How can I save a page doc to iPhoto

This is what I found in the support but I don't have the option, "Save PDF to iPhoto," in my PDF pop-up menu from Pages or from printing a PDF file;
You can save your document as an iPhoto album. Each album image displays one page. You can then transfer your document’s images to any iPhone or iPod that can display images. For example, you could display a Keynote or PowerPoint presentation and use a song from your iPod as background music. Any transitions or animations in your presentation will not appear.
To save a document to iPhoto:
Open the document and choose File > Print.
Choose “Save PDF to iPhoto” from the PDF pop-up menu.

That is my proposition. I got iPartion and iDefrag lite when I was about to upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard. The application has served me well. Read this page first http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iPartition-faq.php
But you could spare yourself and just do the work manually with the document.
1. Export or Print to PDF
2. Open the pdf in Preview and Save as JPEG
3. In iPhoto Import the document
A little more work but you'll get the document wher you want it!
I found this article http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24713 .

    (1) The OP is technically correct - there is no direct equivalent of  "save as".   There is "save a version" and there is "duplicate".
    (2) So far it seems that to get the same effect as "save as" you need to create a "duplicate", then save the duplicate.  The duplicate will automatically be given a name like "docname.copy.pages", which can be changed to that desired.
    (1) nobody wrote about the technical aspect of the OP's question !
    But, you wrote something wrong.
There is a "Duplicate" item, a "Save a Version" item and there is a "Save…" item.
    (2)  The reproduced help page clearly state that the first step is to trigger 'Duplicate' For the second step, it's not clear. It seems that the ones writing the Help were not informed of the definite choices made by the developers. They wrote "Save As" but never was such an item. It was "Save As…" in which the ellipsis is an important component. At last, the developers defined two items : "Save…" and "Save a Version" ( at this time I'm running 10.6.8 so I can't check if this item has or hasn't an ellipsis).

    Hi...

In Pages, go to File > Export > Word, so the document will be saved in .doc to be able to use it in Word

  • How can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT - it's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)

how can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT?
It's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)
It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?
    Thanks
    MG

This is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment.

How can I save a pages document so it can be opened in a Windows (Word) program?

Word can't read .pages documents. You have to export the Pages  document to a Word document. File > export or share > Word
Download the Pages User Guide from your Pages Help menu to learn more about how Pages works.

  • How can i save my importing photos in iPhoto but edit in photoshop elements 11?

how can i save my importing photos in iPhoto but edit in photoshop elements 11?

    You have two options:
    1. Set PSE as your external editor for iphoto and send the photos from iphoto. Save (not Save As) without changing the name or format and iPhoto will remember the original + the last edited version. (To get back to the original you will have to lose the edits, though.)
    2. Export the photos from iphoto, work on the copies, make all the changes you want to name and format and then reimport the edited versions to iphoto as new files. This lets you save as many different versions as you like.

  • How do I save a page doc in word (so I can attach it to an email and send it)

I'm a poet who has to submit my poems via submission managers at literary journals.  Most journals need these attached in a Word doc or Rtf file...but I can't figure out how to covert an existing page doc poem to a word doc so I can do this.
Also, is it possible in pages to "save" a pages file as rtf? how?
    Pat

    thank you Tom...
I did try this...  am still a little confused.   "share" doesn't work ...I get a message that IWORK is discontinued.
Also, after I go to export and click on "Word"  and click on export again....where does the resulting file go to get stored?  Is it on my computer then (on the desktop if I say that's where it goes?)...so that when attaching it to the submissions manager I would hit "browse" and find it on the computer/desktop and then hit attach?   I'm not even sure I'm explaining this right.

When you are ready to save your Pages doc, hold down the option key while selecting the File menu. Now, Save As ... appears. Select it.
Initially, you will see iCloud on the selector. Click and hold, then choose Desktop from the drop down menu.
Now, click on the little down-arrow. This opens a file selection window on the Desktop, where you can scroll to the existing Folder, create a new one, and then save your file.

  • How do I save a Pages doc to my desktop folders?

Hi, I'm new to Mac and Pages and want to save a document to a folder on my desktop.  But I don't have Save As as an option in File.  I appear to be able to save only to iCloud or Documents essentially.  Any suggestions?

  • Pages doesn't offer HTML, how can I get a Pages doc to be embedded?

How can I get a Pages document embedded into an email? I do not want to turn it into a pdf... what are my options. I have Freeway 5 Express if this helps.
    How-to's and suggestions welcome.

What exactly do you mean? Do you just mean you want to be sure it shows as an inline attachment? You can't really control that, if so, since it depends on the recipient's mail program/server/personal settings. This is true for real HTML mail, too.
There is nothing to guarantee that if you could easily convert a pages document to HTML, the recipient would not receive it as just an attachment. In any case, I suppose you could copy/paste into a freeway file, publish that to the desktop and attach it, but really, PDF is a much, much better choice.
