Perhaps the file is not a .pdf file after all.
Anyway, .pdf files are generated by Adobe Acrobat, not by Windows. Checking the FAQs at the Adobe site is probably the best way to solve your problem. I would also run this test: Create my own .pdf file, apply a password, then remove the password.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

There is a Mac 101 tutorial that may help. Try this page first, then scroll down to where it says "About User Accounts". A bit below that is "Creating User Accounts". It may or may not be useful for you, as I think the tutorials are based on Tiger, and your specs show you on Panther. This works great for non-password protected PDF files, but it prompts for a password if the file is password protected. I was looking at the FileOpenEX functionality, but I can not find the reference to bring into my C# project. It looks like it is only for C++, since I could only find C++ examples.

Generally it should ask you for a code for uninstallation, which itself is shown on the screen. Or try putting in any code that you've used when you configured your antivirus.

If a website doesn't offer to store the password then chances are that it doesn't fill that password either if you use the "Saved Passwords Editor" extension. You can only use that extension in such a case as a reminder in case you forget the password.

How can i remove write protection from a Hard drive

Cant write to HDD on win7 keeps saying "the disk is write protected" Drive is in a removable IDE caddy, I put the drive in a USB caddy and was able to format the drive, but still get the same error when i try to write to it, I took ownership of the drive and it shows me as the owner. The drive was used in XP previously but i no longer have an XP system since upgrading to Win7. I have removed the partition with Paragon drive copy and re partitioned the drive, renamed the drive but still gives the same error.

I used succesfully diskpart (on my Windows 7).
In "Command prompt" (Start -> Run -> cmd) type "diskpart" and press enter.
(I wrote "cmd" and then on right click menu I clicked on "Run as administrator").
In diskpart utility (in the same dos window) you have to type "list volume".
You can see your disk (I see all my 4 partitions on the disk that give me the problem) with a progressive number index.
Type "select volume #" and press enter, "#" is the number corresponding to your disk/partition.
Wait the response.
Then type "attributes disk clear readonly" and wait (I wait 2/3 minutes) for the result.
It says that operation was completed, and I can write on my partitions (and run checking/scanning on it).

The hard drive I had problems with had 3 partitions and at least one was write-protected. Just to make sure I used the above "diskpart" commands on each volume and it cleared the write-protected attributes and was able to format the 10Gb partition I used
just for storing the Pagefile.sys file.
The write-protect attribute on this WD AV 1Tb h/drive may have been added as it was previously used in my Foxtel IQ box. I used Ghost 11.5.1 to clone my failing WD 1Tb h/drive that had 1376 delays and 50 bad sectors when scanned with HDD Regenerator
onto the previously used Foxtel IQ h/drive.

This is what I was told by Apple Support on the phone (I had a nasty crash & lost my Max OS X operating system) Luckily I was planning to update to the newer release of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, & backed up all my files just a fww hours before it happend..I currently have version10.7.5). The woman I spoke to said having a Firmware password really causes a lot of problems....so why did it ask me for a password?? I do not understand!!
I could swear I read somewhere if you login as Administratror; you could eliminate this password. My system is finally back up & working. I added a seconday unrestricted login (which I should have done anyway as I know better than that!!). I am going to check a few things out & will definotely let you know the outcome. I was told this might help fix the problem that I can not use an install DVD to boot my Mac. It only boots from an external Firewire HD with 10.5.8. It wont boot from an internal SATA drive with 10.6.3 either. When the option key is pressed during startup the boot SATA drive shows up as EFI Boot, not the name I gave the HD. If I select the EFI Boot it still wont boot from it. Eventually, the screen says I have to restart my computer. Thanks for any ideas.

I did use Diskwarrior on that boot drive. I haven't had any problems with my hardware before and using a boot DVD. Although, my Leopard install disk is version 10.5.1, I'm sure I used it to install the system with my current hardware (NVIDIA 8800 GT). I'm up to 10.5.8 because of system software upgrades through Apple's software updates online. Any other thing I can try? Can I create a Boot DVD with the latest Leopard 10.5.8 on it? Do you think that would work or help? Figures that my extended warranty was over on May 25, 2010. I am getting another mac for my graphics business, what do you think of the new iMac 27" 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7. I'm looking to hire someone in the near future. Thanks for your help!
