How can I re-dl a song that didn't dl completely initially?

I downloaded a song a while ago, and now realize that the song just cuts out about half way through the track.  I can't seem to re-download it using the iCloud suggested method because the little cloud download logo doesn't appear - instead it says "downloaded" next to the track name.  Can anyone help?  Thanks!

It doesn't show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - I thought from your original post that it was already showing there but not with the cloud symbol for re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then you can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours)

  • My new I5 uploaded doubleded all the songs from my library! Please, can somebody help me showing how can I delete just the songs that was doubled?

    Hi there everybody,
My new Iphone 5 uploaded doubleded all the songs from my library! Please, can somebody help me showing how can I delete just the songs that was doubled?
Some help will be greatly appreciate.
    Thanks much!

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer?  Your iTunes library does not have an email address.  An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases.  Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID.  In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password).  That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS.  This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE:  If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).
If that's not what you mean by "changed the email address on my account," please post back with more details.

  • How can I remove and delete songs that are stored in iCloud? I really dislike this feature.

I really hate this idea of having all of the songs that aren't on your iPhone being out back in there through I cloud. They aren't on my device for a reason. Thanks a lot iTunes.

  • How can i find all the songs that deleted from my nano 6th gen after updating?  It deleted them out of my itunes library as well

When I updated my Mom's Ipod Nano 6th generation it deleted all the songs in one playlist and then deleted them off my main computer.  How can I restore these songs without having to repurchase them?

    Hi Luinsan,
It sounds like you’re looking for a way to recover lost music that was purchased from the iTunes Store. The article linked below should help, it will walk you through the process of downloading past purchases.

  • TS1424 How can I re-download a song that was never downloaded in the first place, because of access error in the iTunes store. It's grayed out now so I can not even attempt to download it again.

I was downloading some Kelly Richey stuff, and one of the songs started to download but then stopped and I got an error message saying something about not having enough permissions to do what I was doing.

Unfortunately the battery ran out and since its no longer charging either... I'd say its ka-poot for this little iPod. But as far as I recall, when you right click the "unknown device" on that picture I posted there's a drop down menu with tons of options. I didn't dare click on any coz I might just make things worse.
I've also done the whole uninstall then reinstall iTunes related stuff. That didn't work as well. I think there was another webpage which gives you like 13 potential steps to solve the problem. I recall having to empty my laptop's temporary files for that.
Anyway, my last resort was plugging it onto a whole new computer and restore it to factory settings from there. Well that computer didn't even recognize anything plugged. I tried USB ports 1.0-3.0 on that one too.
That being said I do wanna say thank you so much for trying to help me out. You're awesome. And for those who happen to find a solution for this... please post it here how you did it. Just in case I ran into the same problem again.

  • HT1386 how can i get all my songs that are on my ipod onto my iTunes without losing the ones that weren't purchased on iTunes?

I got a new laptop and I wanted to put my songs that are on my ipod onto my iTunes without losing the songs that weren't purchased. I have no way of getting onto my old laptop to get the songs if I lose them so I was wondering if there was any other way.

  • How can i recieve my full songs that had problems redownloading from iCloud?

I had to restore my laptop, so i needed to use iCloud to redownload all my past purchases. Well 20 of those songs that i redownloaded aren't the full song and cut off my ability to listen to the whole song that i paid for.

Delete the corrupt copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I have 1661 songs in laptop iTunes but only 1660 on iPhone after syncing. How can I easily identify the song that did not sync?

Is there an easy way to identify which song did not sync correctly?
I have performed a sync three times and problem remains.
    Thank you.

One thing that comes to mind would be if you have a music video and your iPhone isn't setup to sync videos.
You also may have one streaming item in your library that would not be synced to your iPhone.
You can try making a smart playlist where Media Kind is Music Video, or Kind contains Stream.
There are a few other instances where this might happen, but I would start by looking for these.

  • How can I download the old songs that I've lost from my iTunes Library?

    Good Morning everybody,
I have a problem with iTunes Store.
I've bought some songs 10/15 days ago but, right now, I've lost it from my iTunes Library due to total backup of my MacBook.
There is any possibility to rescue my latest download from iTunes with pay once again those songs?
If there is the possibility, what I have to do?
    Thank you so much.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).
If you're in a country that doesn't have this feature yet for music you can wait and hope they eventually have it, or you'll have to rely upon backups.
I believe some people have successfully asked Apple to let them download a second time free but they do not have to allow it and they do not regard it as a substitute for maintaining a backup.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

    Hi,
If the tracks were not in your iTunes library on your computer when you subscribed to match, I am afraid that they are lost. Do you have a separate back up of this music?

  • I have more songs than I can put on Ipod.  How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space? Thanks

I have more songs than I can put on Ipod. Will unclick some songs but one at a time is taking forever. How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space needed on iPod? Thanks

Why not try syncing a smart playlist that updates automatically every time you sync your iPod?
    Try something like this:
    1. Pull down File > New Smart Playlist;
    2. Playlist IS Music; click the plus button;
    3. Last Played IS NOT in the last 90 days;
    4. Select the option to Limit to xxx items selected by Random and click OK.
Name the playlist that is created something distinctive then sync you iPod with that. It will automatically update based on the last played dates of a tune and you'll always have fresh content on your iPod. Modify the playlist as needed to make it give you the results you want.
    Regards,
    Michael
