How can I report a problem with downloading?

I purchased a rather long album and halfway through downloading it gave me the message, "We could not complete your istore request. The network connection timed out. Error 8003." The only guidance it offers is to check the network connection. Nothing wrong there. Now I can get into the store and the balance of the album no longer shows up under downloads, just old stuff that really shouldn't even be there. I went into my account, and under purchase history clicked onto "Report a problem." All I got out of that is the same page minus the report a problem button.
I'm frankly sick of this iphone and all the problems I've encountered with their upgrade failures, but this disappearig report a problem just tells me they really don't want to hear from you and no one is minding the store.
Any other places to report a problem? Or advice onto how to get the missing songs?

  • How can I fix my problem with importation of mediafiles

    Hi folks! Got a big trouble, my macbook nearly crashes (after some water inrush) and I took the opotrunity to rescue all my itune songs by exporting them on a DVD (I guess the right expression is mediafiles for them) I burn them on the DVD and put them to my PC. The importation went quite smoothly but after done some of the files can't play back. A message pop out which told me that it isn't allowed to open this file for me without logged in into itunes account. Its only allowed to log in with our user profile on max. 5 pc/macs. But I'm logged in, and my PC is the 4th of 5 PC for loggin in.
    Can anybody advice me how can I fix this problem and get all my songs played?

    how can I get round the problem I have with itunes. I have bought and downloaded various tracks to my library. When I try to sync my iphone from my PC I get a message on screen saying that it is not authorised to play them and tells me to authorise the computer by clicking store, entering apple id and password then clicking authorise this computer. I do that then get a message saying that my computer is already authorised yet when I try syncing the track again the same thihng happens. Im getting nowhere!

    If only some of the songs on an album are giving you the authorisation message, that suggests those song files are damaged.
    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

    Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

    All purchases are final (after all, you can't exactly return them as you would a physical object). If you contact iTunes Support and ask them very nicely it's just possible that they may agree to refund you as a one-off concession, but please remember that they are under absolutely no obligation to do so.     Having problems with problems downloading Firefox to a computer that has a slow internet connection. Trying to install Firefox on a computer running XP that has older Windows Explorer program. The computer was used as a stand alone computer and not connected the internet for a few years, so no recent windows explorer updates have been made. The computer seems to perform well otherwise. Have been advised by tech adviser to try loading Firefox to get most up to date browser. The thought was Windows Explorer is running too slow due to being outdated. The computer is connected by a Ethernet cable to a router. Other computers use this setup successfully. Limited internet connections can be made, so the computer modem does work. The download using Windows Explorer is timing out, due to outdated browser. Have tried to install Firefox on the computer using portable version of Firefox on USB drive. Have also tried to download to another computer, saving the install program on a USB drive, then placing the file on the older computer. Looking for suggestions on how to install Firefox on the older computer that can't download the program directly. Feel if can get Firefox on computer, can make necessary updates to computer and slow internet connection issues will disappear.

    Some updates are better handled by Internet Explorer or the built-in updater, such as any updates from Microsoft's Windows Update or Office Update systems. (These systems are not compatible with other browsers.)

    I have some unauthorized charges and when I click on "report a problem" on the bottom of the purchase history, it renews the page with "report a problem" next too all the purchases. When I click on one of those, it just takes me right back to the iTunes home page. Does anyone know how to do this please?

  • My iPod automatically purchases apps, how can i report the problems by using email, is there emails than i can use?

    I'm from Hong Kong and this is my first time using this.
    In the past few months, my iPod had been automatically purchasing apps/updates/points I had not notice it until this few days when my email showed that I had purchased apps for more than $100USD.
    So ireally want to report these problems to Apple about cancelling my purchases. I did once before and it suceesed. However, this time when i try to used iTunes to report the same problem about my cancelling purchases, it did not allow me and it came straight to Apple websites. I tried it thousand time, and it still doesn't work.
    Therefore, my question is than is there any other way that i can contact with Apple Store such as through e-mail.
    If any one knows what is the email or any other way, please reply.

