I installed the Oracle 8i using RH 7.1
I had the NLS_LANG wrong
so it could create the database
I dont want to install it again all the Oracle
I wondering how can I run again the installation assistant for the creation of the database

You can not install iOS 5. It is no longer signed by Apple. You can only install the current version of iOS. For a 3GS, that's 6.1.3.
However... if you have 4.2.1 on your phone, odds are it is not a 3GS, it is a 3G. If that's the case, you've reached the end of the road for that. It can not run anything higher than 4.2.1.

Getting the request for a serial number means that at some time you had the iWork ’09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. The easiest way to fix the problem is to use Yvan Koenig's AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip. Download uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button.

SqlNet 2.3.4 & Net8 - how can they run on the same PC?

I have an application that requires SQL-Net 2.3.4 and I have another application that requires Net8. I have installed Net8 into the same folder as SQLNet was installed - per instructions in the Oracle8 Users guide, Chapter 4. The application that runs the Net8 works fine, but the application that run SQLNet works except for when it tries to use the "Microsoft ODBC for Oracle" driver. Then I get an error "Error in Vantive Connect Timer Routine 3151 ODBC - connection to "Vantive_Reports' failed." Does any one out there run both Net8 & SQLNET on the same machines? Do you have any hints on how to make it work?

I used to be able to see the emails sent from the device on the sent mailbox and the emails sent from the MacBook Pro on an automatically created folder called "Sent Messages" that disappeared. I tried deleting the account and creating it again, both on the computer and on the iPhone, but the problem persists. Any idea on how I can solve this problem?

On your Mac
in your Mail App, open the folders on the left hand side, by clicking SHOW on top.
GO down, where your email acount is and unfold.
Select the SENT folder. If you cant find it, it means it's already used as your SENT folder. Skip next step.
In Mail App Menu select MAILBOX -> USE THIS MAILBOX FOR -> SENT
Maybe that does the trick?

Run again the server assistant

I got a minimac server with Snow Leopard Server and when I installed I configured all the details like it was going to be a server only for internal use but now I want to use the mail and iChat server from outside and I dont know how to change all the parameters so every computer gets an update preferences for all services.
How can I run again the server assistant? or how can I change the preferences? I dont find anything neither in WGM or Server Admin.

I have used the changeip so now the server is using the external dns name but in server admin the Computer Name is the external dns name but the Local Hostname remains the same.
I think I understand what you are saying and that sounds correct. If you post real names then I can double check for you.
Another problem is the automatic configuration, mail, ichat, address book, still uses the old names. How can I change managed clients?
Not sure if you are saying the names of the services on the server HAVE changed and are all working correctly, but the client setups are now wrong? If that is the case and you need to change settings for Managed Clients then, I cannot help, but others here should be able to. I suggest this question may be answered and you should start another one that will make it easier for others to reply to.

How can I run a SubVi in background when a sequence is running in the main VI

When I push a button on the main VI, a SubVI (#1) must run and take data.
At the same time, a sequence, in which there are other subVIs must run.
My problem is that the subVI #1 does not run when I push the button. The sequence is running well. How can I run both the sequence and the subVI at the simultaneously?

Hey Hugo,
Sounds like you'll just want to do some parallel loops. I'll attach a screenshot of a VI that has a sequence where the counter goes up to 3, then restarts, each time it reads the iteration count from the subVI above. (The subVI is just a while loop with the iteration count attached to the global)
Each iteration of the sequence shows an increased count from the subVI via a global variable.
Is this what you are looking for?
Keep in mind that I just threw this together to show functionality, its got a lot of rough edges to it.
