How can i open homepage in tabs always?

Hello everyone,
when i launch safari(5.0.4), it always open my homepage in a window. This was never a problem before, don't know how its happened. What i would like instead is that I have my homepage open in a TAB always. Since a couple of days, i have been tweaking around with the perferences, but no results. Even changing the changing the settings under TABS in preferences.
Here is what i've tried so far:
Reset, caches, cookies...etc.
Deleted the plist file.
Deleted safari from app folder.... reinstalled it.
This sounds quite silly but i don't know how to fix it.
what am i missing her? can someone please help.
Can't believe it...i can't paste or drag a PNG shot of tabs(prefs)????

Hi,
Try Safari in another user account. If you have the same problem, log back into your admin account. Launch Disk Utility. Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left then select the FirstAid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions). If the startup disk needs repairing, follow the instructions here for Using Disk Utility to Verify and Repair Disks
Extensions are fine if the developer updates their software as needed to be compatible with the latest Mac OS X and Safari versions.
Also, it could be a Safari third party plugin causing the tab issue. Follow the instructions here for Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

yes i do that on my desktop but i dont have middle click option on laptop and even in the right click context the ''open all in tabs'' option is desplayed but is in light color i.e. not functional. Is this a problem with windows 7 or missing plugin or add on could help or extension of some sort ? please help !

Before I switched to the current version of Firefox, the new tab that I would open, was opening right after the last open tab previously opened.

You can use "Opt + Return" or middle click the Go (Reload/Stop) button at the right end of the location bar.

How can I open the Create tab?

I want to make a greeting card following the instructions of the book "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Classroom in a Book", using the CD enclosed in the book. I follow the instructions from page 140 of that book, but when I click the purple Create tab above the Panel Bin, the image of the frames doesn`t open in the Edit pane. So, the Purple Create tab doesn`t open any image or tab in any part of the screen. It doesn`t work at all. I try again with my own pictures, but the result was the same. My computer is an iMac with Mac OSX (v10.6), and my Browser is Safari.

Have you turned off the panel bin? First try doing a Reset Panels. If that doesn't do it, quit PSE, then go to library>application support>adobe>Photoshop Elements>8.0>locale>en_US (will be different if you aren't in the US) and delete mediadatabase.db3. (Note that this the library at the top level of your hard drive, not your username>library or system>library).
When you restart PSE don't do anything until you see the icons in the effects panel--give it time to rebuild everything.

Set Yahoo as you home page, and set firefox to open the homepage when it starts. (Not to open previous pages).

Your phone is in recovery mode. Did you plug it to the computer running itunes? What happend?

How can I specify the default tab in a CHM Output?

My company uses CHM-based help for some of its products. We build the CHM files from RoboHelp 9, and while these CHM files don't really have a full Index attached to them, the Index tab shows up in the output anyway. Unfortunately, we are suddenly seeing that when the CHM file is launched from our program, the Index tab is displayed by default. We'd rather have the Contents tab be the default look, especially considering that the Index does not exist.
I have poked around into how you can specify a default tab for a CHM file, and the only information I have found suggests that using a CHM file creates a file (HH.dat) that specifies which tab should be displayed on a user-by-user basis, and that the last tab displayed when you close the CHM should be the first one displayed when you re-open it. While this is true if you open the CHM independent from the product, when you launch it from our program, it's all Index, all the time.
So, my question is: How can I specify the default tab for a CHM file? Or, failing that, how can I excise the Index tab from my CHM output.

This will be something up to your application developer to resolve. When s/he issues the call to open the CHM, there are parameters that may be used to always open with the desired tab "in front".
