How can i place unplaced photos in a new book

I have been making photo books, but find I'm left with unplaced photos I don't want to put in the same book.
How can I select the remaining photos and place them in another book?
I know I can add extra pages, but is there then a way to split the book?
In any case I think my books can only have 100 pages, in which case I can't add extra pages to the existing book.
Any help greatly appreciated!

You might try it this way:
Select your Book in the "Projects" section of the Library.
Ctrl-click the icon and select "Duplicate" from the Pop-up menu. This will create a second copy of your book. Open this new Book.
Click the "Photos " tab.
Then press "Clear Placed Photos". Now you'll have a new book with only your unplaced Photos.
Alternately you may set the selector on top to "Unplaced Photos" to be able to select them and create a new book from the unplaces photos.

    Select a pic
Click on the i button lower right, and this will open the Info Pane
Note Lower Right it says 'Assign a Place' and type the name of the town/city
iPhoto will search for that location and put a pin there on a map.
Drag the pin to the exact location.

  • My computer crashed and I have most of my old computer's photos in my iPhone.  How can I upload these photos to my new computer.

My old computer crashed and I had saved a lot of my photos on my iPhone.  How can I upload mu old computer's photos to the new computer?

If they are in the camera roll, you transfer them the same as you would from any other digital camera. If they are not in the camera roll, you restore them to the computer from the backup you made of that. The iPhone is not a backup device.
You can purchase 3rd party software that will let you extract the photos from the phone, but the photos stored on the phone (other than those in the camera roll) are not stored at full resolution. They are optimized for the iPhone display.

  • How can I place a photo (*.jpg) into an email directly, not as an attachment?

I want to sent a photo by placing it directly into the "text" box of an email, rather than attaching it to the email. Can I do that? How?

Firefox does not do email, that would be another application and you didn't mention what that email application is.

  • How can I drag multiple photos into a new iPhoto library from search box?

I lost but found my list of photos that were in my iPhoto library. I am unable to drag more than one photo at a time from the search box into the new iPhoto library box. Am I doing something wrong or do I have to drag one at a time? (That would take hours.) Please help if you can!
    Thanks,
    Laure

    Roam,
Thanks again. I know how to highlight and drag multiple photos or a list of files, but the only place I found my list was by going to Finder>File>Find then a dialogue box comes up. In the dialogue box I put in iPhoto and checked that then put in "kind" "is" "image" and "size" "is greater than" "30" KB. When I click search, the entire list from my library comes up but that is when I am unable to drag more than one file at a time. The box that comes up when I search isn't (at least I don't think it is) a "folder" as such. Any suggesttions?

  • How can I frame my photos in the new PSE11

While I knew how to add a frame to my photos in the previous version on PSE, I can't seem to figurre out how to do so in the latest version.  Could someone point me in the right direction, please.

In Elements 11 Content panel is changed with Graphics panel.
If you are in Expert mode (for single image)
Click on the Graphics icon next to layers on task bar or go to window menu >> graphics
If you are in creation mode
    Switch to advance mode
Open the graphics panel and add a new frame.

  • How can I export ALL photos to a new external HD if I have Aperture "Managing" my library (hundreds of projects,1.6TB of photos)?

I Originally setup Aperture years ago to "Manage" my huge amount of photos to save space and be more convenient. I have bought a new external HD and want to export my entire original files from all the different projects and sub projects from the one "Organized Managed" file to individual original photo files on the new HD. I know how to export a project or even a few at a time but what about 1.5TB of photos in RAW/NEF format? Thanks for the help my fellow Apple lovers.

Aperture makes it easy to move any Image's Originals from inside the Library to outside the Library, and from any directly-connected location outside the Library to another directly-connected location, and to move any Image's Original from outside the Library to inside the Library, at any time, singly or in batch.
Select the Photos container near the top of the Library Inspector.  In the Browser, select all Images.  Use "File ▹ Relocate Original", and select a destination and a Finder folder scheme.  Moving 1.5 TB of files will take some time.  Let it run.

  • How can I place photo icons on top of folders?

I put 4 folders in my dock. I need to ID them with photo - icons.
    1) How can I place photo icons on top of 3 folders, so that they also retain
    their folder shape?
    2) And, to make one of them look like a folder that has text?
    Intel Mac - Dual - Tiger 10.4.9
    Thank you.

