How can I run both versions of Firefox at the same time?

Alright, so I decided to install the Firefox 4 beta 3 as a test sort of thing. But now it's set as the default browser, and, no matter what I do, I can't switch back to the old one! I can't use any of my old add-ons now!

If you are want to test pre-release versions of Fiefox it is best to use a different profile for each version, and then create shortcuts to launch Firefox using the correct profile for each version. Firefox store user data in profiles, pre-release versions of Firefox can make changes to the profile that cause it not to work in older versions of Firefox.

I seem to be running two versions of firefox at the same time help!

I seem to be running an older version and a new version of firefox at the same time. I run the new version from startup (it forgets previous tabs from last session) and this sadly does not let me use back and forward arrow buttons so its a bit useless. Strangely when I pop an email window up, the older version of firefox appears with the last few tabs I had browsed.
disabling plugins stops browser starting in new version and back and forward arrows work ok.
any help much appreciated!

Probably a dumb question but can I have two versions of Firefox on my system at the same time?
The reason is because of Add Ons that are not compatible with v4. I'd like to be able to close v4 when I need to use an Add On in v3.

How to use two different versions of Firefox at the same time on Snow Leopard?

I recently upgraded to Firefox 4.0 on my 27" iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.7.
Previously, I was using Google's "Page Speed" along with Firebug in Firefox 3.6.15 to optimize images in my web pages, and to find other areas to optimize.
Page Speed is not yet compatible with Firefox 4.0. I wrote to Google about this some time ago -- no answer yet.
If I run Firefox 3.6.15 in order to use Page Speed, I run into a few problems afterward when I start using Firefox 4.0 again, since they both use the same "Firefox" folder in my "Application Support" folder.
How can I set it up so that I can have two separate "Firefox" folders in my "Application Support" folder?
Or is there an easier way to use two different versions of Firefox simultaneously, even if one has extensions and/or plug-ins installed which are not compatible with the other version?

Please disregard my question. I just conducted more web search and learned how to use Firefox's profile manager in order to make a separate profile for Firefox 3.6.15.

How can I run both Leopard and Panther on the same machine?

I currently have a Powermac G5 with Leopard running nicely on it. I have 2 hard disks.
What I would like to do is install OS X 10.3 on the machine so that I can switch between the environments - please can someone explain how to do this?
I'm assuming I need to partition one of the hard drives and have done with the second hard disk (not the startup disk), but I'm nervous about what to do from there and really don't want to mess up what I've already got - please help!!

if you have two hard drives the easiest might be to install panther on the second hard drive. this way you don't have top partition anything. make sure the drive is properly formatted it should be formatted mac os extended journaled with APM partition scheme. then just boot from the Panther install disk and install panther on the second drive. note that this will only work if your mac originally came with panther. did it?
to switch between installs you can change the startup disk in system preferences->startup disk. then reboot. alternatively, reboot normally and hold option at the chime. this will boot you into startup disk manager where you can choose which drive to boot from.

Can the USB-8451 run both I2C & SPI Interfaces at the same time?

I have an 8451 on the way and initially will be developing a driver for our product using the SPI I/F. I am also developing a test setup that will use the I2C I/F and need to know if 1 8451 will handle both at the same time or will I have to re-configure each I/F when I need to use it if I have only 1 8451 in the system?
The SPI driver will communicate with our product & the I2C I/F will communicate with the test fixture...

Well, you may be only able to open 1 VISA session to the 8451, but that doesn't mean you cant use both SPI and I2C at the same time. I guess it depends on what your definition of "same time" is.
I have a project that uses 4 SPI channels and the I2C using a single OEM 8451 simultaneously without having to create a new session for each use. Just create and store (I do it as class data) the visa session handle and create and store all your channel references. Each channel you create does not need its own VISA session. I access the 8451 from several different VIs asynchronously without any problem. The VISA protocol will sort out coincident requests.
Buying a seperate 8451 should definitely not be required

I would like to know is it possible to use both INSERT and UPDATE at the same time in one interface because I have a requirement in which I have to perform both the task.
user send the file which contains both new and old record and I need to save those in MS SQL database.
If the record exist then use UPDATE otherwise use INSERT.
I looked on sdn but didn't find any blog which perform both the things at the same time.
Interface Requirement

> JDBC(INSERT & UPDATE)
I am thinking to use JDBC Lookup but not sure if it good to use for bulk record.
Can somebody please suggest me something or send me the link of any blog or anything to solve this problem.

          If I have understood properly the scenario properly,you are not performing insert and update together. As you posted
"If the record exist then use UPDATE otherwise use INSERT."
Thus you are performing either an insert or an update which depends on outcome of a search if the records already exist in database or not. Obviously to search the tables you need " select * from ... where ...." query. If your query returns some results you proceed with update since this means there are some old records already in database. If your query returns no rows you proceed with "insert into tablename....." since there are no old records present in database.
Now perhaps the best method to do the searching, taking a decision to insert or update, and finally insert or update operation is to be done by a stored procedure in MS SQL database. A stored procedure is a subroutine available to applications accessing a relational database system. Here the application is PI server.   If you need further help on how to write and call stored procedure in MS SQL you can look into these links

    Still you might face some problems while your scenario runs. Lets consider this scenario, after the stored procedure searches the database it found no rows.     There must be other methods to avoid this problem. But the point is you need to be sure that all access to database for insert/update operations are isolated.

I have 2 user id's with apple, i bought 26 songs from my laptop recently using my work e-mail. I plug my i-pod to sync it and it says that my i-pod is tuned with another library. i don't want to erase the songs I have already because they are about 760 and the new ones are 26 only. how can I combine both user id's and consolidate all the music into one user id?
everytime i try to do something it asks me to reset the password. I have done it already 6 times.

Alright, please follow these steps in order to get it working properly again.
Please change your Apple ID back to your old email address (that you used as Apple ID before) here: http://appleid.apple.com
Then go to all your devices - iPhones, iPads, Mac etc. - ("Settings > iCloud") and delete your iCloud account from this devices (+ turn off Find My iPhone, but I guess it will ask you that anyway)
After that go back to http://appleid.apple.com sign in again, and now change your Apple ID again to your new email address.
Finally, set up your iCloud account on all your devices again.
Now, everything should working properly again.
