Mountain Lion (primary OS X) & Snow Leopard (secondary OS X) on same machine?
I have tried to install Snow Leopard as a virtual machine, but it tells me that I do not have a server version. I do not have server version for both Mountain Lion & Snow Leopard.
I though about using Boot Camp to accomplish what I want to do, but later discovered that this is only if you wish to run Windows.
I need older version os OS X so I can play Command & Conquer 3. If anyone knows a way I can achieve playing this game in Mountain Lion, then could you please share withn me how to do this.

Response to Rant: as suggested by the last post, Apple's license to use the underlying technology they call Rosetta expired with new versions of OS X commencing with Lion and continuing with Mountain Lion.
You can install Snow Leopard (client, not server) into Parallels 7 or 8 as follows:

However virtualization programs such as Parallels do not emulate complex video very well, so many games will not perform optimally this way. You will have to try them and see:

Other options if upgrades to these games are not available:
1. If your iMac supports it, partition or had an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard, as suggested by last post;

What I would like to do is install OS X 10.3 on the machine so that I can switch between the environments - please can someone explain how to do this?

if you have two hard drives the easiest might be to install panther on the second hard drive. this way you don't have top partition anything. make sure the drive is properly formatted it should be formatted mac os extended journaled with APM partition scheme. then just boot from the Panther install disk and install panther on the second drive. note that this will only work if your mac originally came with panther. did it?
to switch between installs you can change the startup disk in system preferences->startup disk. then reboot. alternatively, reboot normally and hold option at the chime. this will boot you into startup disk manager where you can choose which drive to boot from.

Alright, so I decided to install the Firefox 4 beta 3 as a test sort of thing. But now it's set as the default browser, and, no matter what I do, I can't switch back to the old one! I can't use any of my old add-ons now!

If you are want to test pre-release versions of Fiefox it is best to use a different profile for each version, and then create shortcuts to launch Firefox using the correct profile for each version. Firefox store user data in profiles, pre-release versions of Firefox can make changes to the profile that cause it not to work in older versions of Firefox.

How can I run a SubVi in background when a sequence is running in the main VI

What I want to do is this
When I push a button on the main VI, a SubVI (#1) must run and take data.
At the same time, a sequence, in which there are other subVIs must run.
My problem is that the subVI #1 does not run when I push the button. The sequence is running well. How can I run both the sequence and the subVI at the simultaneously?

Hey Hugo,
Sounds like you'll just want to do some parallel loops. I'll attach a screenshot of a VI that has a sequence where the counter goes up to 3, then restarts, each time it reads the iteration count from the subVI above. (The subVI is just a while loop with the iteration count attached to the global)
Each iteration of the sequence shows an increased count from the subVI via a global variable.
Is this what you are looking for?
Keep in mind that I just threw this together to show functionality, its got a lot of rough edges to it.

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

Why not try to import your SQLJ project in SAP NWDS. Add all the jars mentioned to the project path both for compile time as well as runtime. Now try running he project. Once you are able to bypass java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, you will get other errors related to SQL statements. These Oracle SQL statements needs to be converted to OpenSQL format.

If the rman job is in fact a Scheduler jobs (appears in the dba_scheduler_jobs view) then you can create a second event-based job that runs after the rman job (and set the raise_events attribute for the rman job).

It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.

??First of all, you're not even calling the Happy Holiday one. If you want it to do something, you have to invoke it.
And by the way, in your comments, you mention that in one case, a new process is created. Actually, new processes are created each time you call Runtime.exec.
Anyway, if you want the output from the processes, you read it using getInputStream from the Process class. In fact, you really should read that stream anyway (read that URL I sent you to find out why).
If you want to print that output to the screen, then do so as you'd print anything to the screen.

Reports version: Report Builder 6.0.8.13.1
Oracle version: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0
I want to run the same report for different input parameter values and spool each o/p to different file and ftp to a server. For this, as a first step, I am spooling different input values in to a file, reading those values through a loop and calling the report for that input values. Each report run/execution is taking 15 minutes. Total report execution is taking approximately 4 hours (assuming 16 different input values) to complete. So I have to wait 4 hours to see ALL outputs.
I would like to run the report parallel for ALL the input values and I should be able to see the ALL outputs with in 15 or 16 minutes.
In my shell script, I added & symbol at the end of the report call to start/run the job in the background. Due to this the control passed to the next step after the report call. At this place I have an ftp command to send the output file to a different server and it is giving error some thing like o/p file is not available/created yet". This is due to the fact that report writer is NOT yet completely started/initiated or it is NOT completed the spooling.
How can I run the report at the same time for all the input values and save the time?

Increase the number of server engines running right now it seems there is only one engine running ,increase it to 4 or 6
and then atleast 4 or 6 reports will run simultaneously.
For FTPing the output add to your sript to check whether it is locked and if not then only try to ftp .
Also for more better functionality read the document (chapter 15 ) for 10g reports for its new fuinctionality.
