How can I remove the forced U2 songs from my iphone without synchronizing?

Hello. I have about 100 songs merely on my iPhone, nowhere else. Apple moved somehow these U2 songs on my iPhone without permission. Now it is like having an undesired cupboard standing in the middle of my living room and I cannot remove it. A synchronizing would also delete my 100 songs. What can I do? Please help!

I had this issue with my iPhone - drove me nuts. Tried everything.
It appears to be an issue with a persistent file in the Purchases folder in the iPhone/iPad directory, which I could only access with a file browsing utility (iBrowse). Once installed you can browse to the Purchases folder and delete all the entries.
Check the box in iTunes to Manually Manage Music and then delete the grey U2 tracks.
Sync and they'll be gone
Fixed!

you can do this by keeping the external hard drive connected and doing the following
-hold shift key down on computer while opening iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose a library
-select choose library, iTunes should bring up your explorer windows where you can search for the external HD
-after you find the external HD find the iTunes folder you just copied to it
-after opening the iTunes folder look for the file that says iTunes library.itl or if you can't see that extenstion just look for a document looking thing in the iTunes folder that shows up as a database file
-double click the database file and boom iTunes should load your library without having to copy it to the computer
PS: do make sure that if you are going to do it this way, make sure that the external HD is connected at all times, because if you don't then you will get exclamation marks next to your iTunes songs
double PS: if you are unsure how to find out if the iTunes library file is a database file just right click it and choose properties and under the type it should say database file

My dad gave me his old iphone as he got an upgrade. I can't seem to change his icloud account to mine. I'm getting his updated calender and his mail - and there seems to be some confusion between both our accounts. He seems to be acquiring some of my contacts - some of which have names which have led to some probing questions... So basically this needs to be sorted out! Depending how many contacts you started with and where they were from? were they on your sim card before? to remove ALL contact from an iPhone go to iTunes / info un-tick Sync Contacts and change Outlook to another addrss book that has nothing stored in it (ie. empty) sync your phone with that and that will leave your phone with no contacts. Next look for the backup where you had your previous contacts loaded (group) and re sync it to put them back. Chech iTunes when you plug in your phone that it doesn't sync immediately when you plug it in to eliminate future problems.

I see that you wish to get rid of the Junk Mail folder from your sidebar in Mail on OS X. I have an article for you that will explain how to do this:
Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Junk Mail. Make sure “Enable junk mail filtering” and “Mark as junk mail, but leave it in my Inbox” are selected.

How can i remove the measurement info bubble from displaying while using patch tool?

When removing unwanted parts of an image or repairing older images, the tool most used by me is the patch tool. When I select a patch and move a bubble with measurements of how far I've moved this patch pops up and ALWAYS seems to be in the way. Some areas to repair are extremely magified and can make or break an image looking natural or not. The darn measurement bubble seems to place itself in the worst possible location for exact placement of small elements. How can I turn this info bubble from popping up as I'm not why it's even there?
