How can I restore the factory installed software on my 4S?

My 4S was working fine until I upgraded to 5.01. Even the battery was working well. I used the phone for 4 days before I had to charge it. The use was a combination of standby, email, facebook, SMS, MMS and photo. After the upgrade to 5.01, the battery goes form 100% to 0% in 8 hours just on standby. The settings are the same.

Recently, few days back I found my system had some viruses as my machine got slow day by day. I formated the official windows 8.1 that came with the laptop and also formatted all available partitions too. Now, I need that HP's recovery manager back to restore my laptop to its zero meter state. But unfortunately, I have not find any solution to my question after researching it on the forums. I have a local warranty for my laptop. My machine's model is 15-d000se. Can HP help me suggest how can I restore the factory settings back? Is there any solution to my problem? Can I get that HP recovery manager or is there any alternative solution or software that can do this exact job like HP recovery manager. I need to factory reset my hp machine.

Since you deleted/format all original partitions, you will need to use the HP Recovery Media you created when you first setup your computer to return your computer to a factory like state. If you didn't create this media, please contact official HP support in your region / country, via the HP Worldwide Support Portal, to see if HP Recovery Media is available for your computer.

Problem: Recently when I open iTunes it doesn't work; the little pinwheel just keeps spinning.
I have tried leaving it on, as suggested by another user, for over 12 hours. I didn't work.

You need to be updated to iTunes 11.2.2.
You might want to consider running the combo updater over your install to refresh your files.

After running the combo updater, select Software Updater and update iTunes.
If iTunes fails to open after updating, hold down the Option key when launching iTunes. It will ask you to locate your iTunes Library.
Note: I've seen users with their iTunes Library on an external drive spin like this when the drive was failed to be seen in Disk Utility. Run Repair Drive on the external drive to fix this issue.

You can keep trying to restore the device from backup until you remember the password. If you're having trouble, try:
Leaving the password field blank
Your Apple ID password
Your computer account password, if you have one
Email passwords you may have used
Your Wi-Fi network password
Website passwords you may have used
A password for hard-disk encryption software, if you use it

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. Did you ever get an answer on this? I'm trying to get photos back on the iPhone as well, and the best route i can come up with is to let iTunes "sync" photos, and manually recreating albums on the computer to try to add to the phone. It didn't seem to work on the first try, but after powering down the phone and rebooting it seems to be working so far. Very time intensive though, to find the desired pictures in iPhoto then "reveal in finder" and copy to the "Pictures" folder.

How can I restore the "Sync Now" button on iPhone 5? (using iTunes 11.0.2) All software up to date and sync works by WiFi or USB if initiated from iMac. Bento syncs fine from iPhone 5. The "Sync Now" button just doesn't appear anymore. All I see is the message to connect by cable and click "Sync this phone over Wi-Fi". I have tried that and turned things off and restarted and re everythinged - no button. Syncs fine on WiFi if the computer initiates it. Wife's phone bought same day - no problem.

Turn on Wi-Fi syncing
Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and select your device.
Click Summary.
Select “Sync with this device over Wi-Fi.”
Disconnect your device from your computer.
Your device still appears in the Devices pop-up menu in iTunes unless you click the Eject button .
If you click Eject, your device is removed from the Devices pop-up menu, but Wi-Fi syncing remains turned on. Your device reappears in the Devices pop-up menu the next time you open iTunes.

Even though I have a credit card I manage my iTunes account use gift cards. I prefer to keep the credit card for emergency purposes only since it's too easy for me to get carried away with it and run up the balance.
The problem here is in the Canadian iTunes Store you _can not_ use store credits for software or game purchase. According to this post - http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=231967 - it is apparently against Canadian tax laws and commerce restrictions to purchase these with store credits or gift cards. Also as suggested in other posts here using PayPal to add credits to your iTunes account will not work since they are credits.
I don't really understand the issue here. I pay cash for my store credits and I pay cash to pay off my credit card. My gift cards were probably bought with a credit card. This will restrict sales in Canada since I would guess the majority of iPod owners are too young to obtain a credit card.
