index.dat is not one of the files used by Firefox, that is for Internet Explorer. You may need to contact Facebook to get access to your account again.
Once history and cookies are deleted in Firefox they can not be recovered. -

How can I recover my bookmarks, history, profile?
This is very frustrating.
I abuse my Firefox, it's true. I run upwards of 30 tabs on a regular basis and save most pages to my bookmarks.
What recently happened, is that upon starting my computer, my Firefox had no profile, no bookmarks and no history or download history - like it was an new install or something. I have so much important information stored up over years, so it's important that I retrieve my old bookmarks.
I usually just restore old sessions, so the last time I had used it, I just closed normally with an open session of 20+ tabs. I think for the first time, I had also sent in a crash log on that day. I had also installed a week prior to this screw up, an add on which allowed me to duplicate tabs. Of course, it isn't attached to the browser anymore.
Please help.The first method returns an error.
The second method: there only seems to be one profile in appdata, and this is with everything unhidden. I can see some larger files, with a date and time which I last used when my browser/computer were in working order. One of these is an places.sqlite, size is around 82,000KB, a webappsstore.sqlite which is around 35,000KB. I opened the first one with wordpad and even though it's mostly nonsense, some of the text does make itself out to be sites I would have previously visited. Which corresponds to which and how do I import them? Also, if this is an new profile, why do I have old information in it?
For the third, I'm pretty sure there is nothing of the kind. Part of the problem, however, is that when I switched on my computer and the browser was wiped, many of the shortcuts were missing, despite being assigned to desktop if I went looking for their location. -

Sounds like boot sector corruption to me! I suggest you download Testdisk a product of CG Security. Use the latest version that is NOT beta. Boot the computer to a bootable CD such as Hiren's Boot CD. Run the DOS version. Do NOT write anything to the hard disk, such as a log! Do a deep search for lost partitions. When given the opportunity, look at files and folders. Finally, do a rebuild of the boot sector, and compare that to the current boot sector and backup sector. The write a verified version of the boot sector back to the hard disk. Note: Testdisk 6.11.3, under DOS, will show DELETED FILES IN RED. You can then OFFLOAD them to another drive or USB stick. in the Tools tab, there is a Clear Recent History function. In this, you can choose the time stipulant which you would like to be cleared... Once this is done, how can I recover the Recent history to see what has been browsed?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Was the iPad originally set up on a different computer, and hasn't been synced to the one that you are now trying to use ? There are some instructions on this page for syncing to a new computer : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
(Before trying that you could copy any important files/documents off the iPad so that you have you own backup copy of them e.g. depending upon what the apps support then email them to yourself, use Dropbox, copy them to your computer via your wifi-network.)
You should be able to copy iTunes purchases off the iPad and over to that computer's iTunes via File > Devices Transfer Purchases, but if you have music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) which aren't in that computer's iTunes (and you haven't got a backup to copy them onto it from) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For recovery mode, that will result in your iPad being put back to factory defaults i.e. all of your content will be removed from it -
How can I make sure my history doesn't expire and that I can transfer over places.sqlite?
There's probably alot of questions on this subject asked already but I've gone over just about all of the possibly relevant ones that've been already asked and I still can't figure out what to do. I'm trying to move my complete history from an XP Firefox profile over to a Windows 7 profile on another computer. Do I just do it by copying the places.sqlite file within that XP profile over into my USB flash drive, then replacing the places.sqlite in the Winodws 7 profile with the one from the other one? And after the file's in the right profile will I be able to just view all the sites I viewed on the old computer on the new one's history dialog box? I only am transferring my XP history to my Windows 7 because I want to look at stuff several months back and it keeps expiring on me, even to the point of getting rid of a month of history a week or so ago. This brings me to my other point, I keep up fairly well with updating both of my Firefoxes but recently (and I think this was way, way after they updated the browser so the history isn't set to expire by days anymore) the history just isn't reliable anymore. My XP will not only expire older months of history faster and faster it seems, but individual websites at the end of each month will actually disappear as I view new ones, instead of it all staying in there and just expiring each old month as a whole. Also, random sites in every month scattered all over the list of URLs will just disappear, and random sites that I've only visited in the past couple days will insert themselves randomly into much older months of history, which makes it hard to figure out the URLs I've seen, this last one seems like a common problem from what I've read, and all of these problems seem to be slowly creeping into my Windows 7 as well when they were originally on only my XP. The thing is for a very long time my Windows 7 would keep every ounce of my history that I kept on it, unless of course I went through the Clear History process myself. Now it seems to be slowly deleting it and having all the other problems that I mentioned earlier. I've got 592 GB out of 931 GB that's free space on my Windows 7 that I want to transfer my XP history into, and my Control Panel System panel says I've got 8 gbs of RAM in total. If I need to get some other information on RAM mention how to do that if you could. So in total, how can I transfer my XP history over into my Windows 7 so I can view all the sites I viewed on my XP in my Windows 7 history panel, as well as view all the old expired and/or manually deleted history on my Windows 7, without worrying about whether it will expire itself while I'm viewing it and writing down the relevant URLs that I need to know about. If I can only keep all my history through installing an add-on, a link to a relevant legal add-on that'll work well on both operating systems would be appreciated. Thanks to all here. (:

Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept '''without affecting the performance.'''

You can only view your account's purchase history, you can't view a history of card redemptions.
My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
To view your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
You've tried logging out and back into your account to see if your balance then shows ? I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.
