How can I restore automatic display & selection of addresses of contacts when I type the first letter on my Yahoo addressee bar?
When filling out the addressees (T0, Cc, and Bcc bars) on a new mail in Yahoo, I would type the first few letters of each addressee, and get a display of the names and e-mail addresses starting with those letters. I would simply highlight the ones I wanted to include, and these would be automatically placed on the corresponding bar. For some reason, this display/autotext is not functioning. So I now have to go to "Contacts" to look up addresses that I haven't memorized.

If I understand your question correctly, you are attempting to merge your contacts from your previous phone's backup into your iCloud account, then go back to using your new phone as normal, with the new merged database of contacts. I have an article that can tell you how to do exactly that:

It's possible the website is in your bookmarks and when you type in some letters in the Location Bar that match that bookmark, it is coming up from there. You can very quickly eliminate the mistyped entries with the down cursor key and use of "Del" key on the selected item ("Shift+Del" on a Mac). So you would just have the ones you want. You do not need to type the first letter you can double-click within the entry box to see all items whether to use or to delete.
That does not answer what you asked. If you only want to suppress that, I don't think that would be possible with Firefox alone, but I also would not think that you would want to suppress all autoform entry because of that. -

You can't change and iCloud email account address once created. You can either create a new iCloud account, or add an @icloud.com email alias address to the existing account, which will receive email in your existing iCloud inbox (more details here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.
If you would rather create a new account and keep your data, start by saving any photo stream photos on your phone that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. When you turn Mail on you will be asked to create your new iCloud email address. Type carefully as it cannot be changed later. -
I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

1) type in longer strings that narrow the search
2) use an add-on to search just the beginnings:

I do not know of any such option. I don't think that it is even possible at this time, however it doesn't mean that maybe sometime in the future Apple or someone else will make a way to do such as your request.

When I open compose and type the first letter of the recipients address in the To: bar a dropdown appears with a listing of the email addresses I have sent messages to in the past as well as addresses of my contacts list.
How do I delete an address from this dropdown?Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Superfluous names appear after I type the first letter of a person's name in the text message address bar. Most of these names are people I rarely if ever have contact with, but may have once or twice. They are not in my contact list. How may I get rid of them?
They will also be listed in 'Previous Recipients' in Mail. You should also delete them there.

My itunes account is messed up. How can I restore my playlist folders in itunes? The list's are there but the individual song titles aren't. They are only listed by album. I can only see the song titles as they are played at the top of my itunes. This makes it very difficult to find songs in my playlist. Also when in the itunes store, I am not able to see music genre choices, or search for a song or group.

It sounds like your issue here is that iTunes can not find the files for some of the songs you have brought into it. This happens occasionally even if the songs have not been moved from the location that iTunes places them on import or purchase. When you try to use the song, iTunes prompts you to find the file, as you have seen.

How can I restore my iphone to a backup that's not listed in the drop down menu
I updated my iphone and everything was removed. I attempted to restore it however the only backups that are available when I have the iphone logged into itunes is the one from today. How can I apply an older backup say 1 to 2 days ago to the drop down menu of the restore button? Right now the only thing that's showing up is the one for today and that's abslolutely not the one I want or need. And before the question is asked no I didn't save it to icloud.
iTunes only keeps one normal backup, per device. Thus, there are no previous backups from 1 or 2 days ago unless you restored your phone & backed up before you restored. Restore point backups are time/date stamped & are not overwritten.

Thanks for the question. From your description, it sounds like various Account Settings have been greyed out in your Settings application (iCloud, Facebook, Twitter). The cause for these being greyed out is a restriction setup on your iPhone. You'll probably see that Restrictions are turned "On" in Settings > General.
You'll want to disable the restriction "Allow Changes: Accounts". For more information on restrictions, see this article:

I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.
