How can I resolve bluetooth connectivity issues between my iPhone 4S and my car?

My iPhone contantly unpairs from my car's bluetooth while I'm on a call. The phone is still working and I can continue the conversation if I hold it, but that is illegal in New Jersey. I have tried re-setting the iPhone, and re-pairing it with the car's bluetooth, but nothing has worked. My car (Lexus 350RX, 2012) is up to date with firmware. My daughter has the same issue with her iPhone 4S and her Honda Pilot. I may have to get a Samsum Galaxy if this issue is not resolved.

This is a typical response from the manufacturer. Did you try the fix that Lawrence mentioned. When Apple or any other phone manufacturer update phone software, they have the latest Bluetooth installed. It is usually the problem with the radio manufacturer that they devices are using the older Bluetooth protocols. You can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581 and see if anything there helps, but generally it requires the radio manufacturer to update their firmware.

The Mac and iPhone sync with iTunes though the charge cable that is included with the iPhone. Through this, you can sync your calendars and contacts.
Bluetooth is an impractical sync scheme as the time it would take to say transfer your song catalog could be longer than your phone contract. I suppose it is entirely possible to implement with hacks and jailbreaking, but I am fairly sure it is beyond the rules here to discuss such activities.
You may wan tto ask this same question in the iPhone section of the comminitie here. There may be some workarounds for just contacts.

You can use iTunes to sync the two devices. See the KB article, iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer and iTunes for Mac: sync contacts, calendar and other info.
If you want to use iCloud, your MacBook needs to use at least OS 10.7.4 or later. See Set up iCloud on all your Devices.

How can i fix an update issue between iTunes and my iPod Touch

I've recently found my iPod Touch's cable that plugs into the usb drive of my computer. I Downloaded the latest version of iTunes onto my computer, but my ipod hasnt been updated in a while, and when i plug it in, an error pops up in itunes saying I need to unlock my ipod touch in order to sync it. I cannot do this, because when the ipod is turned on/plugged in the only thing that shows up is the image of the ipod cables usb end with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo. How can i resolve this issue and fix my ipod touch?

You need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes on its syncing computer. For recovery mode see:

I recently purchased a new Samsung monitor and have narrowed down the deficient connectivity to the fact that the Wi-Fi antennae is located at the "MacBook Pro" area of my computer's monitor. I own a late 2009, 2.26 GHz MacBook Pro connected to a 2011 AirPort Extreme Base Station. I've had the same problem, everything was o.k. when lid is open but when I connect it to external monitor and close the lid, wifi signal is very week or there was no signal at all. I tried moving macbook all over the room and nothing helped, untill I tried to open the lid just a little so that macbook monitor stays off, immediately my wifi signal was normal again, strong as it is when I'm using it whit lid open.

Connection issue between Cisco 515 Pix and Cisco 1841 router

Hi,
I am having a problem getting a Cisco Pix 515 communicating to a Cisco 1841. I am currently studying for CCNA so forgive me if it's obvious to the rest of you where the problem lies.
The client currently has an ISDN service which is being moved over to a 2MB E1 connection.
I have configured the 1841 router with G.703 WIC according to the information given to me by the ISP. I have configured the 1841 to have the same internal IP as the ISDN Cisco 800 series router, hoping for a simple swap over. The Pix 515 sits behind the ISDN at present and will be behind the 1841 when it is active.
Once I unplug the 800 series ISDN router and plug the 1841 into the pix, I cannot get any response what so ever. I have tried changing the ethernet connection speeds between the pix and 1841 hoping it would be as simple as that without success. Can't get ping responses from either end but I can when the ISDN service is plugged in. Both ISDN and E1 link are supplied by the same ISP, Telstra Australia and the fixed IP's are able to move over to the E1 service.
I have not touched the pix in any way. A seperate company configured the router a couple of years ago.
I have included the configurations of the existing ISDN, Pix and the 1841 for you to review. Any advise/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

The outside interface on your PIX is configured as 10BaseT which would be fine when using the original 800 series ISDN router.
Now with your new 1841, the interface that the PIX connects to is Fast Ethernet so you need to change your outside interface on the PIX to the same
If you want to use auto negotiation between the PIX and router then the command to do this on the PIX is
interface ethernet0 auto
I recommend using hard coded settings between the PIX and router and the command to do this on this PIX is
interface ethernet0 100full
You will also need to change your router as:
interface FastEthernet0/0
speed 100
duplex full
If you can't configure the PIX as you mentioned an external company did it, then i guess you could change your Fast Ethernet interface to "speed 10", "duplex half".
This won't create a bottleneck as you only have a 2 MB connection to your ISP

I have had the same problem as you, and have spent the past 2 days figuring it out. I have been on the phone with AppleCare 3 times, and been to the Apple Store once as well. I ended up reinstalling iTunes completely, creating a new Administrator account on my Mac, and getting a brand new iPhone 4. None of these fixed the problem. I have a Mac, and I skipped everything except for the Terminal instructions.
I did the Terminal command, added # and a space in front of the only line it showed that had apple.com in it, then saved and exited. My update worked perfectly immediately after I completed those steps. Again, I hope this helps you as well!

Update to resolve bluetooth connectivity issue?

Hello all, does anyone know when an update for the Nokia Suite will be available to resolve the inability ot connect via bluetooth to your phone? I logged a call with Nokia support but although they recognised the issue they were not prepared to give me any information as to when the update would be available. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not that I could find.
The easiest workaround that I could find is a trimmed piece of Black Construction Paper taped over the Mac's display.
Alternatively, you could use an external Mac Compatible Web Cameras and then close the lid, but that is a higher cost option.

Connection issues between 64 bit SSIS and Oracle in 64bit

I've got a Win2K3 Std Ed server (x64) running 64-bit SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition. I've installed the Oracle 10g 64 bit and and installed ODAC 64 bit then oracle patch to take care of () issue, i managed to create a link server on management studio and connect to oracle a 64 bit server
Now... when I try to create a new connection manager in SQL Server 2005 Integration Services i got the following error, the OLEDB provider for Oracle can't be found, and when I try to manually add an underlying OLEDB connection to the database, SQL Server reports: i got the following error....
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. The 'OraOLEDB.Oracle.1' provider is not registered on the local machine.
Note: my sql server agent is not running on this server, let me know if this is an issue.

I think I resolved this issue by installing Oracle 11g 32bit & 64bit clients in the 64bit SQL Server machine.

Have you tried a network reset:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories
VPN and APN settings
If this fails you can try some of these troubleshooting tips:

Wireless connectivity issue between MacBook Pro/ iTouch and Airport Express

I'm creating a wireless network at home using my airport express and depending on the configuration settings I set in the airport utility, I will face the following issues:
1- To connect my MacBook Pro to the wireless network created, I have to set the radio mode to 802.11n only (5 GHz). Any other radio mode (a/b/g compatible or n only (2.4 GHz)) will not work ("Couldn't find the network")
2- Conversely, the use of the radio mode 802.11n only (5 GHz) with my iTouch doesn't work ("Couldn't find the network"). To connect my iTouch to the wireless network created, I have to set the radio mode to 802.11a/b/g compatible or to n only (2.4 GHz)
As a result, I manage to 1) either connect to a wireless network created with my airport express with my MacBook Pro only 2) or with my iTouch only, depending on the configuration setup.
I'm using the latest updates for the airport utility (7.4.2), iTouch (3.1.3) and Mac OSX (10.6.4).
Any help on this?

if you set it to the most compatible with the least common denominator you should be able to connect with both. (If that's what I understand you are trying to achieve).
