something went wrong with my cell phone. when i checked, everyone told me that i will need to add new software, but all the data will be lost. how can i restore these data after updating the software on my cell.

you can use Nokia Pc suite to backup data prior to firmware update. once you update you can restore your backup file using the same software.

iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her. -
How can I stop syncing my outlook calendar with iCloud and not lose the existing calendar data in outlook? The calendar data which downloads to Outlook was also wiped off the Gmail calendar after the iCloud sync, how can I restore the data to Gmail?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. How can I restore the data from a single application in icloud?
Here is my situation. My iPad2 is constantly crashing. Whenever I use an app it runs for about 30 seconds and then the screen blinks black and I go back to my my home screen. At first I erased all the data and settings and tried to restore my backup from icloud. When I did this, it started crashing again right away. Then I erased all the data and reset it to run as a new ipad. In doing this, I redownloaded all my apps and everything is working fine. However, I have about a years worth of data in NoteShelf (note taking app) that is on icloud but that I cannot access. How can I just restore the data from that one app?

Unfortunately you cannot selectively restore from a backup, it's either all or nothing. -

If you forgot your encryption password:
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.
If you can't remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and chooseset up as a new device when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore.

thanks royThere's a menu choice (I think under "Files") that lets you sync purchased items on a device back to itunes. Look for that.
iCloud does not store music. If you want to do that you'd have to subscribe to itunes Match, but to get music to the match servers, you need the music in the itunes library on your computer. -

I use Nokia C3-00, And in My country synchronisation with server is not available except i perform phone switch or with a PC...But in thesame country of mine there is a server people use to synchronise...And when i tried it on my phone with the settings given to me...I synchronised my contacts,notes and calender...and the phone said 'synchonisation sucessfull' but after i restored my phone coz it had an error..and restoring it deleted my data(contacts,notes etc)...Now my question is, how can i restore my data(contacts,notes) that i synchronised ? TSNA - My system crashed 1/2 way through opening up Parallels. I use Parallels for Quicken & Quickbooks only. My system locked up & I had to power down to get any response on the screen. When it started back up I got a screen that said Restore from Time Machine, Safe Startup (or some such words) and one other choice. NONE of which would do anything. - No response to any clicking, entering, up down etc. I called over my Apple friend and he could not get it going,. Ended up having to Reload O/S from the startup disks and reformat my hard drive. Reformatted because I wanted to get rid of Parallels which has painfully slowed down my entire system. I never keep it open unless I am working with Quickbooks or Quicken. Therefore I had decided to start using Boot Camp anyway. So I would have had to reformat my hard drive to do that regardless of this freeze up of my system.
This whole thing has taken days to get my documents off Time Capsule. Time Machine would then not restore to my "new" or reformatted hard drive, so all the files on the Time Capsule were hidden. Total nightmare !
Because now I can't get iPhoto APP back on my system as it is not available and have to use the new PHOTO which I hear is not good. -
How can I restore my data from a backup with different Phone name?
I recently had to restore my iphone which erased all the data. I have a backup of that data in iTunes and I want to restore it to the phone. However when I connected the phone to iTunes the first time after resetting everything, I accidently chose to create a new phone instead of restore settings and data from the backup.
My question is, how can I restore the iPhone from this previous backup? My iPhone is currently called "untitled playlist" and the backup is called "JC's iPhone".

If you restore again, you will be prompted to choose a backup or setup as a new phone again. Then you can just choose your old backup.

I do not have Mavericks or iOS - but the first thing I would do is reset the defaults - I'll use Mavericks as an example

Open System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Language & Region.
Click the Advanced button.
Click the Dates tab.
Click the Restore Defaults button.

Here's the result AppleScript i use to grab the " 'Short Date' ' + ' 'Short Time' " to paste into download filenames - works good until I try to post it here - the colon " : " is a no-no but is fine in the Finder
