How can I repair iExplorer on Mac Mini 10.6.8?

I'm getting an error when trying to run iExplorer stating that the iExplorer is incomplete or damaged
Any suggestions on repairing it?

If reinstalling doesn't help, you'll probably need to contact Macroplant support:

  • How can I control my my mac mini with my macbook air (no wifi)?

How can I control my my mac mini with my macbook air (no wifi)? Also...what is the best method (less lag) for screen sharing?
I own a mac mini Quad Server 2.0 i7 and I use it for audio production.  It's great but I need to travel with it. I was hoping some form of screen sharing could be useful using the macbook air to control the mac mini.  Therefore, I'd be using the stronger processor of the mac mini but would still be using the keyboard and trackpad from the air.
    My two problems:
    1.  I can't depend on wifi to make this happen. Wifi is not always available when travleing.  What would be the best way to configure a LAN connection?
    2.  The less lag the better for screen sharing.  Which apps are fastest?
    Thanks in advance.

Both of your devices have WiFi built in. Here is Apple Support's solution:

Composite is analogue with one connector. That is why it is called composite
Component is analogue with three connections. I think one for each color
Here is the one for component. I misread composite for component

  • How can I tell if my Mac Mini has what it takes to support Windows XP OS?

I need some help understanding how the whole Windows OS thing works with my Mac mini. I'm totally clueless about it.
The first thing I would like to know is if my Mac has enough memory & power to accommodate the additional Windows OS without compromising its performance?
Here's a list of what I have to work with. I have no idea about what any of this means but I'm hoping someone can use the info to assess my needs.
    Model Name: Mac mini
    Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
    Processor Speed: 1.83 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 2 MB
    Memory: 1.25 GB
    Bus Speed: 667 MHz
When I bought my Mac mini I was told that its ROM size was 80GB. I partitioned the HD into 2 HDs when I select them individually & choose get info, one partition says MacHD1 Capacity: 39.88GB & the second partition says MacHD2 Capacity: 34.21GB. When I total up the memory capacity of both partitions I get a total of 74.09. What happened to the remaining 5.91GB?
Would it still be possible to install Windows on at least one HD partition or would it be better if I joined the two HD partitions (after reinstalling MacOS) & then install Windows?
Assuming that my Mac has the necessary memory & speed to run Windows, how do I begin the process of installing the Windows OS on my Mac? And, in the same respect, assuming that it doesn't meet the sufficient standards, then what can I do, if anything, to improve my Mac's performance so that it can support the additional OS?
Also, I have Virtual PC with Windows XP installer. When I bought VPC I was told that the package contained the full version of Windows XP OS. Can I use this software to install Windows XP, without installing VPC, or will I have to purchase the XP installation disc? Basically I would be buying something that I already have & I would like to avoid this if possible.
That's all. Any information would be helpful & greatly appreciated. THANX!
    AJ

Thanks for responding. I've actually decided to just throw myself in with the wolves and buy Windows XP along with Parallels Desktop and figure it all out on my own.
    Thank You!

  • How can i control my new mac mini using my new macbook air? Thanks

Hi, I would like to control and even file share my macmini using my macbook air... the mac mini is plugged into the family 50inch plasma... so getting access to it is not always easy! I'd like to play itunes, films, file share, just about do everything from the macbook air as if I was on and in front of the macmini... i'm hoping to do this from any country using wifi!
I've looked at screens - vnc client, but can;t find anywhere where it says I should download the app... is there a master to download to the mac mini, then waht do i download to the macbook air to enjoy control... also am i expected to download twice and pay twice?
I'm very new to the mac world... loving it, but lots to learn! Appreciate your help, thank you
    Chris
PS... bonus if I can also control the mac mini using my iphone4 and ipad 2 (yup, my bank balance took a major hit.... apple certainly got me hooked!)

