How can I quit a setup during installation

How can I quit a setup during installation?
The program I am trying to quit is 'CANON_IJ'

Restart or force restart the computer, if it refuses to restart, i.e. repeat the steps already shown by Noble Seven. If it stubborn, and does not restart— well, in dispair of solutions, press power button for 6 seconds until mac shuts down. Wait one minute and press power button again, you will be able to eject the disk now.
This is not a recommended solution, try to calmly quit all activities, including by forcing mac to quit them. If you succeed in logging out, you will be able to restart it normally.

how can I quit Microsoft Database Daemon & SyncServicesAgent so that I can update Microsoft Office for macs?

I tried all the solutions above, and the many others that are posted on various other forums (involving shift keys, activity monitor, dragging and dropping apps, renaming etc).  None of them worked.  SyncServicesAgent and the Daemon App would reactivate evcery single time, within seconds.
What worked for me was to start the update installation and get to the point where it require syncservices etc to be closed.  At this point, i DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET.  (I also quit syncservices and the database daemon in Activity Monitor but I don't know if that step was necessary).  Then I went back ot the update installation, clicked continue and it all went fine.
So the answer seems to be: go offline.
    Good luck
No, the answer is to quit the MS daemons that are running (database and syncservces), on or offline is not relevant.
You can't quit the daemons if Office is running, so exit Office first.

  • Where and how can I place and setup my airport to reduce EMF exposure?

I want to reduce EMF exposure from the Airport Time Machine which is sitting on my desk right now. Where and how can I place and setup it up?

What role does the TC have in your network?
If you do not want EMF (actually RF), exposure, move it as far as possible away. There is no rules.. but the inverse square law.. if you double the distance the radiation will drop by 4times. So for every double distance you drop RF by another 4times. Far more EMF is coming from the computer than the TC. So you should move that away as well if you are worried about EMF.
Let me also say, as doubtless others will, the RF exposure from TC or any wifi is tiny.
Firstly they do not continuously transmit.. it will pole briefly every few seconds but only will transmit during actual file transfer.
The power output of say a cordless phone is aprox 10x that of the TC. And that is or can be the same microwave freq as wifi or near to.
The mobile phone in your pocket is doing the same thing.
There is no proof that microwave radiation at such minute levels will do anything harmful.
If you have headaches etc which you believe are caused by wireless.. then do not use wireless.. turn it off and cable everything. Shield your house as well.
As a general principle.. shielding is effective.. If for instance you have a 27" imac on your desk.. place the TC on the wall behind the imac.. the metal of the imac will shield you to some extent.. although of course some radiation will bounce from other objects.
Any shielding of the TC will reduce its effective wireless range.. ie you can put the TC in a metal cage.. (look up Faraday Cage) which will stop all radiation.. If you open windows in the cage.. it should only get signal in those directions but it is not a neat easy rule. And obviously I can achieve the same thing by simply turning the wireless off.
The v5 utility has a control of power output on the TC.
This is just the same as distance.
Transmit power is able to be set to 10%, 25% and 50%. At the cost of range of course.
If you run Mountain Lion you will have to use tricks to load it.. but it can be done. Lion you can download it.

  • How can i verify if a tuxedo installation is clean and complete?

How can i verify if a tuxedo installation is clean and complete? I just want to know if the files have the correct size before starting with the simpapp

    Hi,
    you could try the following:
Find the file named tux.env under your installation directory (a k a TUXDIR), it may be named /opt/tuxedo or something like that.
    Execute that environment setup:
    . /path/to/tuxedo/tux.env
Ask Tuxedo what version it is:
    tmadmin -v
Your answer will look somewhat like this:
    user@host> tmadmin -v
INFO: Oracle Tuxedo, Version 10.3.0.0, 64-bit, Patch Level 119
which will inform you of the Tuxedo version, word size and (possibly) patches installed.
    Hope this helps,

  • How can i do for setup a update server?

We have a mac network environment, We want to setup a update server for upgrade all of the mac computers automatically. The Server has already installed the MAC OS X Server 10.5.5. How can I do to setup?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Eric

Take a look at this page on the Apple site.
    http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/
All the current manuals for Leopard Server are listed in the lower right hand column.
You will want to look at the one for "System Imaging and Software Update Administration".
You will find you have two choices once you configure the Software Update portion of Server. You can use Workgroup Manager to manage the clients to receive updates or you can point unmanaged clients to the local update server via command line.

If you registered PSE before, go to the main page of adobe.com, sign in and go to your account and you should find the serial number there in your purchases.

  • How can I quit (close) Photoshop and keep all windows so that the next time I open Photoshop the fil

How can I quit (close) Photoshop and keep all windows so that the next time I open Photoshop all the files that I had open are there already in the same position as when I closed Photoshop?
I've been a Fireworks user for over 10 years and just switched to Photoshop. I cannot find a setting that will enable all my file windows to reopen when I quit Photoshop. This is really a problem since I often work on several files at the same time.
Please let me know if the feature exists or point me to where I can post a message for a new feature to be implemented. The feature is a must for any designer working on large projects.
    Thanks!

There is no such functionality. You could perhaps create a script that stores that info in a custom text file and arranges them accordingly in the workspace, but that's as good as it gets...

You can't. This issue can be caused by anti-virus software. Try disabling it while you install Firefox. '''Do not forget to enable it again!'''

  • How can serial numbers be produced during creating production orders???

In our company, the basic manufacture process are as follows:
    1.CO01  Create production order
2 MB1A  Goods issue to production order
    3 CO11N Produciton order confirmation
    4 MB1A Goods Receive
For some finished product with serial number management, when doing MB1A goods receive ,we
will input the serial numbers into the SAP for the first time. That means the serial numbers
    was produced when doing MB1A.
But for some reasons,we wish when we create a production order, the serial numbers can be
produced for the finished product. That means we will release a production order, the serial
numbers can be produced for the finished product of the production order, can be auto
    produced or by input manually.
We do not want the the serial numbers to input into the SAP until doing MB1A.
What can we do to produce the the serial numbers for the first time after release a
    production order?
How can serial numbers be produced during creating production orders?
Thanks very much for any reply!!

    You should configure the SN profile to allow that the order can be released w/o SN;
but... for the other issues, we have used and user exit that - after saving the order - generates a SN according to a given logic.
We could not fina dan easy way of creating the SN after relasing the order or when doing the GI.

Force-quit Photos as recommended by Arsenal1607.
Make backup of your iPhoto Library and run the iPhoto Library First Aid tools to repair the permissions on your library and rebuild the iPhoto Library.
To launch the First Aid Tools hold down the  alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto Library to launch the iPhoto Library First aid tools. You'd to hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
Try both the options "Repair Permissions" and "Rebuild library".  Then try again to migrate the iPhoto Library to Photos by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock.
Make sure, you have plenty of free storage. Don't try the migration, if you are running out of storage.
