If you activated the Find My iPhone service (in Settings>icloud), and if the device's batteries still have a charge, the device is not turned off and has not been reset and is connected to wifi, then you can try to track it. Using a computer, log into icloud.com and look at the Find My iPhone page. On a device, invoke the Find My iPhone app (get it for free at the itunes app store) and log into the icloud account.
If the device is listed as "offline", then one of the requirements listed above is not met (like being connected to wifi, or if the device was stolen and the thief reset it).

I used touchcopy to copy the songs off my ipod touch onto my new computer, so i could then load them onto my ipod nano. I have got the songs on the nano, and theyre still on my touch, but there is no album artwork on either. For my nano, i can use iTunes, but the computer my touch is synced to is, well, dead. IF you set up find my ipod on the ipod itself AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi AND it has not been found and restored, then you may be able to get an aproximate stree address using icloud.com.
Otherwise, you annot track it.

You cannot use someone else's apps without violating the license agreement. The apps are tied to the owner (via Apple ID). The right thing to do would be to update and start fresh.

That is what a restore does. It erases everything and reinstalls the ios.

If you connect your ipod to your computer then look in the hidden folder labeled "iPod_Control" . (This is on a Mac version, but i think it's the same for Windows) and in "Music" is all your music mixed up in different folders. Just drag the MUSIC folder onto itunes then BAM! It's done ;D