Sceen sharing is built into the OS  go to your help in the finder and type in "screen sharing"
To set up screen sharing: (on the mini)
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Sharing.
    Select the Screen Sharing checkbox.
To specify who can share your screen, select one of the following:
All users: Select this if you want to allow any user with a user account on your computer to share your screen.
Only these users: Select this if you want to restrict screen sharing to specific users.Click Add at the bottom of the Users list and select a user from Users & Groups (accounts you have set up in Accounts preferences), Network Users (users on your network), or your Address Book. Or click New Person and enter a name and password to create a sharing account. Then select that user from the list and click Select.
Click Computer Settings and set the following options:
Anyone may request permission to control screen: Select this to allow anyone on your network to request to share your screen.
VNC viewers may control screen with password: Select this and enter a password that VNC viewer applications can enter in order to control your screen.
It’s recommended that you not set a password if you only share this computer’s screen using the built-in screen sharing viewer in Mac OS X.

  • How can I connect a new mac mini to my old vga monitor? There doesn't seem to be a mini display port

I have an old monitor with VGA port, and was wondering if anyone knows how to connect this to the new mac mini. Older mac minis have the mini display port, and if that were the case I would use the mini display port to VGA adapter, but this new mac mini doesn't have one. It just has the thunderbolt port or HDMI port for displays... I've been looking for an adapter to connect my display to one of these but cannot seem to figure it out. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The Thunderbolt port is the one to use; you use the same mini-DisplayPort adapter you used for the older minis.
    Regards.

  • How can I set-up my mac mini server to be a central file server for my windows boxes (they don't see the mac on the network), and how do I set-up a central iTunes server so that all my devices sync to the mac mini?

I am looking for step by step instructions to configure my mac mini server to support the following:
    1. Central itunes server for all my devices (ipad, ipod, iphone, etc.)
    2. Central file server so that my windows devices can save and retrieve data from the central system (the mac does not show up in the network for the windows systems - all running windows XP or 7)
    Thanks,
    Keith

You will need to enable file sharing in System Preferences
as well as setting up sharing and permissions for the
directories that you want shared.  You may also want to
setup a non-administrative user or allow limited guest
access.  The user would require entering a user name and
password to make the connection, but would allow remotes
to change files, if set up tat way.
As for serving iTunes media, better to post in the iTunes forum.

  • How can i share folders at Mac mini late 2009 with Apple Tv 3?

I'm using Mac mini 2009 and I can't share any folder with Apple tv 3...anyone managed to get a way to do so, so far?

I have a WLAN at home conneting Mac mini (late 2009), PS3 slim and xbox 360 in the living room and I would love to share whats on the Mac mini with AT3 in the guest room upstairs, physically it wont be possible to control both screens at the same times. The files I have are on external HD connected via firewire + USB to Mac mini and they are a mix of avi, mp4, mpeg etc. I'm talking about 3 TB of movies and series (its still legal here in Dubai to download ;-)). starting to convert such amount of files its not an option. AirParrot is a good option when I have media stored on my MacBook pro and would like to play it no AT3 but I used Beamer it works great for such function.
    any ideas folks ?

I'm curious about this, too. You may have to purchase an Apple USB Superdrive. I'm getting one of those soon anyways.
You don't have to use an Apple drive.  Any name brand
USB CD/DVD drive will work.  "Off brands" are best to
be avoided regardless of computer.  LG's seem to work
    quite well for me.

  • How can I transfer files on Mac Mini Server?

I purchased this week a new MacMini Server and as brilliant as it is, I seem to have loaded all my files from my MacBook Pro onto the wrong disk; ie, the Macintosh HD2 rather than the Macintosh Server disk.
The question is, how can I effect a transfer easily to the Server HD.  Then I would like to delete everything I put in the HD2 from my Time Machine transfer?
I fear I really flipped on this one!
    Any helpful comments appreciated.

Your best bet is to boot from the Server Disc (hold down option at the reboot chime sound) to select it.
Then run Migration Assistant and connect the MBP via Firewire cable and move the required files over
Once done just erase the HD2 Volume
DO NOT copy or Clone the System folder and Library from the MBP as it's not compatible.

  • HT3231 How can I migrate to new Mac mini from Power Mac G5 running Mac OS X 10.4.11 (85165)?

Mac Mini's Migration Assistant requires a version of Migration Assistant on Mac G5 which isn't compatible w/ OS X 10.4.11. So Migration Assistant won't proceed with a migration. Any way around this?

"I have an Iphone 4s and i can't make a connection to my mac and other devices via bluetooth! ":
    That is correct.
"Why is this a problem and how can i repair it?"
Becasue this has never been a feature of iphone/ipod/ipad.  There is nothing to repair.
