How can I restart my iPhone 4 if the lock/power button doesn't work? I know I can turn it off using the assistive touch button but how would I get it back on?

Most intelligent people would not store such sensitive data on a device that could so easily be lost, stolen, or damaged. Even if they chose to do so, they would use the device as designed and regularly sync and backup that device as described in the User's Guide.
Have you done so? If you have, all of the data is either in iCloud or iTunes on your computer. Replace the device and restore the new iDevice with the backup of the old one. -
My iPhone 4 keeps freezing up. I have turned it off, used the off switch n home button to try to restart it. It slowly comes on I type in my pass code which takes awhile to come up n it does do anything. I can't get in to any app.

Put it in a dry place for a week (a rice box is a good idea) and try to use a hair air-blower (warm but not hot) to dry it. -

So changed the password on my ipod touch this afternoon, and eversince then the password is not working. I keep trying the old password and hen the new one but none are working. I know there is a way to unlock it, but that would delete all my stuff and the last computer i synced my ipod to is broken, so ther'es now ay for me to get my things back. It's entirely possible. And it sounds like you already know what needs to happen in order to correct it. I'm afraid you won't be able to salvage any data that hasn't been included in your latest backup of the device via iTunes.

Can't log out of twitter on my iPad. It doesn't work. I am able to do it using the website.
The twitter app for iPad doesn't work when I try to logout. It's so frustrating that I deleted it and use twitter online.
Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -

Thanks in advance for your support.Have you reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen? If that doesn't resolve this, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will not lose any data, but all device settings will have to be entered again.
If that doesn't fix it, your next step might be to backup then erase all content and settings or restore the iPad to factory settings. See how if goes if you reset all settings first. -

Power button doesn't work after new update...and that's the least of it
Ever since I updated my 4S with the new software my phone has had so many problems:
Power button no longer works. I have to hold both the home button down and the power button to "reset" my phone to turn it off.
I am having to do this CONSTANTLY b/c my phone freezes up ALL the time. When texting, using maps, other apps. Sometimes I can't get the freaking thing to even unlock. Texting is a disaster. Half the time they don't go through and when my phone freezes up for the millionth time that day and I reset, I later find out that my freaking texts didn't even go through. I HATE THE NEW SOFTWARE HELP!!If you are able to hold your home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time to reset the phone, you should be able to power it off just fine...

Reinstall OS X using one of the following. The first is for Snow Leopard and the later for Lion/Mountain Lion.
Reinstall Snow Leopard without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Back Button Doesn't Work on Some Websites
How come my Back Button Doesn't Work on Some Websites? It just keeps redisplaying the same page over and over. Example:
http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/frontBack button behaviour can be pretty wierd. I usually use the keyboard combination, but for some reason it doesn't work on PDF's and I have to end up using the graphical back button.
There are some websites out there that for some reason or another break the Back button's behaviour. Sometimes I have to hold down the mouse button to get the back button menu in order to work around that problem.
In another case there was this page in Amazon that wouldn't allow me to go back to. Everytime I went to that page the browser to automatically kick me to the next page. I had to disable javascript to work around that problem.

I did a custom core install for solaris 10. I thought I installed all the packages needed, as well as all the dependacies. I have no man pages! I can not eject cdrom, I get an error: "No such file or directory" When I type vold I also get an error: "
