How can I place photo icons on top of folders?

I put 4 folders in my dock. I need to ID them with photo - icons.
1) How can I place photo icons on top of 3 folders, so that they also retain
their folder shape?
2) And, to make one of them look like a folder that has text?

It sounds like what you actually need to do is amend the icon itself - something like Iconographer will help you with that. Open the icon of any standard folder, copy in your photo image, amend the result to your satisfaction, and save it as a new icon. Then apply that icon to your folder.

An attachment is not really placed in a email message. It is ATTACHED to it. That is why they call it an attachment. Even though it may show (be visible) in the email when read.
You would need to Embed the file/image in the actual body of the email. Then you can place it anywhere you like.

Thanks for prompt reply, yes we have tried that but have now closed down the browser we where the photos were.
We haven't sent up time machine, do you know whether there is any roll-back function on a Mac?

This is a silly question, but I cannot fix it! The icons that appear on my photos after I edit them, have gone away. The only way I can see them is in the Grid view. How can I get the icons back on the thumbnail photos of the full gallery that is loaded?

You have likely dragged the size of the filmstrip thumbnails to a small size that prevents Lightroom from displaying the badges. Using your mouse, mouse over the top line of the filmstrip and then drag it supports to increase the size.

Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now...

You cannot directly. If you have a jFrame (e.g.) with your own icon you can use one of the JDialog costructors using (Component owner, ... ). Then the dialog will display the same icon.

Click on the i button lower right, and this will open the Info Pane
Note Lower Right it says 'Assign a Place' and type the name of the town/city
iPhoto will search for that location and put a pin there on a map.
Drag the pin to the exact location.

Yes, the entire top bar disappeared. I no longer see the place to click to

To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to your device using photo applications
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
In iTunes, select your device's icon in the Devices list on the left.
Click the Photos tab.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
