They were not there and MacKeeper made them up. Delete it completely. I have seen it cripple people's Macs.

Iam working on SSIS project created on VS 2008. I opened the Solution using VS 2010 and it was converted.When i tried to open it with VS 2008 it throws the error as"cannot be opened from source control because it was created by a version of Microsoft
Visual Studio that is incompatible with this one.
If this is the case, you may be able to open it from source control using that version of Microsoft Visual Studio, and then use Microsoft Visual Studio to open the local copy." How can i open the solution using VS 2008 instead of VS 2010. Any help is appreciated

I want new tabs to open with my homepage (not just new windows).

I've set FF to open new windows with my home page. How can I get FF to do the same with new tabs?

You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

FILE-MENU refuses to open 10% of the time. Of that about 1/3 can be opened with Alt-F. Not website related.

Sorry for the ramble:
Clean installed FFox 14.0.1 - 2 days ago. Installed all plug-ins, extensions etc just as I had in FFox 3.6.28. All good so far.
Played around a LOT til got buttons, tabs etc looking-going lovely.
Since then 90% of time "File Menu" (u know, next to Edit :-) works fine. Other 10% it REFUSES to open. I read LOTS and besides side-tracks of other people's problems, I read about using Alt-F --- so I tried it, but only about 1/3 of the time does it come to life, the rest it refuses.
It happens: Regardless of how many tabs, dozens of websites, etc... it just seems to lose the plot.
It's now doing it about 4 times per 3 hour stint!
Minimizing Ffox DOES NOT fix it.
Closing Ffox all-together & restarting (( DOES FIX IT )) but it's something that shouldn't happen at all.
If it turns out it's by cross-breeding (plugins) with too many dogs, I apologise in advance.
Other than that --- WOW WHAT A BLOODY GREAT piece of software! Truly was worth the stress of getting into another version of the program.
3 positive pieces to note is that:

It is possible that one of your extensions is causing the problem. I would try to disable them one by one,and then run tests between each one, until you find the culprit.

Before I switched to the current version of Firefox, the new tab that I would open, was opening right after the last open tab previously opened.
Now if I have 4 tabs open and I open a new tab from inside the first one, the new tab opens as number 2 tab.

A friend of mine sent me an email from his Ipad with an attachment which has the extension .note. How can I open this file on my Mac?

It appears that this extension is related to the ipad app 'notability'. It would have to be exported as a pdf or rtf file to be opened.
You can do some googling, but might be better if the sender converts the file to something more common and sends again.

I just bought a used 1st Generation Apple iPad 64 GB, 3G. How can I open an Apple App account? I am trying to download a free app and it says I have to have an account, however, everytime I try to set up a new account I can fill only fill out some of the information but then the screen goes black and I cannot proceed with the account. I can think of no reason at all why you need a sim card to creat an Apple ID. Try this first - reboot the iPad and reset the memory.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Afte the iPad starts up again, follow the directions in this support article - exactly - to creat the account without a credit card.

IF ... You are signed into another Apple ID on the iPad you will have to sign out of that ID in order to create a new one. Settings>Store - you can sign out there.
You MUST try to download a free app in order to start the process off correctly. If you were using an email address with another ID that you already created, you will have to have another email address to associate the new ID with.

how can i open my iBook on my Mac, not just on my iPhone? I ask this questions in hopes that I can eventually find a way to have the iPhone read a non "Enhanced" iBook to me.
I used the Accessibility reader for a brief time but it's very persinickety. Move the phone a tiny bit and it threw me out from page 70 and back to page 48. Changing pages when you are in Accessibility is excruciating. Now, I cannot get back there at all.
I downloaded 2 apps that claim they can read to me but the closest I can get in the instructions says I need to open the iBook from my Mac computer with my iPhone connected and then I will be able to open the iBook in the app called "Read text to me". Only when I go to open the book on my Mac it says "This book can’t be viewed using this computer. You can view this book using iBooks on your iOS device."
Thank god, I only have a brain tumor and am not yet completely blind.
I've been to the Apple store twice, checked out a youtube page with all it's comments and I am still nowhere, over the course of a week.

Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though.

Single click on the document you created in Classic, bring up your 'popup' menu (right click or control-click), select 'Open With' and choose the Mac OS X application you believe will open the document.

You cannot retrieve the already published site as iWeb CANNOT open it - it has no import facility.
You need your domain.sites file, which you can find under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. You do not need any kind of account for this because it is your domain.sites file that resides on the hard drive of your Mac anyway. Find this file and you can alter your website.
Use a spotlight search to try and find it and if this does not work you can download something called Find Any File. If you really can't find it, then you'll have to start from scratch because iWeb cannot open a site that is already published.
