How can I open all webpages within one window, using tabs?

As new user I am missing the opportunity to open a link with a new tab. Firefox opens it often within a new window. Using CTRL can solve it, but I'm not used to that.
I used IE and IE has a setting to open everything within a new tab, instead of in a new window.
Is something like that possible for Firefox?
(I read something like that some website needs to be opened with a new window, because it would show better. To me that is nonsense, because I can decide for myself how to open a page.)
So please add a setting for that, I think it would please more people than just me.

In the Tools menu select Options to open the options window. In the options window go to the Tab panel and make sure the setting "Open new windows in a new tab" is selected.
Firefox only has a small number of tab settings listed on the Options window, you can get far greater control over tabbed browsing by using an add-on. Some examples that greatly enhance tabbed browsing features are:

I am running 3.6.12 and my new tab and/or window actions are the same. How can i open new links within apps into new tabs?

I used to be able to control new tab actions such as opening on top of current tab or in a new tab. This is frustrating as i always cover up where I am or was! How can this be corrected so I can open a new tab in a new tab? I am enrolled in an on-line class and can not open tabs in a new tab as needed as it always places the new tab on top of teh current or old tab.
Funny as i use to complain about opening in new windows!
I am missing how to control new tabs and new window actions?

Or you can simply use the Restore option of Disk Utility to clone the drive to the backup:

Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.

Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

I am able to open PDFs from the Internet normally using the Adobe Reader X plugin, but for some reason, it doesn't kick in when I open local PDF files.
I am using Firefox 4.0.1 and Adobe Reader X.

Do you have any graphics editing software like photoshop or something similar.?
Surely you can just open both images, resize the image you want to add, then copy and paste it into the main image. Save this as a new file and set it as the background.
If you need a graphics editing program you can download one called The Gimp for free. Just make sure you have X11 installed.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way. Delete just as you would any other message that you don't want. It's probably just as well that there is no universal deletion capability. I can see many of us committing a major "oops."

From within a CHM page, how can I open an independent, non-modal window?
From within a topic I want to display a large picture by clicking an icon. The picture should appear in an independent, non-modal window that the reader can grab on its caption bar and so move the window around. Thus, the reader can move the picture window to one side of the monitor, for example, and then use it as a reference, while continuing to read the topic on the other side of the monitor.
Is this possible in RH7? If so, which RH feature would I use to do this?

I'm guessing you want to simply open a new browser window without any browser controls, right? In this case, you will need to use JavaScript to do it.

yes i do that on my desktop but i dont have middle click option on laptop and even in the right click context the ''open all in tabs'' option is desplayed but is in light color i.e. not functional. I copied and pasted text onto pages from the internet, but the text does not go all the way to the end of the set margins that i have on Pages, instead it goes about halfway or so and begins on a new line. how can i remove all of the spaces between the words so that it runs the full length of the page.
It blows my mind that i have to resort to seeking help on the apple forums for this problem, it seems like something so simple would be a standard feature when adjusting text on the page. The only thing that could frustrate me more is if it impossible to do on this software, or if it is simple to do and I was too stupid to figure it out. If it is impossible then I'm **** out of luck because the document is just to **** long to sit there for hours and manually delete every single last return.
