How can i retrieve deleted iMessages from my phone

Hi there
Could anyone please give me advice on how I can retrieve deleted iMessages from my iPhone or iPad?
Thanks

Unless those deleted messages are part of your most recent backup, they are gone.

If you backed up your iPhone after the texts were made and before you deleted them you can Restore them in iTunes from your backup.

Did you backup your device after you took the video but before you deleted it?  If so, restore your device with that backup.  If not, then there's no way to retrieve that video.

You can also try a disk file recovery program like Disk Warrior.

    No Backup?
    Simply put, you can't.
I won't rub salt into it anymore, but I guess you have just learned the importance of backing up your information.
A mistake we've all made (once).

If they were photos taken with your iPhone and you have Photo Stream activated through iCloud they are in the cloud. If not - they are in the wind.

Restore your iPhone from the last backup you made before you deleted the photos from the iPhone. An iCloud backup (or an iTunes backup) saves the content of the camera roll.

How can I retrieve old texts that have been deleted?

I would use a program like iExplorer to perusue your backups.
    1. Search for iExplorer, download it, install it.
    2. Plug in your phone
    3. Click continue with Demo on the lower right
    4. On the left side panel select "Browse iTunes Backups"
    5. From here select the iOS device and then click Messages... now you can look through your messages..buying iExplorer will allow you to search your messages.
Also, check out DiskAid, I believe it will let you look through your backups and search may work without purchasing, just understand that both programs will have some limitation in demo mode.

I haven't backed up my iPhone 5, and I need to retrieve deleted imessages. I am aware of systems that can be purchased to do so, I just didn't know if anyone had any experience with this and could help me out?

You can't retrieve them if you've never backed it up.

  • How can I retrieve old iMessages (from phone) from Messages on my computer

    Hi,
I recently installed Mavericks, and now have Messages. However, it only seems to have access to my texts from one person, and no one else.
I have tried the steps described here—
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17818978#17818978
—without success. In particular, my Contacts are synced via iCloud, my phone is aware of my Apple ID, its own number (which it automatically sends from), and two email addresses, and my computer knows that same Apple ID and phone number (which it is set to send from) and two email addresses. When I attempt to start typing a text message to a new contact, my text history with that person does not import. Their name shows up red.
Much worse, when I tried to send texts to someone else (who I know uses an iPhone) via Messages, it instead sent it to the one person whose texts it has imported. I would rather be able to text more than one person.
Thank you for any advice you can give.

    HI,
Just to restate to make things clear.
Lets presume the Apple ID is already on the Mac in Messages for the iMessages account.
Then you should add the Apple ID to the iPhone.
Once this is done the iPhone should show the number and th Apple ID in the Send and Receive spot.
If you restart the Mac version at this point you should get a pop up saying what the iPhone is using.
You should accept this and it will add the iPhone number to the Messages app > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages account details in the "Receive At" spot which in turn should show the drop down for "Send From".
It is possible to have an email at Apple for your Apple ID that has never been verified.
If this is the case there can be issues with the iMessages side of Messages and FaceTime.
Go to the Apple ID site
Login using the Manages option and make sure your email is verified.
(it should send you an email and you click a response link to confirm).
This may explain why the Mac version is not logging in properly and showing you the red names when you start to set up a conversation.
    EDIT
Also you can only "Sync" the iMessages from the time both devices have the same Apple ID

  • How can I connect my imessaging from my phone with the imessaging on my macbook?

I want my imessaging from my phone to correlate to my computer.

Associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
    and on the iPhone:
Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
    Then, on the phone, tap
Use Your Apple ID for iMessage
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test.