It sounds like what you actually need to do is amend the icon itself - something like Iconographer will help you with that. Open the icon of any standard folder, copy in your photo image, amend the result to your satisfaction, and save it as a new icon. Then apply that icon to your folder.

  • How do I place a photo in Illustrator from my iPhoto Library?

I am a graphic designer and I use Illustrator and Photoshop a lot. I don't use iPhoto for most of my photo editing but rather for the organizing it does with my photos in regard to me viewing them.
Since updating to iPhoto 08 the other day I am unable to get into my photos folder and place a photo in Illustrator or open a photo from Photoshop. (I have now figured out how to use Photoshop to edit...so that is not my real issue) Because of this new design to keep people out of the folder so they don't corrupt them, it also seems to keep me out from even placing a photo.
Other than physically making a copy of it and placing it into another folder how can I access these photos? I have tried dragging and dropping the photo from iPhoto to my Illustrator page, I get this message +"QuickTime™ and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture."+
I can do a work around for Photoshop but what about Illustrator? Why can I not just place my photo?
I am sorry if this question is redundant to others being asked in regards to the "no easy access" to the main iPhoto Library but I didn't see any questions specifically asking about Illustrator.
    Thanks.

    Two things
1- When you go to Leopard the access is very easy and more direct
2 - for me I love the fact that I do NOT have to worry about having the latest version of the photo like I used to - now I export the photo (at worst - under Leopard I normally directly access the latest version) and know that it is the current version rather than looking at the original folder and the modified folder trying to remember the photo name (which makes exporting, using and deleting my preferred work flow under Tiger)

  • How do you place the photo to be on the cover in iPhoto books?

How do you place the photo to be on the cover in iPhoto books?  In try to make a book in iPhoto I find it impossible to choose a photo for the cover. I try to make a photo a key photo, i put it at the front of the selections, i give it the most stars but somehow another photo is selected and I can't change the selection.  Help.  Thank you. iPhoto 9.5.1

    You are welcome
I hope your book will be great. Once you finish the book, make a preview and check it carefully, before uploading the book to Apple.
Keep the preview for your records, until you receive the printed copy.

  • HT201210 Trying to restore a new iphone 4 to files from an iphone 3, however, the restore says it can't complete because there isn't enough space.  I would like to delete photos and music files.  How can I delete these photos?

After doing the initial restore function, I'm trying to delete phots from the system.  The itures instructions says to click the photos button the unselect photos or albums, but see no photos button.  How can I delete the photos to gain some storage space?

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

  • How can I move my photos from Photoshop Elements 8 to a new computer also running Elements 8?

How can I move my photos from Photoshop Elements 8 to a new computer also running Elements 8?

I am not sure this is going to work. For one thing, the preferences file is in a different place in Mountain Lion. It is at: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.pli st. I wouldn't try to move the .plist file, I'd be very surprised if it would work.
I would do a different approach and start with just recreating the mail account(s) you have on the new machine from scratch and let them download your mail from the server. Then if there were e-mails not on the server any more, but stored in the black macbook, I'd copy them from the mailboxes folder, from the old machine to the new. I'm not sure where they are in 10.5.8, but in ML they are at ~/Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes.
At each stage along the way I'd do a backup, so in case it screws things up, you can revert to a functional Mail.app.

  • Just changed hardrives on my computer. How can I reference my photos and backups from my old HDD?

I just switched my HDD for a SDD on my laptop. All files on my old HDD are still intact, the backups and photos are all in the same place. I will be using the HDD as an external hardrive. What is the best way to reference my photos and backups in lightroom that I reinstalled on my SDD?

I do apologize if I am still missing what I am supposed to follow on that
link, but I don't think it applies to me.I may not have explained fully
what I am trying to accomplish. I have a laptop computer, I replaced my HDD
with an SSD then I replaced my my optical drive with my old HDD. I am
storing all of my software and OS on the SSD, so i reinstalled creative
cloud and lightroom on the SSD. I am storing all of my documents on my hard
drive. So right now when I open lightroom on my new SSD there are no
pictures, because its a fresh install of the software on my new rive. On my
HDD i still have all of my photos, backups, and even software. I am in the
process of deleting the OS and software off of the HDD and software files.
Before I do that I want to make sure that I have transferred everything
that I am going to need. How can I get my pics on my new version of
lightroom? Thanks again for the help.
