How can I open email attachments in Pages?

I am unable to open email attachments such as Word docs and PDFs in Pages. If I select them I get "open in mover lite." Until recently, when I selected them I could open in iBooks but that is no longer an option for me. I am not sure iBooks would help anyway!

That file is made when someone is using Rich text format and attaches a file. Have them switch to either HTML or plain text and reatatch the file and you should see the proper attachments.

How can I open the EP login page in the same pop-up window?

is it possible for me to using / only one window(Browser) pop-up to EP Page(Login or iView...).
In the firs general html page I create a EP login page link action[eg. "window.open('url', 'target_name')"],
but always launching new pop-up window(Browser).
How can I open the EP login page in the only one window(pop-up)?
Could anybody help me by giving suggestion and codding?

Attachments that show as a bold downward pointing arrow in a gray rectangle in a dotted box have not yet been downloaded to your phone (usually because they are large). Tapping such an icon should download the attachment if you are connected to the internet and your mail server is reachable. Once downloaded, they should appear as normal (which would depend on the attachment type).

Microsoft has not written IE for Mac for years so unless you want to create a parition and install Windows, or user a Windows emulator, you're out of luck for installing IE on a Mac.

Go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Enable the Develop menu.
Now click Develop from the Safari menu bar then click User Agent > IE 9, 8, or 7

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

I have a new iPad Mini and just downloaded the Pages app. I want to open a word document from email, but when I tap the "arrow box" icon, I only get a choice to print, rather than an "Open in Pages" choice. How can I fix this?

Have you used Pages on the iPad at all yet? Any documents in it at all? If not, create a test document. Anything at all.
Just tap the + sign in the upper left corner of the Pages app, create a document. Type anything in it. Then tap Documents in the upper left corner to go back to the documents view screen. Tap the home button to go to your home screen. Go to the mail app and try again.

Really - now that's interesting because that is one of my pet peeves with my Yahoo Mail (accessed via browser): I have to download the attachments, they refuse to open within the message window. Have just recently purchased 2 iMacs and am having a problem with email attachments. iWorks is installed on both machines. In one machine, when an email attachment comes through I can "Command-click" and get an option menu to select the application that will open the attachment- in other words choose Pages rather than TextEdit or Word (if I had it installed).
On the second computer, all "Word-type" documents are automatically opend by TextEdit. If I "Command-click"

You are probably not doing anything wrong but sending to persons not having Macs with Pages of the same version. If you are sending to person on PCs or Macs without the right Pages you have to export to Word or Pdf so they can read it.

I have just bought the Nokia C7. I am on Orange. 1. Fantastic phone except I can't open attachments, I get a "cannot connect, check your connection settings" message. I can open emails, I can go on the internet with no problem. I tried this with an 02 sim & still got the same message. 2. Rajivindia - I am none the wiser about this & haven't read anywhere of anyone else other than you having this problem. I have spoken to Orange several times but can't seem to find someone that knows what they're talking about.

I just installed the iWorks software because it said it would open Word docs. Now I can't seem to open any Word .doc files I had archived onto CDs, after abandoning my PC.
I've made Pages my default application for opening text, and that didn't help. I just keep getting the error message "The document "X.doc" couldn't be opened." Any ideas?

Pages - the word processing/page layout application in iWork (no "s") - usually doesn't have any problems with opening Word files, but I do believe it can't open any Word files older than version 6. It is also highly unlikely that it would be able to open any from the new 2007 version. If your documents are from a version in between those, they should open.
How are you trying to open them? There are at least three common methods, but, since you say the documents are on a CD, I suggest copying them from the CD to your hard drive first. To open one at a time you can use File > Open (where > means following menu commands with your cursor). To open more than one at a time, select the ones you want by Command- (⌘) clicking the files & then dragging them onto the Pages icon in the Dock or a Finder window or Control- or right-click & choose Pages from Open with in the contextual menu that appears.

The apple store genius changed my email from hotmail to outlook because I couldn't send emails & it worked fine.
Then I updates to 7.03, now I can't open attachments.