    Try going to Apple Support, and e-mailing them from there.  If you got hacked, they will probably be able to cancel the purchases.  They are great.

  • How can I debug a problem with the 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s?

    This question didn't get any answers in the "Using iPhone" forum. Thought I would re-ask here. Note, I had to reset the network again today 2 days after the last reset:
    I've been having intermittent problems with my 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s on ATT. Whenever this happens I see full bars etc, but can't browse from safari or get any data in other apps. My wife's iPhone 4 right next to me has no issues at all. Switching on/off airplane mode and turning off/on Cellular Data does not help. The only thing that helps is resetting the Network Settings or hard restarting the phone.
    I figured my problems were hardware related so I took my phone in for a replacement the other day. Things started out fine but after I upgraded it to 5.01 and restored my backup and now I am back to having the same issue today. I assume the issue is with something coming from my backup / restore but is there any way for me to pinpoint what could be causing the issue. I have a lot of apps, I'd rather not have to reinstall and set them all backup manually, but I would if I knew that would fix the problem... but for all I know one of the apps could be causing it.
    Anyone have any logs I can check or testing I can do on my end?

    Unfortunately, Apple does not make any logs available to the average schmoe (like us) for networking, kernel dumps, or anything else (assuming, of course, it is not jailbroken).
    Your best bet is to take it back into the store. Ask them to look at the notes in GCRM regarding the last time this occured, then explain after upgrading to 5.01 it is occuring again. Then ask them for a phone swap since it is a reoccuring issue and doesn't sound like an OS/SW issue. Good luck!

    I'm having problems with exporting Pages files to Word or PDF (I haven't tried the other formats). Whenever I try to export the Page file, I get one message like this: "The document "XXXXXXX" could not be exported as "YYYYYYY". This problem started after the last Pages update, before that it was working fine. I restarted the computer, updated the OS, but the problem hasn't been solved.
    Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Computers are made of parts made by humans and assembled by humans of materials that are not perfect.
    For example, a display cable that was accidentally pinched during assembly would pass quality control testing with flying colors and would not fail until the lid had been opened and closed several times.
    Likewise a display might not fail until powered on and off a few hundred times.

    Ask the recipient to check Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether.
    Also see if you are able to resend the email by following these steps.
    If the problem persists, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer. You need to report the specific item.

  • How can I fix a problem with incorrect drive capacity?

    When I do a get info on the drive capacity it says I have only 2.64gb free. However when I open it and total the folders there is near 300gb free which is what it should be. I can't find what is taking up the space

    First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
    According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
    To locate large files, you can use Spotlight. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
    You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
    Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
    Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
    ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
    Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders. It may take some minutes for ODS to list all the files.
    I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
    When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

  • How can I troubleshoot this problem with the iMac keyboard? My keyboard disconnects and reconnects within seconds but all the typing is lost while it was offline.  This is usually 5 seconds or less but happens 2 or 3 times in a minute.  Annoying!

    My wireless keyboard disconnects and reconnects within seconds but all text that was typed during the time offline is missing.  i have to go back and retype missing parts.  What can I do to troubleshoot this.  The computer is only about six month old.  This problem is new in the last couple weeks.  Thanks for suggestions.

    Beat me to it, Donald.     But there is a possible alternative.  If the batteries have been replaced since new, were they replaced with the same batteries or another make.    There are examples around which do not fit perfectly and leave a certain amount of movement inside the battery housing.  That could lead to instability such as the OP describes.

    Ctrl+C and Ctrl+X are not always working in Google Document opened with Mozilla Firefox 30. This problem first occurred 2 days ago. No changes to the software were made.
    The problem is not stable and permanent. I can successfully copy several lines from document and paste them somewhere else. And suddenly the next one is not copied using ctrl+c. Even ctrl+x is not working until I change the selection of the lines. Sometimes it begin to work after changing the selection, sometimes not.
    I'm using Google Documents for a long time. I always use Firefox to work with them. And I've never had this problem before.

    This problem happens for me as well. I can copy/paste from Firefox initially, but then after pasting elsewhere the Firefox page has to be refreshed in order to copy something else....
