How can I restore the EFI? partition

In attempting to install my company's "golden image" on my MacBook via Boot Camp, it instead decided to wipe out the entire drive. As far as I can tell from Disk Utility, the Mac OS X partition (most of the disk) is okay, and the Boot Camp partition is still present (and I don't really care if it's intact or not), but the third partition (EFI? ACPI?) seems to have been overwritten by the Ghost installer.
Is there any way to restore just the EFI partition? What's on the MacBook is replaceable, but I'd rather not if I could JUST repair the EFI partition.
I tried the Firmware Restoration CD, to no avail. Disk Utility "verify disk" says the Mac partition is fine. During boot, I get the "slash circle" (international "do no enter" sign) flashing rapidly with the Apple logo, then a period of a question-mark folder, then back to flashing. I'm GUESSING since the third partition now has a name matching the company PC support package that it clobbered it.

Boot.efi is a file on the hard drive. If is one of many system files. Per the document reference I sent to you if any of these files are damaged, missing, or corrupted they will cause the same warning.
"Circle with Slash - could not load boot.efi, or some other issue."
This has nothing whatsoever to do with partitions on the disk drive. You just need to reinstall OS X. In fact you probably can do so using Archive and Install and not even have to erase the hard drive:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

I have a mid-2011 MBP equipped with Snow Leopard, but at one point I needed to access the AHT, which doesn't boot from the second DVD, released months before. It turns out this Mac requires AHT to run from Lion's Recovery HD partition. Since this Mac doesn't contain any Lion software, is there a way I could install the content of Recovery HD without reinstalling Lion itself so I can have the AHT ready if I need to? Of course I don't want to erase nor get rid of Snow Leopard. Drive is not original.

How can I remove the BootCamp partition drive for Windows 8.1, as the size which I created was too small for me to install Microsoft Office onto Windows 8.1 64-BIt. The machine which I have is the MacBook Pro 13' inch purchased in August 2013.

Either use Paragon's CampTuneX to resize it or use Boot Camp Assistant to remove the partition and restore the drive to one partition. Then create a new, larger Boot Camp partition. This will remove/delete/erase your Windows system.

Since you deleted/format all original partitions, you will need to use the HP Recovery Media you created when you first setup your computer to return your computer to a factory like state. Are the contact details in your contacts app, the phone app uses the contact app to put names against telephone numbers.

In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

FYI: At that time I was using iPad 1 and the OS was still 3.1.x. Now I am using iPhone 4 and would like to restore the apps at least those that are compatible to my phone.

You need to be updated to iTunes 11.2.2.
You might want to consider running the combo updater over your install to refresh your files.

After running the combo updater, select Software Updater and update iTunes.
If iTunes fails to open after updating, hold down the Option key when launching iTunes. It will ask you to locate your iTunes Library.
Note: I've seen users with their iTunes Library on an external drive spin like this when the drive was failed to be seen in Disk Utility. Run Repair Drive on the external drive to fix this issue.

There's a menu choice (I think under "Files") that lets you sync purchased items on a device back to itunes. Look for that.
iCloud does not store music. If you want to do that you'd have to subscribe to itunes Match, but to get music to the match servers, you need the music in the itunes library on your computer.

for example: say i write a paragraph. then, in a weird some sort of way an involuntary gap suddenly appears between different letters of random words(i did not recognize any pattern to the gap appearing) throughout the entire paragraph. once i've double clicked on that paragraph, and made a minor change, lets say tapped a 'space' key, and then clicked ctrl+z to undo, it has aligned(or fixed) the entire paragraph and made it look ok again. i've tried numerous ways to undo the entire thing, but cannot find the reason. i've been working for a few years and there's no reason why this thing all of a sudden should happen right now.
if anyone has stumbled on something like that and can advise, i would welcome it.

You cannot get around Activation Lock without the oringinal owner disassociating the iPad from their account.

You can keep trying to restore the device from backup until you remember the password. If you're having trouble, try:
Leaving the password field blank

Your computer account password, if you have one
Email passwords you may have used
Your Wi-Fi network password
Website passwords you may have used
A password for hard-disk encryption software, if you use it
