How can I resolve as possible security issue with unauthorized computers through QuickTime , as a diagnostic and screen shots show evidence of a Mac computer and I don't have one?
II'm trying to resolve an issue that I have with my iPhone 4s through QuickTime. I think it might be an embedded mms that might broadcasts my info as well as allows remote access sometimes. Any answers or similar activity?, I can support with screenshots of public information . This shows in my emIl accounts as well.
Is your phone jailbroken? If it is not, you're probably not seeing what you think you're seeing. If your phone hasn't been jailbroken, it's certainly not being controlled remotely. What do you mean by an "embedded mms"? Are you sharing an Apple ID with anyone? Or could someone have gotten access to your Apple ID information?

How can I resolve a NAT config issues with Arris router & AE
I'm having NAT conflict issues. None of the existing threads on the forum match my configuration. I have an Arris Cable Router/Modem (Time Warner) with 4 ports. Port 1 feeds an unmanaged switch for ethernet connected devices, and port 2 on the Arris router feeds and Airport Express. Getting "Double NAT Status" on airport utility for the AE. How can I resolve this while not effecting my wired devices ? Thanks so much !
To resolve the NAT conflict you simply need to reconfigure the AirPort Express as a bridge.
You would do so using the AirPort Utility, as follows:
Run the AirPort Utility, and then, select the AirPort Express.
Select Edit.
Select the Network tab.
Change Router Mode to: Off (Bridge Mode)
Select Update and allow the Express to restart. -

How can I resolve my Wi-Fi issue with 10.9.1?
Hi everyone !
Ever since I installed 10.9.1, my MacBook Air has lost the ability to connect to a network through Wi-Fi.
I just can't have access to the Internet anymore, and I tried with two ISP "machines" : the one that's included in my Internet + TV + Telephone plan and my mobile phone that have modem option.
Is there a way to fix this? Is it possible to downgrade to OS X 10.9.0 ?

I won Lightroom 1.0 as a door prize a few years ago at an Adobe clinic in Fremont. I have since misplaced the original disk and cannot get the program to open. It wants a serial number and I don't have one. How can I get the serial number so I can use the software?
Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

If you mean that you don't have a rescue email address set up on your account as described on the page that you posted from (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

My new iPod plays the music over and over again. It does not stop and the volume buttons have no effect. What can I do? The RESTRICTIONS require a a passcode and I don't have one. Any suggestions?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync/delete all music and resync
- Reset all settings

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup.
In order to restore with the unknown Restrictions passcode you will likely have to place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

Possible Security issue with .zip files
I found a potential issue with expanding .zip files. In the cases I've seen, the .zip files were created on Windows using Winzip. After copying the files to my OS X system, I double-clicked the file to expand the files and folders. (In this case the zip files was a Ruby on Rails web application.) In looking at the files in the terminal, all the files had wide open permission - 777 - all users had full access to all files!
I had to go through and reset the permissions (755 for folders, 644 for files), and had to reset the execute permission on the Ruby script files.
I'm going to test some more with more zip files, but this could be a potentially huge problem.
Also, I noticed that the files had the "extended attribute" of com.apple.quarantine set on each file - which I assume is being set as a function of being downloaded via Safari from my webmail (Gmail) account. The .zip file had this attribute set, and when expanded it propagated to each file and folder.The files don't have any security on them from windows - windows doesn't know anything about unix permissions.
I've compressed other files and folders on Windows and decompressed them in Tiger without a problem. I would think, at a minimum, the files would inherit the permissions of the parent folder I expanded them into. -
How can I sum up raws? the Sum function seems to work only on columns. Right now I have to create a separate formula for each raw

You do need a separate formula for each group of values to be summed.
If the values are in columns, you need a copy of the formula for each column.
If the values are in rows, you need a copy of the formula for for each row.
If you set up your formulas as SGIII did in his example (shown below), where every non-header row has the same formula, Numbers will automtically add the formula to new rows as you add them.
"Same formula" in this context means exactly the same as all the formulas above, with one exception: the row reference in each formula is incremented (by Numbers) to match the row containing the formula.
Here the formula looks like this in the three rows shown.
B2: =SUM(2)
B3: =SUM(3)
B4: =SUM(4)
That pattern will continue as rows are added to the table.
Also, because the row token (2) references all of the non-header cells in row 2, the formula will automatically include new columns as they are added to the table.

I started to create an account and when I saw the credit card thing I just clicked back and back and so I closed the browser... every free app or something free I get it appears a window : " You have to review some of your information about your account" .... but I don't have an account yet because I didn't create it.... the only solution is to create a new e-mail account and go to iTunes store and create a new account with the new e-mail and be very carefull with the "Free app" this time... -

You cannot download using Safari at all on the iPad so I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You can only download content from one of the Apple Stores on the iPad - iTunes, the App Store or iBooks.
