How can I put a slideshow created in Iphoto, out to my digital camera??

I am using Tiger, and Ilife 6.
I made a slideshow in Iphoto from some postcards I scanned. I want to use those snaps in a movie I am creating on a stand alone editing unit (not on the MAC) Is there anyway I can put this slideshow (with the snaps I want to use in a movie) back into my video camera and not out to a DVD. This way I would have them on tape and could then put the contents of the tape into my stand alone unit to add to my movie I am creating there. I use a Prestige to do my editing of video, not Imovie.
Before upgrading to Ilife 6 there was an option to do this I no longer can find an option. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Stella

Hello all those who took the time to help me with my problem. Thank you all. Yes I do have the option of sending it back to my camera I have found again since I went into iMovie.
My problem was I did the slide show in Iphoto because I wanted to use the Burns effect and the only option was to put it into iDVD (not iMovie) from there.
By putting the shots in iMovie I can send it back to my camera BUT cannot use the Burns effect so I am left with the black side on each side of the picture in the postcard. Guess you can't have everything.
THanks again you have all been very patient and helpful.
Stella
P.S.
re: It's in iMovie HD 7 that the Share menu appeared. .......No, it's in 6.0.3 on mine but only in iMovie not in the iDVD where I was trying to work.

  • How can I delete a slideshow outside of iPhoto?

I have a slideshow in iPhoto that is corrupt in some fashion where everytime it is selected it locks up iPhoto and requires a force-quit. I can not right click it to perform any contextual option since that also selects.
I have done the standard stuff including repairs in Disk Utility and all of the "secret" iPhoto startup options, but this errant slideshow remains.
I'm not too sure where to look in the [show package] contents of the library when accessed through the Finder.
    Any ideas?

There is no way. The slideshow is an entry in the database files.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Email a slideshow created on IPhoto

How can I email a slideshow created on IPhoto to a contact who may have a PC?

Export the slideshow - that makes a movie of it, but I wouldn't email it. Simply, sharing video via email is not advisable.
Many email services have an attachment limit of 20mb and some a limit of 10mb. As emails are sent through an array of relays, the effective limit is the smallest file size allowed on any of the relays.  That means that video is rarely suitable for emailing.
Then there's the whole issue of Codecs and not all machines will have the codecs to play all videos. Plus, folks with slower connections can find it very inconvenient to download large video files.
Finally, sharing video from iPhoto via email is not supported. All that gets you is the Movie thumbnail. If you feel you must share via email then you'll need to export the video first, and attach that. Use the File -> Export command and set the kind  to Original.
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Other than that your options include:
Upload it to a sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link - these will allow the recipient to view the material online. That will avoid the codec issues mentions, and the person can still download the video file if they wish.
Upload it to sharing services like Dropbox or YouSendIt and email a link. This will require that they download the material to their machines to view.

  • How can I put 2 songs together in a slideshow

I have 250 pictures in my slideshow. How can I put 2 different songs in my slideshow and fit the whole audio file to the 2 or 3 songs?

Create a playlist in iTunes with the songs you want. When choosing music for your slideshow in iPhoto, select the playlist, and not the individual songs.

Tags are independent of PDF page content. Removing/deleting a page or page(s) does not remove anything in the PDF's structure tree.
As Full Check is looking at the structure tree the report reflects what is present there.
In the Tags panel walk the structure tree to locate the Table tags. Delete these.

  • How can I put different clips in the "DropZone"

    Hey,
Just wondering how can I put different scenes in dropzones of a customized template in Idvd....
I imported my film from IMOVIE its' not saved as a movie format such as .mov or .avi it's saved as a project file... so I dont know how I would be able to do have different scenes in different drop zones.. I can only import the whole thing in a dropzone...
Cuz on customized template there is like 3 dropzones is there a way i can delete the other 2?
    Please help me out,
    JOey Dee

    Hello Joey,
the dropzone is actually not meant to contain your main movie. If you want to import your iMovie project by drag'n drop, drop it just above the bottom of the preview window. Alternatively choose File > Import > Video from the menu and select your iMovie project.
If you have 3 dropzones, you should create 3 short (30-45 sec) movies and/or slideshows to place in the dropzones.
Have a look at this little tutorial:
    http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/idvd_5stone.html
    hope this helps

  • How can I burn a slideshow to a DVD from with in iPhoro?

I have several slideshows that I spent a long time working on on a old drive that I don't use. How can I bring the slideshows across in tact so that I don't have to spend a huge amount of time organizing the photos again and, even worse, having to redo all the manual Ken Burn's effects so that zoom right from one part of the photo to the other part.
I suppose I could send the slideshow to iDVD but I don't think I would then be able to import it into iPhoto.

Yes. To get a larger, widescreen, QT movie you will have to use iMovie. I recommend you useiMovie HD 6 as it's much better for adding music, etc.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How can I put some movies to iPhoto?

Hi, how can I put some movies to iPhoto? Is there a type of the file that I can convert my fully renderred .mov (a QT files made out of FinalCutE) files/movies to, so iPhoto (8 or 9) would accept? (then I want to upload the converted (?) little movies from iPhoto to Web Picasa...
And in a case that it is possible - how one can do this?
    Thanks.

Have you tried importing your .mov files into iPhoto?

  • How can I use my itunes library for iphoto slideshow?

how can I use my itunes library for iphoto slideshow?

    Here's a possible workaround:
Create the slideshow in Iphoto and add a theme and music.
Install Picasa  and it will include the slideshow on it's indexed list.
Upload the slideshow to PicasaWebAlbums and send the link to anyone you wish.
The music and theme is preserved.
Caveat: My playback pictures appear darker than usual but that could be just lousy photography...:)

  • How Can I put an Artists Live Albums in a separate folder, so they sort by "Concert Date" in iTunes and do not "intermingle" so to speak with Studio Albums?  Is this possible?

How Can I put an Artists Live Albums in a separate folder, so they sort by "Concert Date" in iTunes and do not "intermingle" so to speak with Studio Albums?  Is this possible?
That is about the best way I can phrase my question.
I put year/month/date at the beginning of a show, hoping for them to sort by date and I get mixed results.
Would creating a Folder within the Artists' existing folder  that said "Pearl Jam Live", inside the "Pearl Jam" folder in iTunes Media help this "Date Sorting Issue"?
    Thank you.

Or is there a way to go through aperture to make a new reference library that I can move the masters into later?
you do not move the masters into a references library - you turn your current library into a referenced library.  As Terence Devlin said:
    File -> Relocate Masters
    What you should set up:
Select a folder, where you want to store your referenced files - probably on an external drive.
Decide on a hierarchical folder structure inside this folder - that is completely up to you.
Select a project from your library and use the command "File -> Relocate Masters/Originals" to move the original image files to the folder where you want to go them to. Only take care not to send two projects to the same folder.
Alternatively, if you do not care about the folder structure Aperture will use, select all images at once from the "Photos" view and let Aperture decide how to assing the folders - in the "Relocate Originals" dialoge you can specify a subfolder format.
