How can I restrict Lion to only allow certain network users to login when bound to an Active Directory?

Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to configure which network users can login to a lab of iMacs running 10.7.4. They're being deployed using DeployStudio, and the Macs are bound to an MS Active Directory by a script that runs as part of the workflow. I'd like to have another script run after the AD binding to permit only users in certain AD groups to be able login to them.
I'm halfway there, in that using dseditgroup I can easily add AD groups or individual users to the relevant group (deseditgroup -o edit -a <domain\\group name> -t group com.apple.loginwindow.netaccounts. After running this I can see the desired groups added to the list in Sys Prefs -> Users & Groups -> Login Options -> Options. However, membership of this group is deemed irrelevant by the fact the radio button above this list for 'Allow these users to log in at login window' is still set to 'All network users' and not 'Only these network users'.
Does anyone know of a way to enable the 'Only these network users' option via the Terminal/a shell script?

You can make your network the preferred network.
 > System Preferences... > Network > Advanced... > Drag your preferred network name to the top of the list.

I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard to go to Lion. I went form 10.3.5 to 10.6.2 then upgraded to 10.6.8 and am now being told I need 10.7 to download Lion. My software is up to date so how can I get Lion? It also tells me I need 2gb when I have more!

I have been trying to upgrade to OS Lion but am unable to as it requires 10.7 I have 10.6.8 and this is the latest upgrade I can get. How can I upgrade to Lion?
I have all the other requriements, except 10.7. How do I get that?

I just re-checked and I dont have enough ram from the outset. So the first thing I need to do is get that installed.
If you know how I can delete this thread to stop wasting people's time, let me know.

How can I restrict options result to only one cost center?

In transaction KS03 (Display cost Center), when I search for a cost center (hit F4), I have an option to drill down by Company code, controlling area, Cost Center Category, Person Responsible etc.
My question is, how can I restrict users to select only controlling area they are authorized for ? Is there any authorization object I can use to restrict user's access to particular value in the table CSKS ?

How can I restrict certain apps to cellular data only?

Product Name: iPhone 6
Product iOS: 8.3
Background: I listen to Pandora at work through my iPhone 6. My work has pandora traffic blocked through their WiFi network. I want to keep my iPhone connected to the work WiFi because 1) I don't want to turn on and off my WiFi on my phone 2) I want to my email and other apps to use WiFi since they are not blocked.
Current Workarounds (not a solutions):
1) Turn off and on WiFi on iPhone 6- This is a pain/hassle and I forget to turn the WiFi back on.
2) Switching to a different streaming music providers that aren't blocked by work WiFi- I pay for Pandora One and I like this service the best. I really don't want to switch.
3) Download music to iPhone memory- I pay for Pandora One and I'd like to use it.
4) Jailbreak- Not sure if this a solution but I'd rather not jailbreak my device.
Question: How can I restrict certain apps (Pandora) to use cellular data only?

The network settings in iOS are global and do not support assigning specific networks to specific apps. You cannot do what you describe.

Two purchase organisations, different document types and different material groups
our user is procuring a materials for CDMA using GSM materials codes.
How can i restrict him.if he selects GSM purchase organisation he should procure only for GSM using GSM materials codes.

But the problem is that we have two business CDMA and GSM business.
The enitity and reporting will be in the same company code.
So we came up with two purchasing organisation because the first purchase organisation was already assigned to company code.
and the business want different material groups for difeerent business.
Ex: one material 100000000 DESC : Switching with material group NWTR
the same material with different number 1000000001 Desc: Switching material group : GNWTR
Now the user while creating purchase order for GSM ,he is using CDMA material.
I want to restict the users that if he selects document type and purchasing organisation of GSM. System should allow only GSM materials.

A user TEST_PLD08 should only allow to see output for the querys which consist of the keyfigure PLDQUACMP and not for other keyfigures while other user TEST_PLD07 is allowed to see the output for querys consist of any of the keyfiguers.
so I have assign a authorization profile PLD_TEST07 to the user TEST_PLD08 with KeyFigures authorization as mentioned below and it is working fine

Hi,
I donu2019t think so there is any configuration for this kind of purpose.
You can only do by the authorisation.
Just give the user authorisation that only this person can change the value of the credit control area.
And I think so that will be usefull also because if every body has authority then any body can change the limit which is not good.
First they have to take permission from the authorised person and if he approved then only he should change limits.
So just try out the user authorisation for your purpose.

Hello
When you set up a project there is an option called Transaction Control.
This option allow you to list the allowed or restricted elements of costs for the project.
You may enter the transaction control on a project template and that will be copied to any new project.
The cost elements may be expenditure types, expenditures categories, suppliers, employees, etc.
In your case, I suggest to set up specific project templates for each operating units. On each template enter the list of allowed expenditures types for that OU.
Doing so, the system restricts users from entering any expenditure item, supplier invoice, purchase cost etc, against an expenditure type, which is not allowed.

still finding to do so....
what i have realized that LDAP is just to store user information in inverted tree... and one have to build separated access security mechnisum that will be applicable to j2ee system....

Hi folks. I read that you were allowed to virtualize 1 instance of Lion after purchasing Lion. How can I virtualize Lion if I don't have any install media with one of the new macs?

If you bought on of the new MacBook Airs or Mac Minis, you will have a short term problem as the you will not be able to download a fresh copy of the Installer. See my post here.
This problem should go away soon probably with 10.7.1
If onthe other hand you bought one of the oleder models and it came with Lion, then you can download another copy of the installer by:
Open the App store.
Hold down the option key while selecting "purchased"
Lion should now say "Install" rather than "Installed".
Click install to download a new copy of the Installer.
As soona s th installer automoatically opens after doqnloading, quit it
Save a copy of the installer from Applications.

then the total no of records overflows to the next pages and the
next page heading comes much below to it's designated place.
Max.no of records property in the repaeting frame is for the
logical page.
How can I restrict the max. number of records per physical page ?
