this just started w/ me yesterday. I was running 10.5.3, and nothing changed - the message just appeard out of nowhere. I update to the latest iTunes 10.6 but the message is the same.
Sounds like probably some sort of Library file corruption.
The two options available in the message box are "Download" and "Quit". Download is useless because I'm already running the latest. Quit is pretty useless.
I was going to just create a new Library and re-import all my music. Of course, all my iPhone sync settings are going go have to be recreated. -

Is it lost or stolen?
Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

How can I pay off my outstanding balance???
So heres my story, I was dumb and used a pre-paid credit card to buy apps in the app store on my iphone 4. My account now has an outstanding balance of 25.17$ and I was looking for a way to pay it off. If I redeem 3 10$ iTunes gift certificates to my account, will it deduct the amount that i owe then I can have my account back to normal? I would prefer to NOT use a credit card if possible. Thanks
I'm no expert (well this is a user forum!) but if you bought using the credit card (pre-pay or post pay) you will have to pay them.
Apple doesn't run a tab (again as far as I know), they will have charged your credit card company already.
So the credit card will be the one to pay. -

Go to your second computer, login to the App Store using the same AppleID you used when you purchased OS X Lion and download it from THAT computer. Or, since you mentioned you downloaded it to one computer and both computers are on the same local area network, share the Install OS X Lion.app file with your second computer or put it on an 8GB USB thumb drive, unplug the drive, plug it into your second computer and copy it to its /Applications folder.

We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why unless you give us some more info e.g. if you are getting an error message then what does the message say, and what sort of card is it, debit or credit ?
If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts about them being declined. -

What happens when you try to add it ? If it's a credit card (I don't think that debit cards are still accepted) then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is and it's being declined then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

I'm having a billing issue with my apple id. I got my first iPhone today and I've signe din etc however before i can download any apps etc i need to resolve an old payment apparently. The problem is i cant enter my new card details because the issue is registered to when i was in America and i require to pay the funds from an American source. Any ideas how i can resolve this? You have to contact iTunes store support. There is a probability that this issue is caused by a previous payment issue. They will let you know what you need to do.
