of the screen, then click the blue double-arrow icon at the very upper-right corner:

I found this fix. When I had a iPhone 3s, it was set up with att email as POP server. Email would stay on my phone until I deleted it. I liked it that way. In Decmeber, I upgraded to new 4s. I found that when I set up my att email, it was linked to the server?? Anything I deleted from server was deleted from phone, and visa-versa. Furthermore, I had my server setttings set such, that only about 50 emails stayed there, so emails were being deleted left and right. It was horrible!!
Here is what i did to restore to my old settings:
1. Put phone on airplane mode. This prevents it from automatically going out and setting up the inbound/outbound maile servers on its own.
2. Deleted ATT account
3. Created new ATT account using the server settings of inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net. These are POP style servers, so nothing is directly linked.
4. take off airplane mode (no pun intended)
Now it's AWESOME. Just like before. My phone will load up with hundreds of emails until I choose to delete them. I hope this helps many of you. Please pass this fix along on any other message boards.

How can I turn off the background "music" without turning off sound?

I find the background tune is annoying, especially when the sound of the video or you tube tape is playing softly. I didn't finish taking a one-session class because the sound interfered with the lecture. Is there a way to get rid of it? I know how to mute the sound so that there is none, but I want to hear the sound associated with whatever it is I am playing without this underneath----and sometimes on top!

Usually this means there is some media playing on a different tab. Unfortunately, Firefox doesn't have a built-in way to track down which tab it is.
I was not able to find an add-on to mute background tabs.
So... I think you might need to hunt down the source manually by checking all your tabs. Hopefully another volunteer will have an easier suggestion.

Using a right click, how can I load in the background a new Google search tab?

I can click on a link and have it open in a new tab in the background but try as I might I cannot select a word, right click, choose "Search Google for..." and have the new tabe open in the background. It opens in a new tab but then the tab is immediately selected. Holding down the Shift, Option, Control, or Command key doesn't work. Firefox immediately shifts to the new tab with the Google Search. Ideas?

If, at the top of your Firefox it does not show the Menu Bar - showing
File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help, hit F10 to make it show up and then go to Tools > Options.
Once that opens, click on where it says Tabs at the top. Then un tick the box where it says, "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately."

How can I zero out the memory on my macbook air?

I have an 11 inch mid 2011 macbook air and cannot figure out how to erase the memory so that none of the data is recoverable. I booted from the recovery HD but when I went to the erase section of the menu, the security options button and the zero out empty space option were both greyed out. How can I clean off my Mac?

You can't, and don't need to, zero an SSD in Disk Utility. Once you've erased it the data is unrecoverable.

How to Import Self-signed SSL server certificates in Adobe AIR applications

I am using secure AMF endpoints for remote object communication from AIR client.
since i am using a self signed SSL certificate on the server, i am getting a certificate warning message on the AIR client, when ever a remote call is done.
Is there any mechanism to import the server certificate in AIR application..?

In other words, in this situation, with a jdialog on top, if the user click once again on the save button or out of this jdialog, the jdialog must stay on top and active.
How i can this?

How can I print with the black and white cartridge only?

I am trying to print using the black and white cartridge only because magenta is out of ink but I'm getting the following error message in HP Photosmart C7200 series print dialog:
The printer is out of ink.
The following ink cartridges are empty: Magenta. Replace these ink cartridges to resume printing.
