Sorry, but without knowing the Apple ID and password that has been used to set up the phone, you can't set it up with a different Apple ID. The Activation Lock has to be deactivated first. And nobody but the previous owner can do that.

No. You have reached Activation Lock, a security feature that can only be signed out from by the original owner. Not even Apple can help you out with this.
Sorry but the device is useless. Seeing you cannot contact the previous owner then a refund also seems impossible which would have been your only other option.

But, the icloud account email is still set to my old one, so i can't delete it because there's no longer any matching email and password because I changed it on my mac!! It's driving me crazy! Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My dad gave me his old iphone as he got an upgrade. I can't seem to change his icloud account to mine. I'm getting his updated calender and his mail - and there seems to be some confusion between both our accounts. He seems to be acquiring some of my contacts - some of which have names which have led to some probing questions... So basically this needs to be sorted out! You won't be able to delted the existing account without the password. If you don't know it, you'll have to reset it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. If you have trouble doing this, you can try contacting the Apple account security team for your country for assistance: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699. You will have to prove your identity before they will reset the password.

I have a new MacBook Pro and I followed these instructions, downlonading and installing the new Flash plugin. But when I looked in "/Library/Internet Plugins" there was no folder called "Disabled Plugins".
However, I did see two versions of Flash:
_Flash Player.plugin with old date
Flash Player.plugin with todays date
I deleted _Flash Player.plugin and this fixed the problem. -

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device). -

please can some one helpThe ONLY way to remove this data from your phone, is to restore your phone as a new device in iTunes, NOT from backup. You either do that, or you live with it. Currently, there is no way to edit this data on any iPhone.

Assuming you are not syncing with iCloud and you mean, syncing with iTunes only...(you can only use one or the other for syncing to prevent duplicates)
iTunes -
- Open iTunes on your Mac. Connect your iPad. Then click on your iPad (either its name or just "iPad"), then click the info tab (right above the photo of an iPad in the middle). From here you can select sync contacts, then sync groups, and select the groups you want and choose Apply/Sync in the bottom left corner.
iCloud -
- With iCloud if you just sign into iCloud in System Preferences and turn on Contacts, it will prompt to merge all of your contacts that are not already syncing with Gmail or Yahoo!, etc. so there really isnt a way to pick and choose as much with that.
- However if you really want to use iCloud and not iTunes, you could import the contacts that you want into iCloud.com, but you would need to export them from your Contacts App on your Mac and then import them into iCloud (VCard / .VCF is the format you want).

How much was the amount ? A 'normal' holding charge is a small amount (e.g. equivalent to about $1), and usually happens after you add or change credit card details on your account. Here in the UK it can take a few working days for it to disappear (so a weekend can extend the elapsed time).
Edit : I don't know what a non-liability certificate is and/or whether Apple can do one. -

Ok you can reset the stream from www.icloud.com
Goto www.icloud.com
Login with your iCould username and password.
and login
Then click on your name in the top right hand side of the screen next to sign out,
it opens a window Account details with Language, Time Zone, Advanced
Select Advanced - Then click Reset Photo Stream. and confirm, the stream will be reset and totally deleted
I still think you should be able to remove individual pictures though, a blured image etc is a problem
