How can i print from my macbook pro using a kodak office hero 6.1 ai0?

I have printed out the network configuration of the printer, but I can not find the software.

First, why?  If you're having problems, note that this is the last thing to try.  Kinda like knocking down your entire house and rebuilding it from the foundation up in order to fix a leaking kitchen sink.  Sometimes a clean reinstall is necessary, but not as often as people do it.
If you have a good reason or just want to do it regardless, the next question is did you buy the upgrade to Lion from the App Store or did your machine come with Lion?  If the former, you should hold down option and click the Purchased icon in the App Store, then re-download it.  Use the installer to make a bootable Lion install drive (preferably, IMHO, on an 8 GB flash drive).  Then start up from that, use Disk Utility to erase the hard drive, and reinstall.
Otherwise, hold down command-R while starting up to enter recovery mode and do the same from there.  The disadvantage is that you'll have to download everything as part of the install process.  You're going to have to re-download one way or the other, but it's nice if you can make a disk and avoid doing that again in the future, if it becomes necessary again.
And, as sig says, any applications will need to be reinstalled from the original disks.  Make sure you have all serial numbers handy, and make sure all your personal data is backed up extremely well (in at least two different places).

    Sure can.
With a document open in Pages, select to print so that you can see the print dialog as shown below.
Note that to see this view, you may need to press the Show Details button in the bottom left corner. In the image above, since I have the expanded view displayed, this button changes to Hide Details
So with the view shown, first change the Presets menu to Default Settings. Then click the Layout drop menu and select Quality & Media. Make the changes you want and then click on the Presets menu and select Save Current Settings as Preset...
At the next window, give the Preset a name and select the Only this Printer radio button and then click OK to save it. That's it.
As for the Preset that you already have, if you no longer want this preset then you can delete it via the Show Presets menu pane that you've used already.

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

You said HP in your post title and Epson in your body text, but I think it is actually an Epson Artisan 810.
If that's right, then the free Epson iPrint app should work for you - it lists your printer as one that it supports: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/epson-iprint/id326876192?mt=8

HOW CAN I AIRPLAY FROM MY MACBOOK PRO

The graphics chipset in pre-2011 Macs will not support the AirPlay feature. I guess Apple could have withheld the feature for everyone, or provided free graphic upgrades for all older Macs. Neither choice makes much sense. It's a shame, but the Mac and iOS products have a lot more going for them than this one feature.
AirParrot is said to work for some machines. I tried it on my 2008 iMac, and it left a lot to be desired

  • How can I mirror from my macbook pro

Hi all, I have a macbook pro and would like to mirror my tv right to my apple tv but don't know how?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button.

  • Problems printing from a Macbook Pro on a Kodak ESP7

    Hi,
I am having problem printing from my Mac to the Kodak.  I have connected the mac to the printer through the settings as it can see it.  However, when I come to print it it says the printer is not responding and to check if it is turned on and properly connected.  I have tried reloading the printer etc but still cant get it to work.  I fired up my old windows laptop and that will print fine wirelessly so it can't be my BT Hub for the internet.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I dont want to go and have to buy another printer.
    Thanks for suggestions.

Using the OS X built-in network printing protocols
requires a CUPS driver. Check on Brother's site to
see if they now have a CUPS driver for your model,
or you can try the open source hl1250 driver from:
    http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hl1250/
Unfortunately, I don't have an Intel Mac, so I don't
know if any of these power PC drivers will work for
    you.
    Please let us know.
I was told by a friend that the drivers are already built into the OS X 10.4.3, I hooked up the printer directly via USB and indeed it worked just fine. But, as I stated before, I just can't get the **** thing to work when the printer is connected to my PC and I try to print through the network.

I am neither a MBPro nor Yosemite user, but I knew there was a dearth of info for those who are. As new a Yosemite is, there seems to be quite a few anomalies - your situation provides an example that illustrates "good to go on one Mac and not-so-good on another"
You may be able to check some things for yourself while you wait for the cavalry to come...
On the GoodMacContact, look carefully at the misbehaving BadMacContact info.
On the BadMacContact, make it have exactly ALL the same attributes/settings as GoodMacContact.
give it try if you make any changes - else, DELETE BadMacContact and Create a New Contact using the GoodMacContact as a guide for all attributes - give that one a try.
Wait a bit for the cavalry if no joy - a reply will notify me and move your thread up in the list for folks who may be visiting later on. If no answer (after no joy) after a while, we may  ask our gracious Hosts to transfer this to the Yosemite forum - that one seems very active
    hang in there

  • Canon Pixma Printing from a Macbook Pro using Windows XP Home machine

Using my windows xp home machine as a print server. I have a Canon MP480 printer
Installed bonjour on the xp machine.
    Installed the printer and drivers.
    Shared the printer on XP.
Installed the driver on the MacbookPro.
Added the printer using Windows print sharing.
Prints to XP machine so that the print job shows up in the queue on the windows machine.
Printer starts to get ready to print.
    It never prints.
This is a common printer because they give it away at the Mac store when you buy a new Macbookpro.

Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Usually when you select to add a Windows shared printer (Add Printer > Windows) you get prompted to enter the Windows user name and password. After entering this information you will then see the printer share name. If you are not getting prompted for account information after selecting the sharing computer then your Mac may have cached or saved a previous account used on Windows. Since you mention Guest for a previous attempt, maybe this is being used by the Mac and if that is now disabled on Windows then this could be a cause. So check your Windows accounts to see if the Guest account is still enabled.
The other thing that you can do is open Keychain Access on the Mac and look at the 'login' keychains. Your details for the connection to the PC could be saved here so you could delete this entry and then try adding the Windows printer share on the Mac again.
Once you do manage to see the printer share there is another matter that you need to be aware of. For some printers, the vendor created printer driver does not work when connecting to a Windows shared printer. For these types of connections you need to use either the Gutenprint or PrintFab driver suite.
Gutenprint is preferred because it is free a version is included with Mac OS X 10.6. The one major issue with Gutenprint is that very new models of printers are often not included with the latest release. In this scenario it is necessary to try to find a compatible model for the respective vendor, but this can use a large amount of ink and paper before achieving a successful result.
So this can force you to use [PrintFab|http://www.printfab.net] and the creators do a very good job of keeping up with new model releases. There is a cost involved with the software (€49) but there is a 30 day trial so you can at least test that it works.
