I have created a tool which can create a summary of the bookmarks structure of a file in either PDF format or as a plain text file, and you can also choose whether or not to include the matching page number for each bookmark. How can I keep a list of bookmarks in view as I navigate to a page (as in IE)?

I want to be able to see my list of bookmarks while I'm navigating the web. In IE, there is an arrow in the favorites column on the right; when clicked, the entire list of favorites moves to the left and stays open as you navigate. Is there a similar function is Firefox 8?

All you have to do is change the Bookmark Icon in the tool bar from the one that creates a drop down list to the one that opens the sidebar. Do this from the Options/Toolbar/Layout menu. Use the one that does NOT have the little down arrow to the right of the star.
After that try out the Sidebar Bookmarks Search Plus extension. It helps you find something buried deep in a bookmark folder and most importantly shows you where it is in your bookmarks.

You should be able to connect the Dell 922 (c.2004) to your iBook Jaguar(c.2002) - you may see the problem... finding a driver for the Dell922 may be a BIG obstacle as Jaguar pre-dates the Dell922 - thus, no built-in driver in the OSX - it may be that some Dell driver will work but I would not bank on it.

What is stopping you from connecting iBook to the Internet?
What Mac or PC do you have now? Connect via network cabling? > transfer file (what Application?) > print ?
put your file on a thumb drive and transfer it to another's computer - friend, FedExOffice Store, etc.

I am running Mac os 10.6.8 and Firefox 6.0.1 on a MacBook Pro and on a desktop Macintosh.
The large computer displays a list of bookmarks when you click on the uppermost Bookmarks menu.
The MacBook Pro displays the following when you click on the Bookmarks word in the top menu:

You can export your bookmarks to an HTML file by going to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks. From that window select Import/Export and then Export HTML...

A few things to consider.
The computer Printopia is loaded on must be powered on and must be able to print on the printer that is being shared. If the iMac is having problems printing to the printer it could indicate a problem with the share setup.

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I'm still a bit confused by what you mean by "save the file". Which file are you referring to? Perhaps it would help if I explained a bit more about what I'm trying to do.
I want to print out the list of bookmarks that are displayed in the sidebar, which are organised into folders such as "music", "travel" "most visted" etc etc, so that I get a printed list of all the sites I have bookmarked, including the ones in each of the folders.
In Internet Explorer, I can do this by exporting the list to a file and then printing out that file, but I can't find any similar export command in Firefox.
