How can I reset my main user from my guest user when I forgot my password for the main user? Please help me!!!

Ok. I know I'm really stupid!
I forgot my main user password and so then allowed someone on my laptop who accidently changed over into the guest user! Now I can't get back into my main user and I was wondering if anybody could either help me reset the password from the guest user or even reboot my laptop so the memory is wiped and I can set up my main user again. Please help me!!!

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
     Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
     instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

Hi,
I recently did a Time Machine backup of my MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion) onto an external HDD. Around the time of the last backup, my system was behaving funny so I decided to rebuild the OS X.
Because the last TM backup was of a system that as mentioned, was somewhat 'unstable', and I only had a few backups available (didn't have TM running too long beforehand) - I decided not to use TM to 'restore' my system. I just did a clean install of ML and planned on pulling files over manually. I'd done this before and it worked a treat.
This time ran into a snag. The backup disk TM used was an external HDD which I wanted to upgrade (suffice to say it works fine). So, I needed to move the backup.backupdb directory to my other HDD. The copy seemed to work fine ... so far so good.
I installed the new ML OS on my MacBook Pro and that was fine too. I was able to pull most of my files over by going into the TM backup and copying what I needed.
BUT, for some reason, this didn't work for the iPhoto library?
Alas, I found that you need to do a 'restore' iPhoto library file from whithin TM. So I fired up TM and noticed that it didn't recognise the old backup file located on the HDD. I.e. when I turned on TM, pointed it to the external HDD (where I copied the previous backup to), it started a fresh backup.
So ... my question is - "How do I restore the iPhoto library if I can't get to it from TM?"

I've found a solution to my problem.
Time Machine locates extenal HDD backups differently depending if they were done via a network or via a USB/FireWire/Thunderbolt connection.
My initial backup was done via a direct Thunderbolt connection. I ran into the above issue b/c the second time when I tried looking for the backup file the HDD was conencted to my iMac and I was accessing it via a network conenction.
I simply connected the drive directly to my MacBook pro and ... voila. I was able to see the backup, select the iPhoto library and begin the restore.

Hi - you have will have to change the device passwords on all the base stations and then don't give them to anyone except the administrators and tell them not to save them on their computers that use the older versions of the Airport Utility - for the newer versions like the mobile apps, as soon as you enter the pasword it is saved and is visible in the advanced pane along with the network password - so if anyone gets a hold of your iPad or iPhone, they can edit the whole network - I have this same issue with my networks in the office and it is inconvenient but doable - I hope this helps

I need to retain all the formula's and the sheets these formulas are linked from.

Have you considered switching out of Keynote and over to your spreadsheet program when you get to this slide? If you launch the speadsheet program before Keynote you can switch using Command-Tab. You can then switch back into Keynote when you are done.
I realize that this is not what you were looking for but I don't think it is possible to do exactly what you want.

I see frequent change in the password for the DBSNMP users, as a result facing metric collection error for the target instances. Please advise what could be the reason for it. I have created a separate profile for the this user and changed the failed_login_attempts to Unlimited.

You can check expiry date , account_status from dba_users .

It's going to be impossible for anyone in this forum to help with your issue if you don't provide any more detail about your environment and Apex installation. However, from your post it looks like the Apex database objects are missing or invalid.
Did you follow the Apex installation guide step by step? For example, did you run apexins.sql?
It's important to follow the documentation. The script you are running to change the admin user password should not be run until after the Apex installation is complete.

I have used the FM SUSR_ZBV_USER_SEND for deactivating the user passwords . passed bapi method PWDINIT
the report which has been developed will deactivate the password for a given user in particluar sub system.
suppose if i am executing the report in ABC system and deactivated the password of a given user for XYZ system its working fine. However if i am trying the deactivate the password of a user in ABC system . its not getting deactivated.
please let me know what has to be done in order to deactivate the password if i am using the same systems.

The default password for the Portal user in the same password as ias_admin. This would be defined at install time through the Oracle Universal Installer. However, if you're asking about identifying the Portal schema password in the database, you can login to the Directory Manager(assuming you're using Windows)and login as
cn=orcladmin
password: (ias_admin password)
Click on (entry management)=>(cn=OracleContext)=>(cn=Products)=>(cn=IAS)=>cn=Infrastructure Databases => ReferenceName=sid:host=>ResourceName=Portal. Click on the entry and look at the orclpasswordattribute.
Incidentally, you can also find the orasso password by checking the ResourceName=orasso.
Note:198800.1 on metalink would be a good resource to follow.

You router has two passwords.
1) The router login password must be given to login to the router and see the router settings. The default password is "admin". If you changed the password and cannot remember it, the only option is to reset the router to factory defaults (using the reset button), then setup the router again from scratch.
2) The router also has an optional wireless encryption password. To find this password, login to your router, and click on the "Wireless" tab, "Wireless Security" sub tab. Here you will see your encryption method. Nearby you will see your "key" (sometimes called password or passphrase). If you want to reset your key to something different, you can change it here, then click the "Save Settings" button, and wait (3 to 60 seconds) for the screen to refresh. If you change your key in the router, you will need to change it on all your computers.
For WEP, enter WEP "key 1" (found in the router) into your computer, not the password or passphrase.
For WPA or WPA2, enter the key (sometimes called password or passphrase) into your computer.
Also note that if you are using WPA2 encryption, and if your computer is using Windows XP, then the computer will need to be upgraded to SP3 to do WPA2. Vista already supports WPA2.
